I just watched 2 other fights with him, everyone i saw including Errol Spence Jr had to grab him. He is a very tough & gritty fighter , expecting people to not grab is kind of unrealistic

The shoulder roll used to be strictly for flat footed fighters who didn't WANT to move. I would love if there was a bigger fan culture around boxing in the states. Look at hatton vs Mayweather. You could only hear the british fans. And they stood by their fighter after he lost. Would be amazing if the americans could do similar things, but they usually throw their fighters under the bus when they lose

And I don’t like to shit talk boxers who put in the work, but its very clear by just looking at Porter’s performance here. It’s all good he’s improved after this fight a lot.

    • Exactly. I really think if Broner wasn’t trying so hard to mimic Floyd he definitely would have had this fight. Because he has WAY better fundamentals and cleaner movement than Porter up to this point. But Porter actually had a game plan and stuck to it. Even though there was a skill gap, Porter closed it by sticking to the plan.

He relies too much on his dirty tactics to create an advantage over his opponent before letting go of his hands. But against elite fighters, those windows are hard to come by.

Maybe only Ugas and Kell Brook managed to tame Porter’s uneffective agressiveness. Broner was in control of every round untill the end. Even gave Porter his first official knockdown. People just like to hate on AB. Yes he’s a clown, but this boi can box. He tagged Porter every round with a few good shots. But commentators were biased not mentioning when Broner was landing. @jesuspernia8031@jesuspernia8031 Жыл бұрын
    • @@jesuspernia8031 I agree. AB is trying his hard to mimic Floyd than to fight his real style. And that's actually sad because AB had such tremendous potential to be an all time greats boxer. Easy, too early success makes him contented and stop from growing. Honestly, this what's happening to most boxers today. Modern day boxers had so many talents that failed to achieve their full potential because they reach success much easier than boxers before. Today, with just right connection, a boxer can fight for a world title even with just 2 fights on his resume. So, the fire usually dies before it's even get bigger. So that's why they tend to focus on making more money than honing their craft.

Shawn although short used to be a football player so he's sort of swoll for a welterweight. Making 147 is tough enough[he literally had to remove all of his clothingin the brook bout to make weight. So he dominated Broner while being weight drained. Porter isn't the best fighter in the world but he's definitely a class above adrien broner.

Broner thought he was floyd he tried to pot shit to a victory lol, Broner little ass dropped Porter with a hook he has no power. Everyone was saying it was a off balanced flash knockdown but i couldnt tell by how porter was clinching in the 12th round. And whats annoyin is porter wasnt drained he said it him self. Common Knowledge casual fans see its a catch weight and they automatically assume the man in the higher weight class is gonna be drained it's stupid. Isaw the same porter that was in the Kell Brook fighter he just looked alot better because he was in there with someone a little less skilled

    • Tbh his footwork is subpar and he's inconsistent. I've seen a few if his fights and he hasn't shown me anything above average. No hate he's just not the top tier fighter he's hyped to be.

      @TheMartinEmpire@TheMartinEmpire2 жыл бұрын
    • @@TheMartinEmpire Because he marketed himself as the next Floyd which brought his hype up. His footwork is subpar when he’s trying to mimic Floyd so hard. But when he actually boxes regularly and lets his hands go you can see the potential fighter he could have been.

    • +Kunta Kinte Broner is actually a great inside fighter, he should have smothered not clinch all the time. Keep one of his arms on the inside of his body let Porter collide with him and work him with short uppercut etc. This was a very winnable fight for Broner. I wasn't impressed with Porter at all. This was Broner fight to lose

He's always been at atop level, long before Spence ever became anyone. Only casuals were surprised about Porter, real boxing fans were surprised Spence was able to take Porter's punishment!
