    • @@monolithe00 I mean Juji started Arm Wrestling with Devon Larratt at age 35/36 so Brian's not to far off his age. Plus I would imagine it would be easier to use things you learned in Strongman to your advantage. Brian is in crazy good shape for his age and size, despite the fact that at 400lbs he's not FAT he's just built really big. I mean can you imagine the amount of power just Big Shaw's arms have from what 2 decades of doing strongman events a lot of which requiring some form of arm strength. As Derek said, it would be hard for Brian to break his arm, and in order for Brian to break his own arm he would have to do some extreme movements not meant for the human body. I'd say his arm size might be a big of a disadvantage but look at guys like Devon Larratt and Jeff Dabe who both have MASSIVE arms.

It was much later that I learnt about the importance of arm wrestling rehab along with how to actually practice properly on the table that it started to go away. My arm wrestling practice usually goes up to an hour now on the table with no pain and I can easily get like 4 to 5 days of solid table time with no pain. Like all things, you have to get used to it. For alot of people, they leave it cuz they can't bare the pain. But for me armwrestling is the most euphoric feeling in the world. • That's lots of technique and general strategy behind something as crude as arm wrestling, I've certainly started thinking about this sport a whole lot differently. Love Shaw... always the student of physical excellence.

    • Armwrestling is extremely technical. Derek is only touching on the tip of the iceberg here.

    • It should be called arm jujitsu, can take many years to master all the moves and techniques.

  • 1: Derek's a great teacher! I really enjoyed this. Derek is a great teacher and he doesn't rush thing and leave you confused and trying to catch up on principles that he only glossed over. He actually gets you to understand it and doesn't interrupt your questions so you have time to think and work out what's bothering you. 2:Brian is gonna be amazing at this! I like Larry wheels but he's really impatient and can't wait to just use all his power on everything without taking the time to break it down and understand the details. I feel like Brian has a mind that will figure out every part of this thing and because of that his progress is gonna be so fast. Because he already has the strength, that's not something that's gonna be holding him back much, but because he has a sharp and deductive mind, he's not 'muscling' as much as others would. He's figuring it out and giving himself time and that's so much fun to see. He'll be crushing people really soon!

  • I been watching Brian since your first strongman (I think you were 19) and I always enjoyed how humble he is. It’s not surprising that he/you have climbed to the top of your field time and time again. Seeing Brian learn something new like this he asks questions and takes to student roll to learn and sets such a great example of what a real champ is for all the kids to look up to. Great job Brian your a champ for so much more then just being the worlds strongest man.

  • Derek 100% right to focus on backpressure and avoid pressing. But damn, if Brian learned an explosive shoulder press coming almost right at you that would be scary as hell.

    @dude157@dude157 Жыл бұрын
    • Not really scary, he just does not have the conditioning to put the power behind, his elbow would not hold to his triceps and shoulder. More scary would be his low hand top roll in strap with long fingers and forearm.

Levan's reign and the speculations on whom could ever possibly defeat him, Brian's name has been suggested before.
