      @LK-xf7ln@LK-xf7ln3 ай бұрын
    • @@LK-xf7ln I can't speak for all kids however, i volunteer at my church on the weekends and I've worked with autistic kids. Not always but a lot of times when they're misbehaving it's because they're overstimulated and on their way to a meltdown. So, to try to prevent this we change the scenery by going on a quiet walk in the hallways, sometimes having a conversation with them asking them how they felt, giving them earmuffs, giving them fidget toys so their bodies has a way to be stimulated so their minds can focus on the tasks asked of them,taking them to another room to try to figure out the problem and not disturb the rest of the kids.etc The biggest thing is trying to figure out how they communicate because it's not the same as neurotypical kids which takes a lot of compassion and patience but is so worth the reward. Once you figure out how they communicate then you figure out how to discipline them because discipline isn't supposed to be abusing or taking your frustration out on a kid that isn't listening to you. Discipline is supposed to teach them things like there's consequences for your actions and that when you don't listen to instructions you can get hurt. But, overstimulating them when you know specific sensory things bother them, physically hurting them, insulting them because you're frustrated and think they don't understand.etc None of those are the way to go. Long story short, spend time with them and you'll learn what does and doesn't work.

  • That second case hit too close to home. I was a victim in a daycare like that, and no one ever did anything. I never told anyone because I thought I would get in trouble. Cannot thank that employee enough for alerting police, child abuse like that deserves life. Things like this rarely get reported and that’s so scary. I hope that kid is doing okay.

  • That lawyer of Brittany is off her rocker! Talk about victim blaming! Ummmm, last I heard a teenager is still a minor and he was barely a teen! It is disgusting when an adult will exploit a child for their own gratification. Not thinking of the harm they are doing to that child! So selfish! Hope she does every bit of the 44 years! As far as that lawyer, hope she doesn't have kids!

  • Hold it! 19 is not old enough to have gotten the proper schooling and certifications to be a substitute teacher. That school let person without experience, probably no background check, and definitely no finger print clearance card (required in the usa for any job working with children). Those school districts better have gotten in big trouble. And yes I know in some states there are no rules about how qualified a substitute needs to be, but that doesn’t excuse the schools from being negligent about who they’re allowing in their schools. Most school districts (no matter the state laws) require a substitute to have a at least a two year degree and part of those degrees is supervised teaching experience. This guy was not old enough to have gotten any experience before substituting at 8 schools. There’s a high probability substituting was his first ever job. Yes, I know there’s a possibility they wouldn’t have found anything in a background check and still might have happened, but requiring any type of supervised experience could also have gotten him caught sooner. Even if it’s just a teacher that’s supervising noting something odd about his interactions with children. There’s also high probability that if he had to get a degree in the first place, he wouldn’t have. I can’t believe some people. Negligent schools and awful teachers are what I hate the most. (Also I was a teacher for years and still keep up my certifications and clearance. I do know what I’m talking about)

    • A two year degree? I didn't even know there was such a thing. The shortest term for a degree here (Scotland) is 3 years and another 1 for a teaching diploma. A teaching degree takes 4.

  • 1:45 - "He had engaged in sexual relations with (her)." You know, even when the woman is absolutely guilty you HAVE to use passive, victim-blaming language saying that he was a participant instead of a victim. The correct language is: "He described how she molested him."
