Logitech webcam comparison and review: C922 vs. StreamCam vs. BRIO 4K
In this episode, I compare the most popular and current Logitech webcams; the Logitech C922x selling for about $80 right now on Amazon, the Logitech StreamCam selling for about $150, and finally the Logitech BRIO, which goes for about $167.
I'll show you what the default camera settings look like out-of-the-box, then do a bit of image tuning using the Logitech Capture app, then compare what each looks like and sounds like with the corrections, and finally compare them to my Sony A7 mirrorless camera.

Sir, you just have cleared all my doubts. I'm going for the StreamCam, thank you for this video!
Glad you liked it
amazing video my guy love the way you compared everything side-by-side
Thanks!
This was very helpful. When I do live streams on my channel, I need a secondary camera for close ups (3D printing stuff) and my 922 struggles to focus.
Glad you liked it!
The most excellent, compact and wholesome review ever
Glad you liked it. If you're interested, I just posted another video comparing the best 4k webcams.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for this Jeremy. It was so enlightening.
Glad it was helpful!
Yay congrats on the 1k subs 👍😀
Thanks man! Very helpful
Glad it helped!
Thanks for sharing buddy. just a little bit of correction from Track 1:22 on your video. The Logitech StreamCam is using "USB-C", not USB-A (Regular USB). Only the Brio and the C922 are using the USB-A.
Good catch, you're right, I had a C-to-A adapter on mine.
@@DeployJeremy I sold my C930e and bought a C922 Pro instead, since my C930e as I have noticed, it has the slowest focus of them all, C922 focuses faster and has a better sound.
@@FreakyChumy the C922 seems to have better internals and newer firmware than the older ones, so I believe it. The C922 with the right lighting is a solid camera
@@DeployJeremy Can't disagree on that one.
yep i was looking to check lmao. Thanks for the reassurance
Great information
Superb info
Thanks man, u helped me out
Glad to hear it! I also just looked at the Brio 500 if you're interested in it as the newest Logitech webcam: kzhead.info/sun/mJerksWdfoiPfas/bejne.html
Thanks for information
You're welcome!
I like how you optimised the C922 PRO image with your settings
Thanks. My RGB lights in the background do make it difficult to dial the colors in.
Can you provide a link to the Logitech software, can’t seem to find it.
thx for video
Hi, thank you for your video, what would be the best option currently between 150 and 250 euro? I don't have many lighting, but it is sufficient, however with the C922, in full screen the quality is bad, some noise appear. This frustrates me, i've had it for too long so I want to change to a new and recent product. If you've some advice! I would like to know it!
Sorry for the late reply. If you have low light and want the least noise (that usually means not enough light), then you'll want to get a webcam with the largest sensor possible. Right now, those are Elgato Facecam Pro, Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra, Nexigo Iris, Insta360 Link, and OBSBOT Tiny 2. The Nexigo Iris seems the most likely one to buy on sale/discount right now, but their software isn't as good as the others, and I haven't tried it myself. The next best thing with low light is software-based denoising, which you can get from a recent quality mobile phone. Then use Epoccam from Elgato for PC or continuity camera from the Mac (there are also a few Android equivalents). Phones aren't quite as easy, plug and play. Ultimately, I would say get more light. Even your C920 will look good if you invest 30 Euro into a ring light.
Very useful information! But I'd like to know what model of camera is your SONY, definitely is the best!! 🤩 And what software do you use for capture de video. Thank you so much, I really appreciate this information!! 🙏
It's a Sony A7 MkII with 50mm F1.8 lens and a Cam Link 4k capture card. I use the camera app in Windows or OBS, depending on the video.
@@DeployJeremy Thank you so much!! Have a beautiful day!!
What camera are you using please ?
hello! I am an extreme noob with streaming cameras and wanted to get into streaming, I recently purchased a Razer Kiyo but I did not know Razer Synapse 3 was not compatible with Mac unfortunately. my question is does the brio and logi stream cam work with Mac? as in I could configure the image settings via OBS or something?
All 3 of the cameras in this video work well on macOS and Logitech makes the software for it, too. www.logitech.com/en-us/software/capture.html
@@DeployJeremy 0.0 thank you so much I appreciate it!:D
Unfortunatly, there is still no M1/M2 support 😢 support.logi.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360060226873
When you did the four box which camera was the upper right corner?
I'm sorry I didn't label that scene with the camera names. Top right was the C922x, top left was Streamcam, bottom left was the Brio.
Thank you
Thanks for watching
What would be a better option for a book review Channel the Logitech streamcam or my pixel 6 Pro
StreamCam with good lighting and a little magenta color correction would be a great setup and likely a faster workflow to produce compared to using a phone.
I liked your comparison, I've using c922 for more that 100 on-line webinars, and If you have the proper lighting performs really well. But I am evaluating if the BRIO worth's it or not the upgrade?
I haven't had luck with the Brio. It's always too yellow for me, but I've seen others make it work. I would say that unless you have to have Windows Hello IR camera support, there are better options out there for the price.
can i add type c/usb 3.1 on my motherboard so i can plug logitech streamcam and use the 60fps?
Yes, USB 3.1 supports 5Gbps bandwidth, so it should happily support 60fps at 1080p for the Streamcam. It's actually recommended spec by Logitech. Be careful though sharing other peripherals on the same USB bus (like a second webcam for example), as each consumes from shared bandwidth. In my case, I have too many cameras on the same USB bus, so they compete with the Streamcam for bandwidth and it can't see 60fps and sometimes doesn't see the camera itself.
Hello! Can you tell me if brio works fine with a other cable? Will it work well with a 3-5 meter usb 3.0 cable?
Yes, I've tested longer cables and 3-5 meter is still within USB-C 3.0 spec.
@@DeployJeremy thank you!
do they stream able to stream or set into landscape ? thank you
Yes, these are all landscape mode. Did you mean portrait mode for TikTok for example?
Yes @@DeployJeremy I buy stream for twitch but its came with portrait any chance I may use with landscape ? thank you ...
@@sidakaryaproject6025 yes, you can turn it 90 degrees in its base to shoot landscape. The Streamcam is unique with that capability
Brilliant
Thank you
What’s the best for minimal focal length and good focus. I do a lot of downward video playing cards and doing work surface demos
You should be fine with any of these at 18-24 inches away top down. You wouldn't use them for macro photography, but I think with your use case, it will be fine. I'd probably set and manually focus in software vs. using autofocus though, but test it out.
@@DeployJeremy yeah I tried that on my c920 and sometimes it’s ok and sometimes it just can’t focus - almost like the focal point is messed up and I hade to lower the lens within 10” or less to compensate but then I get a really small field of view of course
Have you tried manual focus and just setting it to be static at 10"?
@@DeployJeremy yes, it only works half the time. Closest I ever have it is 10-14” from tabletop
when i stream on dark mode in term of low lights and using OBS , I still think Brio mouch more better , what do you think?
Yes, it's a great camera. I've completely changed my opinion of the Brio 4k after the recent firmware update and Logi Tune software. I'm getting an amazing image out of it now, also in low light and without the yellow-to-purple color compromises like I had before.
thanks God I had some opinion with you @@DeployJeremy bro ... Brio is better
what camera are you using?
I typically use a Sony ZV-E10 or A7 with an Elgato Camlink. Edit: looking back at this early video, I can give you more specifics. The camera then was my Sony A7 with a Sony 50mm F1.8 lens and Camlink 4k recorded via OBS at 1080p 30fps. I think (I hope at least) that my recent videos have gotten better. I still use the Shure MV7 mic over USB by the way, but rewatching this video I can tell I was way too far away from it.
What software did you use for the settings ?
For this video, I used the Logitech Camera Settings app, but that's no longer available. The current app is LogiTune and it's better, because it does everything the camera settings app did, plus resolution changes and firmware updates.
Streamcam looks smoooth
It is smooth with 60fps, just needs a bit of color tuning
The price of the streamcam has plummeted . So today in my country it was the cheapest options. I just want a webcam so i can use as a webcam. I am going to buy the Sony A6100 in a while . Otherwise i would go for the elgato which has not dropped in price and has not been on såle in my country the last year. logitech Streamcam goes for about 85 $ and the Brio for 160 $ and the elgato streamcam for 211 $. So the logitech streamcam is the best bang for the buck and it works better with a green screen than the Brio.
The Streamcam is a solid choice, it just makes everything a bit too magenta. You can adjust that out, especially if you're using OBS.
Is c922 compatible with any brand computer. I habe a dell compiter amd a samsung gaming monitor
Yes, it will work.
i have the stream cam and the image is not that clear.. its not crystal clear.. i dont know what to do
What do you have for lighting?
@@DeployJeremy i have 1 ring light and 2 other regular light of 100 watts each.. its not enough?? someone told me i need 300 watts of lighting. but even with the curtain open i still cant see clear at all
@@jennafox7990 Maybe in the tungsten days, but now you can save that energy (and heat). All of my lights are LED and probably consuming around 20 watts total. Main thing is that the light facing your face (your key light) gets enough light on you. That should eliminate graining on your face - if that is an issue. I prefer the G Hub app from Logitech, so try that, otherwise the "Logi Capture" app allows you to change the resolution of the camera. Yours should be "Full HD" and 60 frames per second. Assuming the USB connection has enough bandwidth, your camera is set to "Full HD" and the lighting is adequate, then the camera should be pretty clear, if not, the camera hardware, cable, or connection from your computer's USB connection could be faulty.
What operating system did you use?
I used Windows, both 10 and 11
Now, we need a tutorial of you with the Didgeridoo!! 😅
The Australian half of my family would love that 😀
what about sound ?
I don't recommend using the built-in microphones on any webcam I've tested, with the only exception being the Zoom Q2n in webcam mode.
When you do the four box why not text what box was what ?
That was a mistake on my side. I meant to do that.
Nice video
Glad you like it
you can see noise with the streamcam
All three have noise. They all need a lot of light.
You absolutely need editing and processing on some of your vids, (Just the audio)
Agreed. I'm using headphones now in post and my microphone was too far away in a couple
The sudden face blast was uh.... mind fuck ?
The StreamCam has a USB C connector
Correct, that was my mistake. It's indeed USB-C.
@@DeployJeremy No problem. Your video was really helpful so thank you. I have installed the relevant software and it makes the Stream camera very functional indeed. I got the camera for an insanely low price on Amazon's Gaming Week when Amazon had it at a good price but a third party seller with no seller feedback had a much better price and it was worth taking the risk.
1:25 - you mean it connects via USB-C. You're welcome.
Thank you. I probably had a C-to-A adapter on the Streamcam at the time, so it slipped my mind.
OK
Thanks
Really boring video. If someone want to understand the 4-in-1 comparing screen, he must watch long time before it. Anyway, Thanks Bro.
Thanks for your comment. I agree. I've been incorporating a lot more "here's what you're seeing and hearing now" labeling on recent content. It looks like you found the more recent Logitech comparison. One significant update I would add to that is that with the recent firmware updates and Logi Tune for the Brio 4K, I can finally tune the color now without changing my background or clothing, so I've changed my opinion of that webcam and recommend it now. See this one for more details about how: kzhead.info_pKaVVv24DI?feature=share
