My Son's words about the subject, But Mom she's chaaaanged, no she hasn't changed or found Jesus like she says she has, it's a rouse to make him believe she's changed. His self esteem was so depleted and he was doing drugs, for the last 6 months he's got a job, he's stopped doing the m_th crap, he's gained weight, he looks so good now, and we helped him get a car, and he was working on getting his own place. But,now I'm afraid for him, she's his first relationship he's ever been in. It's hard for him to break away, I do understand that, but she used to cheat on him, call him names, she stabbed him with a screw driver! She's been arrested for domestic violence 3 other times, besides this last time she got 6 months for. I know he's grown and can make his on choices, but I will always be worried about him, I am his Mom! Men suffering through domestic violence Need a Voice too! There needs to be domestic violence shelters for men to have a safe place to go and counseling for them too, before there's more situations like the Jodi Arias, and Travis Alexander situation! We have to help these poor men suffering because they are too ashamed to admit they're abused. Also, I get the male victim was being a bit of a shit but I was surprised with how rough the cops treated him, both in how they grabbed him in the same spot as those painful- looking marks and in giving him 2 charges. It just doesn't feel fair that she got a single battery charge whilst he got 2 obstruction charges for intervening on behalf of his abuser, which many DV victims do because of the manipulation they experience. Maybe there's no better options/actions in cases like this one but it just doesn't seem fair from an external pov
