    • @donnie9365 yes, I did watch the video. I said he is understanding the exercises “better”. Meaning in comparison to before when he didn’t get them at all and looked like a fish out of water. I totally agree that he was not using the pronator handle correctly however he has improved on the other handles drastically from when he trained with Derek Smith. I also think he needs to go way lighter on pronation while learning the movement because what he was doing wasn’t attacking his pronator much at all and he was still struggling to lift the weight. From what I hear he will be having Devon train with him later this month and Devon will definitely be able to help with his pronation.

      @Papaspronator@Papaspronator13 күн бұрын
    • @donnie9365 yes, I think gaining strength for a novice is done through table time and just high reps learning the form. I know my first year or 2 in the sport I didn’t get much out of weight training because its hard to mimicking the moves with weights that you feel on the table when you haven’t had a lot of table time to feel the movements. That is probably why his pronation form is so off. He doesn’t really understand how pronation is applied in a match. The issue Shaw might have is that he is addicted to being strong and wants to constantly hit PR’s and go heavier. If he isn’t careful that could ruin his progression.

      @Papaspronator@Papaspronator13 күн бұрын

    • @@zzzzzz69 I'm sorry for the harsh tone, I thought you were being satiric. Anyway, this is just my take: Developed muscle chains for pressing and pulling. You know those strongman exercises that require a boatload to move heavy ass weight? Yeah, I don't think any armwrestler have that capability. Though, they do have speciality exercises and biased strengths in certain parts of their body, Brian and his weight, and his overall goddamn musculature, plus when he starts armwrestling training to further develop his upper extremities is going to be a big mix of a heavy-hitting contender for the top of the tops. So yeah, Brian is muscled-up+bulked+loaded with roids+his *HEIGHT (do not forget about this big advantage in arm-wrestling) is going to be a formula to take down the mutant monster Levan Saginashvili. Levan is pretty much similar to Brian in a way, but he has a lot more specialty training, experience, and pretty much just those two. Brian on the other hand, just needs some serious training and well the whole world of arm-wrestling will be shattered in no time. Brian will outwit many arm wrestlers in many aspects if he decides to transition NOW. (I forgot to talk about ligament and tendon integrity, but well, yeah who knows how fortitious Brian's musculoskeletal structure will be on the table).

  • BRIAN! I never comment but I feel like I had to. You’re my favorite athlete of all time and I’m SO EXCITED that it seems like you’re seriously entering the sport of armwrestling. There’s a lot of casual observers but the true fans and arm wrestlers will welcome you in with open arms and would encourage you to take it slow. Maybe try a local competition in Denver sometime this year. Or come out to one of the Cali or Arizona tournaments. It will take years until you’re at the top tier elite world level but the journey would be so exciting to watch and we hope you decide to take the journey! And if you do, don’t listen to all the haters who get on you for losing a match, like ppl do with guys like Larry Wheels. I hate that mess, it’s all most likely coming from ppl who have never seriously armwrestled. They have no idea how long it takes to be great in this sport. You can help educate and promote and bring more ppl in, and I’m sure many W’s are also in your future!
