“I’d rather my mate cry on my shoulder than be at his funeral next week” - What an amazing message by Paddy 🙌
It's original too.
Thank for write that ! I can’t clearly hear what he said
Pretty standard. Nothing of any real significance, obviously. So... ?
Hard facts mate.
@@danielbarnes547 🤡
Paddy saved my life with this message. I gave me the courage to open up to someone. Thanks Paddy great fight

That’s amazing! Keep strong!
God bless bud
That’s deep. Keep it UP!
Keep strong fella👊onwards and upwards from now
powerful words “I’d rather my mate cry on my shoulder than be at his funeral next week” 100% true, respect Paddy
Yeah mate like telling mokaev he can't wear the UK flag because he wasn't born here, wtf logic is that.
@@KrishnaBheemul your mom should have swallowed buddy…it sit down and play with your crayons big guy
@@KrishnaBheemul why would he be wearing the UK flag if he aint from here tho?
@@KrishnaBheemul and also thats kinda fair enough, and ur comment is completely irrelevant.
I don't think paddy was there for him to have a shoulder to cry on though, either. Just saying
I wonder how many lives Paddy saved with that incredible speech. Robert Whittaker - another man's man and a tough SOB - has spoken about his depression. The utmost respect to these guys.

I’ve had issues with mental health and I appreciate so much paddy saying things about it. The stigma is already changing but having that from a touted ufc fighter is always good to see. All respect for paddy’s skills and can’t wait to see him again soon
Stay strong my man. All the best for tomorrow and onwards.
The thing is, for all of us whove had true mental health issues, theres just as many people who claim to have had mental health issue but really didnt, which just makes things worst. One thing that bothers me a lot, being bipolar, is when people speak of depression and claim they are depressed when in reality they are just sad or in a down, which is 100% normal. Being depressed isnt really about being sad, its much much more then that, and over long periods of time or recurring. Someone depressed will never openly admit they are depressed, especially if they arent in the process of getting help. What i’m trying to say, is that this stigma will always stay until the day people stop claiming issues they do not have. The best example is ADHD. So many claim to have it, but in reality they dont. Being lazy isnt a symptom of it, or just being forgetful. I highly suggest to all to gave a conversation with a ADHD person who isnt medicated and then one that claims to be, the difference is incredible. Its very frustrating for us that made the effort to get diagnosed and deal with it, all to have people who arent actulally sick claim to be and water down the issues caused.

Same here dude let’s stick at it 💪
As a man currently fighting depression and afraid to talk about it, I appreciated that from Paddy.

I’ve had serious issues with mental health man and to hear paddy speak up about it and how nobody even gives a f*ck about it. Means a lot Man. He really is using his position in a great great great way
Yeah got emotional, especially seeing him break down cause I’ve been there yk, it’s good to hear him speak up man

I’m in Paddy’s corner now, straight up legend. Solid message for a lost mate ✊🏼

Wasn't doing so well the day this was posted. Was about to do something very stupid. Then I saw this. This is special. Not only Paddy's message, but something about the crowd roaring with him made me safe. Felt like the message was further exemplified with the thousands of people cheering in the back. Be safe out there, guys.
record that roar and carry it on your phone, stay safe.
Hang in there man ♥️
sending love from Singapore. Soldier on soldier💪🏽
Use this as your reminder! Keep up the good fight and everyday is a new day!
❤️
That was one of the best speeches that I have ever heard from an athlete…
Tyson Fury also gave a great speech about his mental health issues
Definitely
I’m not a UFC fan but I have been struggling with my mental health and heard about this, so I had to come and listen to his words. Immediately after watching this I booked a therapy session for the first time in 2 years. Thanks paddy, I’ll watch the next fight!
Stay strong my friend 💪😊
I wasn't a fan of Paddy before this but when I woke up from a slumber and seen Paddy's post fight speech I realized he is a great person and deserves more credit than I previously gave him. What a great LAD.
this guy is more intense than most scumbags in UFC
This is the right kinda guy men need right now! he capturing our eyes and our hearts. Bless Paddy the angel
Brought me to tears, thank god I’ve got good mates when my dad passed I planned exactly where and when I was going to top myself my best friend and his wife come to the house 4am to put a stop to my suicidal behaviour. All the boys rallied around and come to see me every day and finally after 6 long years I don’t have them thoughts. RIP.

Great message. I've struggled with mental health problems and have always noticed people get a bit uncomfortable when it comes up. It's strange a physical illness is treated with kindness and patience but a mental illness is treated with fear and suspicion.
And having narcissists as therapists & doctors who care far more about collecting their paychecks than actually helping their patients doesn't help much either. The Healthcare system & the way it works is totally f#!&ed.
That’s cause we all know the truth in our head….and we’re all ashamed to speak of it and we all walk around like it’s not there and we all silently agree to keep it out of our lives or speak of it
Went to therapy for the first time in 2020 and was the best thing I could do. He is 100% right, seek help please.
It just takes one good post-fight speech to get cemented in the fans' hearts. This was Paddy's
I loved Paddy for his Entertainment value. But now he just hit Legend Status with those words straight after a fight.
the pain in his eyes while advocating for men to speak up regarding their mental health says it all. paddy is a true champion of the people's hearts! 🙌
He literally saved lives with that message.. What an absolute hero!
Dude just became one my favorite fighters ever...damn what a powerful speech!
This guy helped so many people with his speech ❤️
That message hit me hard. Fair play to paddy for using his platform to share a message that men need to hear.
Never expected that watching paddy the baddy in the UFC would have me in tears after the fight! Sorry for your loss paddy
Class act mate I am going through some hard hard life changing challenges I can honestly say that a day DON'T GO BY WHERE I DON'T THINK ABOUT JUST ENDING IT MYSELF... So yeah we us men need to not be ashamed of talking up about what we have going on in our own heads....
Keep fighting brother 💪 🙏

No other words can describe this man, he is the truest and most pure form of a warrior
Great message. Too many “alphas” in this day and age, on social media in particular, dismissing any sort of mental problems, and giving this bullshit “man up” advice. Massive respect for paddy as he doesn’t need to give off any hard man persona or character to be liked and relevant❤️👌
That’s 100% my favorite part about him :)

Fun fact: The Alpha, Bheta and Omega behaviour has only been observed in imprisoned wolf packs, not in the free ones. Makes sense.
Hell of a post fight interview... He earned my respect... not just his skills, but compassion!
how can anyone not love this guy. i hope he goes all the way to the top
I was a fan before but I'm even more of a fan. Congratulations paddy and my condolences for your friend. I've had many friends of mine that have killed themselves. So this hit me right in the heart.
I had respect for Paddy before this but now it's through the roof. Outstanding message.
Pushing a massage that can’t get said enough , Paddy well said Lad your an absolute Diamond ✊👏👏
To hear someone like Paddy say those words, for me personally, was powerful.
Huge respect for Paddy speaking out like this! It's better to talk to someone rather than suffer in silence!
The emotion in his eyes got me crying... He's got a good heart and a good head on his shoulders.

Powerful that I found myself nodding me head and choking up at this. We all have issues in life and to let them build up and build up can end it all, we must talk don’t feel ashamed or daft get it of the chest and into someone’s ears. Big love to everyone ❤️

Watching this back for the umpteenth time with my eyes still welling up, such an important message and one that needed saying now more than ever in today's world. This was a *PERFECT* post fight speech.
Baddy went bezerker, wins in glorious fashion and proceeds to give a phenomenal speech without tripping on his words. Props to Jordan as well. Love his fights leading up.
Agreed. I like how after he did the "t bag" they both laughed.
Dude is living a dream that crowd is so unbeliavable ❤️
Life saving words and great leadership Paddy!
Shows the strength of the man to be able to continue to fight with all that going on, good luck with the future 👍
Stil live with PTSD every day since 97. It is hard but i will never quit. Strong message. Respect from Denmark.
Tyson and Paddy are both two fighters who mentioned depression and talking out. English fighters are the best.
Some powerful words! Speaking like a true champ, this guy's gonna go far!
A message like this on such a public forum saves lives… good on him. He won me over.
This guy is awesome
Wonderful message from Paddy. I like this dude more and more every time I see him fight and hear him speak.
It is extremely positive and assuring to see people as hard and tough as Paddy to open up and encourage everyone to get help with serious things that can affect anyone which can be solved/less intense by opening up and letting it all out 👊
I am an avid mental health awareness advocate and spoken word performer, and I love this so much. I travel the country trying to bring that awareness on stages, in classrooms, hospitals, and on my KZhead channel, so I get excited when I see other advocates. 💚
Before i watched this I didn't know what the hype around this guy was about. Now I get it. Damn, that hit close to home

Well done to Jordan also, I think he handled this whole occasion with ,Humility, Grace, and a lot of humour, especially the way he dealt with Paddys prank handshake, hope he keeps" running up that hill" to entertain us all in the future, I think he has the talent and he is just beginning, Good luck to both of these guys, they bring a lot of fun to the sport
Men pride! Be proud to be men we burden alot of stress and challenges we expect to handle it on our own and be strong we do our best but sometimes we need help through it aswell. Great words my man congrats on the W.
A real man speaks his mind.and lives his life according to his reality and is not afraid of exposing his weaknesses.i think paddy is a real man.too bad most men are more concerned with outward appearance versus inner feelings.keep it real paddy.the Paul's are obviously fake.
That was gracious of him to put that out there and his support. That message was a beautiful community service.
Well. Done. Wonderful to hear him using his platform to speak some words on that subject. Because it really is a very visible stigma in many, many communities.
Beautiful words and fair play stepping in that cage with that on your shoulders did it for Ricky there mate!
