It stung when I first watched it, because I wanted to see rahmat in Paris. But rizki beat him fair and square. He had the performance of a lifetime and hit the biggest total of any 73 in history. He deserves it.
Incredible session. I’m watching it for the third time. If Paris -73s are half as exciting as this it will be great entertainment.

The Rizki/Rahmat fight was epic of course. The Korean Bak/Lee fight was just as good tho slightly different. I think most of us thought Rahmat’s 206 was doable (at least his first try). Bak missed his first 147 then made 4 clutch lifts in a row putting an intense squeeze on Lee forcing him to take attempts that were just out of his ability. Bak himself was making cl&jk PRs and wouldn’t let Lee back into the game. I wonder why Lee didn’t go up in bodyweight sooner so he might have gotten used to the weight earlier than waiting till the last comp?

TBH the 73kg category is going to be less competitive at the Olympics than at the World Cup. Rizki leads everyone except Shi Zhiyong and Rahmat by 15 kilos. Rahmat can't go the Olympics and Shi may not be sent by china. As long as Rizki is healthy and strong he should easily be able to win.

It’s his ego. He thinks its because he has been dominating the past championship don’t mean he can just take less rest and make it. That packs him up the next 4 years.

The 'click through rate' was lower than a session of this calibre deserved. Sometimes we'll switch the thumbnail to capture a more key moment/iconic moment to help catch the attention of the potential viewer. In this instance Rahmat's 206 attempt is better recognised than Rizki's celebration and is receiving more clicks which is a good thing for the sport/us/viewers.
