Continental had a couple air cooled 9 cylinder gas radials. Caterpillar had a air cooled 9 cylinder diesel radial they put in a few but i don't think they seen any service. GM had a dual bank, dual crank 12 cylinder diesel. Chrysler made a single crank, 5 bank 30 cylinder gas engine. And Ford had the all aluminum, 1,100 cubic inch, DOHC gas V8. The V8 variant was supposedly the best performer. I read about it a while back. I was trying to learn more about the Ford and that's when i found out about the others.
