HOW TO // Painting Brake Calipers On My C43 AMG

In today's video I'll be showing you some tips and tricks when it comes to painting brake calipers 'at home' along with the help of Hamzah from Caliper Refurb Manchester. The original colour of my calipers on my Mercedes C43 AMG was silver/grey...subtle and understated but just not quite bold enough for my liking!
My previous CLA 45 AMG had red calipers so I thought I'd do something a bit different and go with yellow - what do you think of the result?! Personally I love them and now I can pretend I'm Bruce Wayne each morning. Ha ha.

Looks great. But why remove the tape and plastic bag before spraying the lacquer. That’s so weird considering there’s moving and sliding parts inside the calipers.

Looks good but i think burnt copper colour would have looked better and more "classy" Also if you get 4 axle stands you can raise the entire car up, remove all 4 wheels, prepare all 4 bakes and after you painted 1 brake jump up to the next and so on that way when you're back on the firstt it should be dried up. Save alot of time.

How did you get the rear callipers so smooth? I just had mine done and my rears are quite rough looking? Did you brush them or sand them down or just use a lot of coats?

the primer used, was that a direct to metal primer? or was a metal prep wipe used , but not shown? just wondering
where did you buy your amg vinyl decal? how would I know the size is the right size for my caliper?
Great video! I just painted mine. When can I wash the car again? Do I need to wait a certain amount of time before the calipers can get washed w/ a pressure washer? Is wheel cleaner safe to put on like normal or should that be avoided all together? Thanks!

Did you use duplicolor yellow for ur calipers? That the perfect yellow
Nice job. It's so easy to just take the calipers, pads, and rotors off, put just the caliper on, then spray the calipers ;-). Way less taping and masking.

Looks like he did a decent job. Not sure why DIY is a bad thing, earlier comment??? I would have probably put some cardboard on the block paving though, you could have ended up with the yellow brick road 😁
As long as the owner - aka me - is happy with the result...I see it as a good thing! Haha true
That car is all sprayed and you don’t know it !! 🤦🏻♂️😁 If you want to do it right, you have to cover all the area around.

15:20 ... you have serious brake problems dude .... that disc is done for, probably your caliper too, surprised this car even stops at all, with the pad touching 20% of the disc only ....

you spread the lacquer all over the rotor and you forgot your N95 mask
