    • @@smollgar legit competitor? Understatement of the century. He had second place finish in WSM and Lalas won Arnold's strongman (in which Hall never came close to winning), had a terrible neck injury during competition and still came back afterwards to get 3rd place in Arnold's strongman.

  • Got to love Eddie’s showmanship. Can’t really armwrestle for toffee, but he makes a big show of shouting and screaming to bring the energy to the event. He’s one of the best things to happen to strongman in decades.

    • Jamie Slater hes brought alot of attention to wsm and built it up really well with his netflix documentary youtube channel etc hes a great personality n class for the uk. The rivalary of brian shaw eddie hall and thor brought excitement to wsm

A lot like Connor Mcgregor, I personally did not give 2 flying fucks about strongman until eddie halls 500kg deadlift and then the competition between himself and Thor. I also stopped caring about strongman once Thor retired until EDDIE HALL rep'd the shit out of the latest comp on his yt channel. Just because you dislike Eddie does not mean the statement above is wrong. He's been well ahead of the rest of the competitiors in terms of keeping himself in the spotlight for ages, other strongmen are even following his lead lol no hate to the others tho theyre all incredible underrated athletes.

  • Eddie had a really good chance and a pretty even fight, but Lalas clearly knows way more than eddie and has had a lot more wrist training, giving him the edge he needed to win. Overall rating: 9/10 really fun to watch, even though I knew Lalas was going to win.

  • Nice you guys .Vytautas looked comfortable as hell. Even if Edie was in a proper higher position in his hand he had little to work with, even if you'd dyno their max effort, it looks like Vytautas was like 15% above Ed, when holding onto him. In a gentlemanly setting without slipping even more .

  • Whilst Eddie was only using his arm and shoulder, the pro was using his Lats and legs a lot more than Eddie was, especially when he was rocking and rolling Eddies knuckles onto the pad. As ever Eddie was a top sport when he lost but imagine if he did some proper training like Larry Wheels is doing?

    • i think it depend on how much strength can biceps give you, you need good genetics in arms so for an example theres good bench presser but they are not good in biceps curls and why im saying biceps curl because many forearm exercise need an elbow strength so even if you curl 200kg you wont be strong in arm wrestling , you need forearm strength too with technique and many years of training to strength tendons and ligaments

    • @@boilingtears3157 Lets not forget about hand grip, Eddie could probably 80 90 kg hand grip strength, the average man is 30 40. Yet someone like Khaled who is half of Eddies size can do 107 kg as he is a mechanic with freaky genes.

    • Well he was doing proper armwrestling training for a match with RVJ (Currently the middleweight champ in WAL) this year at WAL 601 but then covid happened and cancelled everything and now he's focused on his boxing match with hafthor instead.

    • I remember that in wsm.They had arm wrestling round and Australian guy broke his own arm as he was up against a guy (Magnus ?)that knew technique and just blocked him.Guy just tried to power through and snapped his forearm

    • I would rather have an arm fight with Lalas. He knows what he's doing, I know what I'm doing, so the risk of injury is very very low. Once you've got the basics down (look at your hand, keep hand and shoulder aligned, move with your body, the likes) it's very unlikely that you could injure yourself. Injuries only happen when you want to win but aren't strong enough.

    • @@deadnan5224 and strength. all the top arm-wrestlers have stronger arms ( for arm-wrestle ) then the thor and Eddie and all of those guys. I would say arm-wrestle is 30% technique maybe more and 70% strength.... it is defiantly a strength sport.
