    • Sonny deserves cool Asian points. Bc he'll be eating stuff I won't even eat. Not to be awkward or anything but sometimes I wish my southern born & raised country Caucasian hubby was more like him. Hes way less willing to try new things, stick w/ what he knows, & gets me fatter more quickly w/ the things my body is apparently not as used to. Meat is good and everything but I think I'm gonna start cutting back. I was never big on pork anyways & I swear 95% of the time when he's cooking meats, it's always pork. Which I heard is the hardest to digest. Gonna start making my own ish which requires less energy 👍. Other than shredding & mooshing papaya... Went to the Asian store today & found some things they don't usually have & them some. Found roasted rice, fish sauce, papaya, rice cakes, chilli flakes,, fermented fish sauce, Laotian sausage. Then some eggplant, eggs, green apples,,,, & let me tell ya my ideas r unlimited. I swear, it's the little things that make me happy. I can eat on little money's worth, fill up on the food I miss, & not even hafta share. Just got a plate of idk what u call it. But rice wrapped pieces of meat, black mushrooms, cilantro, onions,,, w/ a Chilli dipping sauce type thing & just by the looks he was not impressed. 😋 more for meeee🤗. Now only if I could get him to be more mindful of not losing my specifically Asian type cooking wares 😑😤

  • That is a fair price for spiny lobster where they exist around Florida and the islands. It's normally about $38 a pound raw right now. In Australia they have a few species and they call those "ornate crays" - short for crayfish. You will notice they don't have large front claws like the Maine lobster (I live in Maine!). I also catch the squid on the coast here and they look just like those (here they are longfin squid), but watching them be eaten raw was a bit too much for me; it wasn't really off-putting but I have a hard time seeing any animals die (even for food). Still a great video!

  • Hmm, i didn't see the live squid while in Thailand. I was there two times. I loved the food there and I really could not believe how clean it was compared to other southeast Asian countries. My wife is from Malaysia, which also has some great food, but some of the restaurants scare me to death, lol.

  • Hey Sonny! I have a question if you don't mind, honestly can you tell us which county's meat you liked most or you find most delicious? No problem if you count few countries))

  • Haha!!! The first meal is actually what I had for dinner tonight :) haha!!! Yeah, that's a cheap cut of meat, and that's why I buy it. Braise it for an hour or so, and then it's tasty and melts in your mouth... love it!! (and yes, I'm Laotian) haha, and the shrimp heads, yep I eat that as well, and they did a good job by cutting the barbs from the shrimp heads.

  • I would love to see you visit my home island of Prince Edward Island, Canada. We make our own LEGAL moonshine there. No joke, it's in our liquor stores, and it's amazing! The potatoes grown there are famous, blueberries are just sweeter. Great place to go for some good booze and even better food.
