i think in some ways higher limits and annual inspections for cars would help empower people.
In my part of the U.S., there're traffic signs informing drivers the left lane is for passing only, but I still get stuck behind them all the time.

@@paveantelic7876 You have to remember that racing cars are not designed for outright top speed.. handling is a massive part of their design as well, and as handling is (often) down to downforce, that introduces drag which hampers top speed. That and typically they are also geared more for acceleration as again, you'll rarely ever hit top speed on a track, but being fast at pulling away from a corner is more important! And if you choose acceleration over gearing, again, you sacrifice top speed :)
It's just sad the direction Bmw is going in. This car is so timeless and beautiful. They need to get back to this.

I got kind of addicted to them...you know. I'am an E46 touring owner, that is how I found your videos, but every other project you did was a BIG bonus added to the Cologne series. Like the way you talk and how you make jokes, and you are doing everything in such a professional way! I can understand every single "seems to be unnecessary but I do it" service you make, and that special feeling what it gives! It could be felt even through youtube while I was watching your videos. I've done this for a couple of years in a much smaller scale on my own, but the fact that you spend a lot of energy and time to do it professionally and even share it with people is something that is really appreciated by many of us. @@user-kp4dg2mu5h One of the coilpacks burnt sending the DME down with it. So that was fun. Luckily a company in Germany could fix the dme for € 400,00 instead of the solution BMW offered € 4.000,00 for a new DME. I think I’ve spent over € 3.000,00 fixing stuff, a lot of cosmetics too. It adds up quickly…

As a Estoril Blue M5 owner here in the UK this was a great video buddy, definitely makes me feel like mine needs a good refresh on 175k miles. If you ever wanted more E39 content mine is always available and would happily start spending more money on it!

Frankfurt is very weather-weird place, Two weeks ago, was there. Shiny weather about 16 degrees and then, from nowhere comes such a massive hailstorm. Glad I miss it without any damages on my car.
Snow won't make your car rust , it's the salt that's used in most places against the Snow/ice is the killer. Some places do use sand, not sure if it's mixed with salt or not though. Here they have this liquid stuff they spray down before the snow even starts in some places, highways is where they use them mostly. But they still use salt also.

I have a 2001 E39 530i. These cars really make you fall in love with how well they are built. At the age of my car its still really hard to feel any bumps while you are driving it. Your car has that nice quiet growl when you are driving and still shifts so smooth! Amazing that it can still reach the top speed. Boy do I miss my days being stationed in Bamberg and driving on the Autobahn!

I got goosebumps when you reached 300 km/h specially for a special car like the E39 M5. I hope you bring another one of these on the channel.
The E39 is my favorite M5, sadly some years ago I had an injury making me unable to drive a clutch so I've had to adjust to loving automatics, but the E39 is for me the pinnacle of M5's and I'll always consider it one of the best cars ever made! Great video!

What a beautiful car dude. My first BMW was a e39 528i. Together with my brother who is a mechanic we rebuild the engine and did some great upgrades. Same here in Canada. 140 km/h on the so called "highway" will get you a nice fat ticket from the police. 150 will get your car impounded. Then again, cars are often shitty here with only one safety certification at time of purchase (which can be faked).

Awesome car. Although I've driven on the Autobahn near Frankfurt I can only imagine the rush you got from that test drive. I had an E39 in Australia, a mere 528 - same color but beige interior - and, of all the cars I've owned (including an E46 330i), that E39 is still my all time favourite. Your M5 makes me very, very envious. I really enjoy your videos.

Whilst I'm not a BMW fan I love watching the videos very informative and love the sense of humour
Here is a random guy servicing some random internal combustion engine motor vehicles (which will soon be past century relics)...yet, every single minute of every single of the videos is thoroughly enjoyable. The way I see it, if you don't have an autobahn, it seems hardly justifiable to restore such masterpieces because you will never be able to do what these beauties are designed to do, which is to go at 300 km/h! Love your passion, by the way. I am staying on as a subscriber.
