I can definitely tell a difference where arm wrestling is starting to become popular on KZhead
Mudman8000 It’s quite an interesting sport but it wasn’t something many people could easily access years ago. One of the good things about KZhead is it gives these previously hard to follow sports the exposure and also introduces us more to the athletes themselves and their training.
I think what Devon is trying to popularize arm wrestling so that when quarantine is over and the championships resume, everyone will be more eager to watch. Juji and Eddie will be joining in too so that's gonna get them a lot of views
It's a very risky sport and can easily lead to broken bones on inexperienced people... It WILL become popular, but will take a little while... Tendon + ligament strength takes 3x times or more to develop compared to the muscle belly.
Igor Mazurenko is a great promoter of armwrestling in the entire Eurasian continent, LOTS of public... He should be considered for a collab!

Did Eddie say he was going to arm wrestle and compete at "middleweight?" Eddie hasn't been a middleweight at anything in 10 years.... Eddie eats middleweights...
He was going to here later April, but WAL like so many other things have been cancelled because of "you know what". The reason he would come up against a middleweight is simply to have the match as fair as possible for Eddie. It was also supposed to be on the left hand, his opponent RVJ's much weaker hand.

Devon has endurance. That's where he seems to shine on the table. Endurance and technique. Edit: I'm not saying that Devon isn't strong. Because of his unique strengths, he's probably the most exciting to watch
I think it's cause he used to be in the Canadian military and his stamina and endurance is just off the charts
He is also incredibly strong, it's just specialized for his sport. Take him out of those specific conditions and he doesn't have world-class strength overall, but he isn't training to be strong overall. He's training to be strong in very specific scenarios.

Devon repped that very easily, to be able to do over 250lbs without benching once in 9 years is impressive. I bet if he trained bench hard for even 6 months, he could bench over 400lbs.
I was thinking the same thing alot of the times when you haven't worked out a muscle with a specific workout in so long its not as much a strength thing but just your muscles aren't used to the motion

95℅ of armwrestlers can't straighten their arms. It akes such a toll on the elbow they just calcify and become still. If you'll ever armwrestle you'll understand.

Honestly a collab I always wanted to see! Damn I may actually get that dumbbell drone. I've been using the dumbell attachment from rouge and it sucks because it doesn't move out of the way, making it a huge pain to use.

Devon is actually really fkin strong. All he trains normally are pull exercises cause that's all he needs pretty much. He made some crazy reps with them 40kg dumbbells maaan

It's kind of insane to think how strong he is without doing those really heavy core(bench press) exercises and if he did how much stronger he'd actually be
@@natev1956 Strength is specific. Him being a good bencher wouldn't help him become a better armwrestler. You could even argue that it could make him worse because of the time he would have to put into learning the bench would take away from his real practice.

You know Devon is going "down under" as well. Devon has for many years been a big fan of the king's move, it's just in the last year or so he has become good enough at it to just use it in a match. Despite that he got a injury from doing it last year against Dave Chaffee. It's actually a very risky move.

Keep in mind he benched his bodyweight. 240 is impressive if you're 170 lbs but not at his weight. If Eddie only benched mid 300's people would be laughing.

I never had deadlift in my 7 years of work out. infact I was so allergic but then I watched your videos and ha you made my life man I’m now doing deadlift every single day in my warmup and wow my strength is just on to next level. My overall shape is tremendously improved. Thanks man if you were not there I would’ve never gained such a strength and shape. Love you big fan of you from Afghanistan.

Had to come back to this video, because as of yesterday I got my and tried out the dumbbell drone...I'm absolutely in love with it!! So nice to not have to start in a negative press and waste the initial energy from going negative to a positive. I was able to dig out a extra 2 reps witg 175lb dumbbells because of it. I highly recommend this piece of equipment to anyone!
