GRDLOC: The Unstoppable Monster Jeep CJ

We wanted to push the boundaries of what a Jeep could be while still qualifying as a Jeep. We ended up with GRDLOC. This CJ7 has been given a new life with 46" tires, 3.0 internal bypass shocks, and a factory supercharged V8.
Builder Nic Ashby takes you through all the upgrades we made in this video and shows you some of the craziest obstacles he's taken on so far. We're looking to push this Jeep to it's breaking point, stay tuned.

  • Amazing jeep, love the supercharged caddy motor. At 4:48 looks like the bolt is coming out of the upper link on front end. Please check on that :)

  • the rear diff is insane, big. Some cars hve 2 calipers per corner but your brakes seem great enough.

  • All the rigs i have built. The question of when does it stop being a jeep has came up many times. I guess when the body comes off and you tube it to a rock buggie. Or when DMV tells me it's no longer a jeep. Take your pick. Remember. Beauty is in the eye of the creator.

    • On the Baja claws we ran 10 lbs any less you would pop a bead at flex, on the pro xs it’s a little softer but we now have double beadlocks so we run 6-8 lbs and they still look like they have 20-25lbs

  • Great video, great content, my favourite jeep on the regular internet. If you want to make some really interesting content while you have an amazing experience you should talk to the snow wheelers club in Kelowna, British Columbia. Joel or Devon Villeneuve or Kelly Madore, they are all on fb. I think grdlck would do well in the snow. You might wish you had rear steer, but you’ll have a wheeling experience you’ll never forget. Again, fabulous build. Great video.
