Speaking of James Woods…I sat down at a blackjack table in Vegas (the old Hilton and Elvis hangout) many years ago and Woods was playing 3rd base. I didn’t say anything to him but once he was noticed by another player he got up and left the table. Just thought I’d throw that in there for ol Vernal, Ut.
Seems a very smooth trip… that automation is SUPER!
Man the TBM is awesome. Binge watching this channel lately.
Absolutely love it! This is as close as I will ever get so this content is great! Thanks for putting the work in on it and sharing.
Hi Marcin, all I can say is, "Wow!" your videos are awesome. I am a huge fan of the TBM and I love how with your 4K footage I can clearly read all the gauges, see which modes are annunciated etc. It's great to see how you operate it in details and the cockpit POV is just perfect for that. The exterior footage is also absolutely gorgeous. Suggestion: I love long form videos too where we can see the whole trip: the scenery is so beautiful to check out. So maybe you can try this, with a few indexes (startup, takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, landing) for those who want to skip the cruise. You don't have to keep talking all the time 🙂. Your paint scheme rocks! I hope you keep 'em coming for a long time. Blue skies!
Great video, again. Nice to see how it's done with the best turbine airplanes available.
Very cool, thanks for the detailed start up 😊
Just found this channel. Great job and beautiful plane! Subscribed!
Lets have some fun today means canceling IFR and turning your transponder off and checking your altimeter still works by sciming the water.!
Thanks for the videos. A couple of my favorite pilots stopped posting videos. So, it's nice to find another pilot to watch.
Thanks for watching!
Great content, keep em coming
Brilliant video, thank you.
Really enjoyed your more technical/procedural comments on this one!
beautiful landing
Like your videos keep it up one of the best out there.
Thanks the effort is appreciated!
New subscriber here :) It was cool to hear the Classic 8 helicopter on the comms, they do alot of medevac flights for the area and transport to the hospitals in SLC :)
Świetne wideo. Dzięki
Great video as usual! Quick question, is the TBM960 yoke pulled forward by elevator weight? Also are yoke and rudders affected by prop wash? trying to properly setup my FFB yoke for the TBM930 in MSFS. Thanks for your help.
Thanks for another great video, absolutely loved it. Sure is nice to be able to get your IFR in the air, unlike the issue you had getting out of Thermal. When you did your training or the check ride in your 960, did you ever activate the HomeSafe feature?
Not part of training. HomeSafe is only covered in terms of what it does and its limits. We do not activate it.
Your go pro vid quality is great. Which ones do you have and would you recommend? I have read both pro and con about them. Love the videos.
I use Hero 12's at 4K/30 fps. Seems to do well! I tried a 360/Max and would not recommend.
Thanks for the quick reply. Quality is excellent.@@mkleczynski
Really like your channel Did I hear Steveo ?
Sounds like him at 10:00
Not sure he'd be on frequency on the west coast! That said, have watched a lot of his videos.
😀😀👍 The best Turboprop, money can buy. What was your longest flight so far ?
San Jose to Chicago. Almost 6 hours in long range cruise.
Bravo ! 👏 We did 5:30 from Switzerland to South of Spain wirth average 35 kts Headwind. We have the Privacy Compartment installed…😀
Great video. What was the route from your flight plan on this one?
This one was simple with just one fix (DTA)
@@mkleczynski Thank you. I love those simple routes.
How do you get the engine noise and the coms....do different audio recording and mix in the editing software?
One GoPro is connected to the headset jack, so that's what feeds my ATC audio and my voice. The other two are picking up using their own microphones. The wing camera audio I throw away completely while the cockpit view camera audio I reduce in volume and use as the engine noise and other noise.
Thanks!@@mkleczynski
Nice video as always. Curious what you flew before the TBM 960?
Cirrus SR22T, which is a turbo. Got up to 25,000 feet which is awesome.
@@mkleczynski wow, with an oxygen mask? They're not pressurized right?
Exactly. A full face one above 18,000.
Your panel cover is still bouncing up and down. Out of curiosity, have you ever had flights where you had to keep the inertial separator closed the whole time? And if so, how much does this affect the flight time? Thx for sharing your flights again.
Yeah, still vibrating although less than before they tweaked it. I don't think I've ever done a full flight with separator on. When on at cruise, it can take away 1/3 of the speed, e.g. 330 knots TAS becomes 240 pretty fast.
How come your N number is not in the database? Just curious?
Sorry, last question: What kind of system the TBM960/930 uses, cables, hydraulics or FBW? My guess would be cables with pulleys. Thank you.
Yup, it's cables.
Thanks for your answer! So does that mean yes to the below questions?@@mkleczynski Thanks
Change title to: "From Start-Up to Wheels Up" Bettet ring to it.
Don't like running checklist as you enter runway. Callsign with all coms
If I was in the market for an EMS mission aircraft I would consider quick rollout as a plus. For the everyday Joe pilot nothing good ever comes in hurry up.
Zero rush here. Full checklist and comfortable. Runway was just close!
Definitely not being critical, just a reminder safety statement. Great videos, great plane. Thank you for your dedication and willingness to share your valuable knowledge. 🙏
Appreciate it! Agree that fast is not always good.
