What is this a mini fire extinguisher competition??? The most powerful engines, yet the smallest extinguishters
Most of these engines are alcohol fueled so really just water alone is enough to dilute the alcohol. Also the aresol can extinguisher works my suppressing the oxygen levels thus killing the fire
In some of the clips there were people in fire-protective gear carrying much larger extinguishers. However, someone with a tiny extinguisher will be able to run over there much faster and spray it where needed more easily. The better protected & better equipped people were needed to put out the more stubborn fires, but the small extinguishers usually seemed to do the job.

Most of these run on alcohol which is diluted by water? A great many of these vehicles are powered by jet fuel, kerosene, Diesel and gasoline. All of the vehicles have petroleum-based lubricants, many plastic and foam components of course the obvious rubber tires. There should be at least one trained firefighter in a fire suit with real fire extinguishers. My suggestion would be 10 lb ABC dry chemical and two and a half gallon AFFF water extinguishers at each side of the track at the Midway point

Heh. If I've learned one thing from these videos, it's "hope your rig doesn't catch fire", cuz the safety crews are slow as winter molasses and those itty-bitty extinguishers are not effective if the whole engine goes up!
Rather have the safety crew than actual Foundation savers....

Those safety crews, two words that don't belong together must have been in training or they wasted all their equipment budget on Budweiser and hats.
It’s always amazed me how those mini-mods jump around so much! It seems like the two enormous testicles it takes to strap into one would really keep it weighted down.

Saw a tire explode knocked the driver out cold and missed everyone in the stands still flew to the other end of the track. They don't allow mini rod's around here anymore but I liked them.

And yet, those baby fire extinguishers often seemed to do the job just fine.
The announcer on that first had me 💀😂 “Got a little leak on the bottom there”, and by a “little” leak, he meant any and all fluids, and the entire bottom half of the engine. Oh, and it’s all on fire 🔥😑

I remember seeing some of these stuff on Eurosport when i was a kid in the 90s, then I find a video of it on KZhead, nostalgia hits hard.
Besides top fuel boat drag racing, this seems like a close second for fun ways to go broke and get hurt. Lol.

Those silly little extinguishers are probably made by a company called FireAde. They work exceptionally well.

I don't understand why you never see anything bigger than a hand held puny little fire extinguisher at these events. There is enough oil and fuel in those engines to totally engulf a tractor and driver in a matter of seconds. If I am on fire don't piss on me dump a whole ocean on me...
Every quarter-mile race track I've been to has a fire crew that's on scene within seconds, with a full-size foam cannon if needed. If I was sitting on a chair on top of a methanol fire I would be pissed if a pair of rodeo clowns showed up with aerosol cans of water

Saw my first tractor pull competition this past weekend at a local fall fair. Didn't have anything like the races in this video happen but it was still pretty cool to watch. It ran from noon to 7pm and I saw "run what your brung" trucks, tractors, modified trucks, super modified trucks, and more. Lots of diesel burning, dust churning and fans cheering.
I saw my first tractor pull over 50 years ago...huge change in equipment and power when sometimes stock tractors were employed.
I liked where he smashes into the floating camera at 7:33, LOL
I am surprised to see some competitors not even wearing a crash helmet, let alone a fire resistant race suit.
Depends on class if its required.

As former Pro Stock drag racer, I'm no stranger to front wheels in the air so I gotta ask... Why do so many of these drivers insist on cranking their wheels either left or right (perfect example at 6:06) as soon as they come up? It's pretty much a one way ticket to a wreck.
On dirt when that front wheel comes down it keeps u on track vs breaking you lose distance .
Imagine having some firefighting equipment on scene to combat fires.
There's just nuthin' like the sound of a motor meetin' its maker.

Apparently from their personal extinguishers by the tiny shots. And why do the rigs with 3-5 engines stacked on it always have the tiniest, weakest front axles, tires and frames they could possibly come up with?

0:36, a painted stripe or colored tape on the steering wheel to designate a straight wheel position is cheap insurance against fails like that. 6:10 too, lol. I'm probably not finished yet.

I really enjoyed this video but some competitors aren’t wearing complete safety really making it dangerous by the way the mini fire extinguishers worked, very fast and easy to use…

The first tractor was driver error ,he was turning the steering wheel to the right and flipped it over 🙄 ,all he had to do was hold the wheel straight, and it would’ve been a good run.😮

The little lawn mower tires on the front are ridiculous. A falling wheelie take them off... they should use a more substantial wheel assy and the added weight would help keep it on the ground.

So fire ex the size I gave my mom for a kitchen grease fire? A@17 minute gal drops a decent size one. Then can’t figure where to use it? If I was ever stupid enough to do this. I HOPE my drive shaft breaks fast. Hundreds, couple days max, vs months to rebuild engine, transmission, transfer case….
As a kid I remember when tractor pulls used actual tractors..like the next day they'd be out in the field cutting hay or something. Now these machines are a cross between a tractor and drag racing car.
That guy at 5:30 got a serious concussion from that one for sure! Those guy need padding on their tube.
Part of playin this game I guess, if you've never seen it before just watch another pullin season...........never know what might happen
