FRANK Pepe's, Modern Apizza, and Sally's Apizza in New Haven Connecticut are all 10 material imo. Only about an hour or 2 north of NYC. Quick drive up I-95
I've not seen as many reviews on this I place as I have others you've been too so nice to see somewhere different. The toppings as far as I understand are like condiments to enhance the crust and pizza is all about the crust so I understand where you're coming from.

Please do Patsy's in East Harlem(original coal-fired location since 1933)! That's my favorite pie in the city. I used to live in Harlem.
The pizza looks similar to Rubirosa. Which is also really good. I'd recommend trying some bagels and lox too, I like them open faced.
Joe and Pat's own rubirosa so that's probably why. This is the OG.

Btw, don't even waste your time with Nathan's(great dog though), hit up Papaya King for a NYC hot dog and grab a coconut champagne. Anthony Bourdain's favorite NYC hot dog spot.

£24 for a pizza though and i get u appreviate how thin it is but that means even less ingrediants never seen no £20+ for a fukin margarita pizza for that price i want lobster and truffle on it.
The problem is, now you've had REAL New York pizza, you'll always be searching for anything that tastes as good in the UK. You're spoiled now. You're ruined! Pizza will from now on just be disappointing. That's how I feel.

I never understand why crunchy and crusty is the best on pizza like ‘listen to this crunch’. Normally that would mean a dry pizza and you’re relying on their being enough tomato sauce and cheese to compensate for it.
the cheese and sauce works perfectly with it. Of course, that's only my preference!
