    • yes. he abandoned the things that made that performance against cruz so great. he was patient and the power he possesses can lay anyone out. he engages in needless slugfests and that's what's cost him those losses. he has a good chin - watch his fight against font. also Munoz landed a monster hook on him and he still was semi conscious. he does not use head movement anymore, it's a big flaw to not use it since he's quite the skilled boxer. I hope he can bounce back,he's still young.

I personally just don't see the small guys as entertaining (under lightweight). Don't know why, probably has to do with the lack of power leading to less KO/TKO wins and those rounds that would have been finished higher are 10-8. The problem is even worse in women

  • The fact that Gustafsson never got the belt is so unfortunate. He took two of the greatest of all time to the limit and could’ve won against prime Jon Jones. Everyone else he faced in his prime (except Rumble) he pretty much demolished. A slick and accurate boxer with a reach advantage over almost everyone, and good enough wrestling to take down two of the best wrestlers in MMA history. Guys as skilled as he was deserve a championship at least once.

I remember TJ before the Barao fights and he was nothing special, then all of a sudden he was unbeatable and had an endless gas tank.   • Cody is my foavorite fighter and here’s why, since you all asked. Seeing that performance against Cruz shows how good Cody is and I root for him every time. I cannot speak for him nor would I assume I know what the issue is but man, the mental side of fighting is a very crucial fragile thing for some, I admire fighters with a mental fortitude that’s consistent.

    • He says "in the UFC" not in the world. And context is very important because his opponent, Calvin Kattar, said he was the best boxer in the UFC before this fight with Holloway and Holloway made him look silly with his fists alone. And to add, all that head movement from boxers would get you head kicked into oblivion in MMA, so these kinds of comparisons can easily go both ways.
