Super Bowl 47 was unique for a multitude of reasons. First off it was the first time two brothers, John Harbaugh of the Ravens and Jim Harbaugh of the 49ers, were the head coaches facing each other in a Super Bowl. The game also featured a power outage with the Ravens leading 28-6 that led to a hectic 49ers comeback. Ultimately, the Ravens came away victorious with a goal line stand, which secured the second Super Bowl victory in franchise history.

I loved this Superbowl. Finally a game without the Patriots, Steelers, or Colts, finally two fresh teams that played hard, won on the road against tough opposition, and earned their place in the Superbowl.
jredbaron96 You do know those were not in the super bowl every year right?
The 2012 NFL season was the first season since 2002 when the AFC was not represented by either the Patriots, Steelers, or Colts.
jredbaron96 The Ravins had a great play-off run. The Ravin's runningback was brilliant. The Will to win.
Niners were robbed it was so obvious
The Ravens were destined, even after being sabotaged by worthless electricians. If the Ravens had lost after the power outage debacle the sports world would have been up in arms.
Coaching against your own brother in the Super Bowl is one feat that will NEVER be duplicated!
Absolutely never. It’s not a “record” technically but its an unrepeatable feat
And I hope that if it is, the younger brother will be a better sport than Jim Harbaugh.
You're setting yourself up with that one
This didn’t age too well
@@ufw9132 why not?
This was Ray Lewis’ last game but what isn’t talked about much is that it’s also Ed Reed’s last game as a Raven

Pump the brakes. Not even close. This was the time where Aaron Rodgers missed one of many opportunities to get back to the Super Bowl. Eventually the league figured out Kaepernick. Neither of the starting QBs in this SB were elite. Just because it was the game had storylines does not make it one of the greatest.
This Super Bowl stands out heavily between all the other recent Super Bowls. The teams, players, coaches and the blackout.
Such an underrated super bowl because everyone remembers it as the power outage, niners were on the verge of crazy comeback.

This game broke the continous pattern of the same teams in the Super Bowl every year, well for the AFC anyways
For both the NFC and AFC
Since superbowl XXXV there has been 6 different AFC teams in the superbowl Patriots Steelers Colts Ravens Broncos Raiders
The ravens won it in 2000, so it’s not like they were some upstart long shot that finally broke through or something
NObody, meaning no team gets there accidentally. It is extremely hard to get there. NO one of us ever heard an NFL Superbowl participant say otherwise.
The super bowl pattern is that the NFC wins at least two super bowls in three years, and the AFC wins at least three super bowls in four years.
What an underrated game, this might not be the most iconic super bowl but it was a great game itself with a lot of good stories around it.
San Francisco Almost Had a Miracle Comeback in This Game If Not For The 4th Down Play Which Was Probably Holding on Baltimore Even Though I Was Rooting For The Ravens As a Eagles Fan!
Ravens literally were so dominant the building couldn’t handle their intensity lol
Refs were atrocious so that helped em out.
Best Ravens team to ever take the field IMO. Best offense they've ever had, while still retaining a very good defense.
Kalilu Jawara bruh just need corner.
Kalilu Jawara 2000
Jake from State Farm That team was carried by their defense. The 2012 Ravens retained a very solid defense, and also had the best offense the Ravens have ever assembled: -Flacco (best Ravens QB) -1-2 punch in Rice and Bernard Pierce -Vonta Leach busting holes said RB tandem -Boldin, Smith, and Jacoby Jones as a solid deep threat, with Dennis Pitta and Ed Dickson as good TE threats. -Solid O-line. They had all of that, to go along with a less dominant, but still good enough defense. That Ravens team was prepared for any occasion, whether the game called for a defensive slugfest, or a shootout.
That defense was legendary, and that's why I give the body to 2000. They won the superbowl 38-9 or something. With Trent Dilfer as QB.
Jake from State Farm 2012 was a much more balanced team tho.

Chris Renshaw 49ers were about to eat a 50 burger and the nfl had to step in and turn off the lights to ice the ravens and save their ratings....and you cry about officiating?
@@eldiego68 ~ Definitely... Everyone knows why that blackout happened. They didn't want The Ravens to blow out the 49ers. But also, up until that game, San Francisco had never lost a Superbowl game. The NFL was trying to make sure that record wasn't broken. They figured they would help SF out. Thank goodness we had a smarter coaching staff. Plus, there was a couple of calls in the first half that should have been called against SF, which were not. The NFL has always hated Baltimore, and it hasn't changed... Tagliabue couldn't stand us, which is why he refused to give Baltimore another franchise team in the early 90's. So we had to get one for ourselves... Out of all the 2013 playoff games, beating Denver was the best. I can't stand Elway, because of how he trash talked about the city, when the *Baltimore* Colts wanted to draft him. So beating the Broncos in that playoff game was sweet...

The Refs found a way. You needn't have worried. They had their script for Lewis before it ever began. If you don't believe me just watch the held punt at the end. The announcers were following their script saying the 49ers weren't even trying to get to the punter when you clearly see a SF player getting fouled from behind as he drags a Ravens player as he tries to get to the punter. There were holds all day long, but they let Baltimore have them. Go to the 2 hr 26 minute mark. Half the SF line is getting held. Blatant fouls. But immediately afyer the play you hear the announcer say they werent ready for the play. Nonsense. Everyone who knows football knew they would take the safety. That's why they were trying so hard to stop it. Should have been fouls called, ball moved back, repeat down.
Thanks Baltimore. Thanks.

There was no team hotter coming into the Super Bowl than the Ravens. The offense was straight FIRE! To score 10 consecutive red zone TD's (8 in playoffs, 2 in Super Bowl game) is unbelievable. @@R00SKiyeah as a ravens fan I knew we would win when the rumors of ray Lewis started circulating in week6 lol
Fun fact, this is the very first Super Bowl and football game I ever watched, and that's how I started to love the NFL!! Respect to fans of any team!! #HTTR
This decision to upload super bowl by NFL is one of the best decisions for their business. I am an European who never knew someone pasionate about NFL. Now I am preparing to buy a TV/streaming package when the new season starts just to see matches. Go Buccaneers!
As a Seahawks fan from Ohio, I was in San Fran during this SB. The city was electric leading up to it, never seen anything like it. the games vs the 49ers were soo good. Best defensive battles ever. So much talent it was unbelievable (hawks #1 defense all time imo (; ) catchin these bullets anquan boldin. miss him, was a beast.
This was a great Super Bowl! It was also the first Super Bowl that I was able to stream live at the time as well!
56:10 is literally the MEANEST td to ever be scored
MEANEST💜🖤
This is the game where I learned that Joe Flacco is an elite quarterback
One of the Greatest plays I've ever seen -- ESPECIALLY from a defensive player -- Ed Reed forsaking his post and rushing the qb to force an errant throw. These Ravens were stout and stacked and disciplined, instinctive but above that-- knew what "it took" Man, what a game. Edit. 18:50
this is one of the more underrated forgotten about superbowls but it was a great game
good times...i miss "THIS" kaepernick, Suggs, Lewis, Moss, Davis, Reed...
Ravens are gonna need them like this against the pats on Monday...
Great bird of hope Hisass also isn't claiming to be oppressed while making millions of dollars.
5 years later and this comment applies now to keapernick, more than ever.
One of the best games ever
I cried so many happy tears after this one!
Oh God we're going to have another one 😅
YES WE ARE GO RAVENS FLOCK
Looks like it
NVR mind
@@fwmase lmaoooo. Go niners tho
YO MAMA BIN FARTIN yikes
One of my favorite super bowl games
Needed a Raven's victory for Ray Lewis' legacy. No call for flagrant defensive holding on Crabtree on 4th and goal at end...
It’s good to see Michael Oher get a super bowl ring
amen
Amazing
The Blackout was the Best Performance by the Ravens !!! Damn I love Baltimore
I hic)ate Baltimore....they stole our team......actually I hated mohell(sic) actually i like Baltimore have a lot of friends there and i have nice time whenever i visit.
Yooo I love these iceberg videos, wasn’t expecting one from you but I’m pleasantly surprised. Edit: just some constructive criticism; you should add some ominous or spooky music and maybe add a picture or clip of each event , before you begin talking about it. Can’t wait for the next one 👏
Both of the Ravens super bowl wins started on Wild Card Weekend
