either that or just some new item map that could help us track not only rooms but also modifiers from far away so we dont have to run so many rooms to check all our options between rooms

I will say, I don't think the Paradox is too OP. Remember, this is near the very end of the game, so you *need* a ridiculous amount of stuff at this point. Besides, with how expensive the gold costs are, and how you're limited by the reputation points, I think that, unless you specifically prepare, you won't have much to add. If this were accessible earlier in the game, then yeah, I'd agree it's OP. But at this point, it's probably a necessity in order to progress in a reasonable amount of time. Oh, and here's an idea: A permanent Vault that never goes away, that you can freely build in, i.e. every room is empty and you can customize 100%. Then, when you exit, the portal breaks and you get the crystal back- Then, you can pop the crystal in whenever you want, and it's essentially like a little pocket dimension you can build a base in! Or maybe even make a custom Vault for your friends to run? Just an idea ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I agree, makes me nervous when iskall starts talking about "i dont know if this is to op" i mean its SUPPOSED to be OP it takes alot of time spent and gold to get to that point
That crystal has to have some custom made things tho xD Imagine building your base in it and then you take it with you by mistake and you die in a vault and you lose it and thus your entire base, or imagine it is destroyed somehow by lava/cactus/despawn/void/anvil/glitch and you lose your entire base. lol funnyh but not really.
@@bowxfire5275 well then you'd probably be able to make a new one, similarly to the Divine Paradox one- Just have some kind of item you can craft and apply to a crystal to make a copy of the original.

@@cheato1163 Vault Crystals! The kind you make at the altar. And you'd apply some kind of seal to it. The vault would be personalized to the one that made the crystal, so different people can have different pocket-bases.

Would be nice if you could craft a map with the divine paradox crystal. Then it would generate a layout of the whole vault in a map format. You can then bring it in for directions. Saves people some time in MS Paint.

It's not over powered because you had to put in the work to get the reputation. ti took you running vaults up to lvl 84, hoping to find and complete an altar and grinding altar after altar. also the time limit does keep it in check because you can buy all the rooms you want, but there is only so much time you can get even with relics

I dont think the paradox is too op because you got very lucky on the rooms you got and the cascading bug also makes it look better than it should be.
I haven’t quite understood the divine paradox thing, so very much appreciate this video! I feel much more inspired to try get reputation now
I made a mega architect crystal the other day. Well mega for me at least, cause I’m still decently new to this. I had a dragon and a cove on a crystal, full completion and lots of time to do both. I then managed to get 13 wealthy catalysts onto it. It did curse the vault a lot, but I some how lucked out and managed to remove the worst of the curses with the single curse removal mote, though I still had like 6 curses on it but actually not too bad. I left that vault with so much more gold then when I made the crystal. For reference for anyone seeing this, with 13 wealthy catalysts over those two rooms, there was still a bit of space left, but not much left at all.
You should enable the minimap while in the build phase of the divine paradox so its easy to map out what rooms youve unlocked.
I'm really sick today, so I'm really not doing great, but at least I can curl up under the covers and watch my favorite youtuber! Thank you for being you Mr. Skall :) Can't wait to see what happens in this episode

Heyy Iskall. I just want to thank you for your dedication and hardwork. I dont know if you will read this comment or not but I wanted to just let you know how much impact you have on my life. During covid I lost some of closest people and at that time i didn't knew Minecraft had a such beautiful community. I just knew MC as an game. Suddenly during my grieving(which was absolutely hard) you came into my YT feed and made me introduced with Hermitcraft. Since then i have been a watching of like 80% of hermits regularly. Then in 2022 i lost my grandparents which was again devastating and you again came with vault hunters. I just want to thank you for always cheering me up when i needed it❤

Yea, cascading is quite clearly out of control on that update. The amount of coins you got in that 5x Wealthy Vault is almost the same that I get in a 18x Weathy in a 2x Dragon, 2x Cove Vault on Update 3.12.4

Paradox definitely is op when you come close to 100 rooms, you can easily fill 50+ big backpacks with gear and jewels.
Wild mobs are nasty because they spawn in the portal room. Don't take too long to load.

This is kind of unrelated to the episode but I feel like Vault Hunter should have its own table for building cristals instead of just slamming everything in an anvil? Like some sort of Altar where you can put the crystal and all the different inscription/catalysts/themes/etc. Anyway I love this series, it's been one of the most fun to watch :)
You guys should add a QoL mod that allows you to make a map of your divine paradox.
After those dragon rooms, Iskall is basically Bilbo Baggins with all that loot
I'm so glad you made this video Iskall - I got confused by the catalysts, inscriptions and divine paradox vaults so I've been ignoring them all. I'm now really excited to try everything myself and god altars finally feel worth the risk of curses now I know what the final result will be like!
I am extremely jealous of your paradox! I did my first yesterday. The only epic rooms I saw were wild west (2). The two omega rooms I saw were mushroom (which gets out scaled) and cove (which takes a long time to loot). Going to try a reset and attempt again!
Iskall! The Divine Paradox... Holy crap dude, the whole concept of building your own vault with gold is such a good idea. So much easier than building with a crystal. In my opinion you should build off that more, and make it more of the game somehow. Maybe have an interface that will build a crystal for you like that. So much more intuitive! GG
I am alittle lost in building vaults, its cool and fun, but when I saw where you can build it with gold it looks so fun. A better user friendly way to picture What your actually doing. I hope this conveys what I'm saying
seeing you do this, as someone a little more skilled than myself, does make it seem a little op, but I don't think it's crazy bad with the hammer breaking, it must be something to do with the water, because I vein mined with a hammer in dragon rooms every time I've ran one, and I certainly go through durability fast, but not break-a-tool-in-five-seconds fast. I typically break a chromatic iron hammer in 2-3 rooms

Seeing people like joe, hypno, wels and xB who has played vanilla minecraft a lot get hooked to vault hunters is such fun. They needed this change. Playing the same for so many years is definitely boring. The only problem is, when they play vanilla next... They will definitely try to unlock vain miner. 😂

Anyone else think you should not be able to put the motes on an unmodifiable crystal? it will be more of a risk if you were not able to
I had that thought too. It feels a bit strange that it says unmodifiable but you can still remove curses. Does using a mote add instability? If it doesn't, then I think it would make sense to make unmodifiable not allow curse removal too. Then you would have to remove them as you build the crystal, and you may get stuck with one curse in the end. Otherwise you just use motes and never have any curses
Idea for a unique gearpiece: The miner's helmet. Giving you +1 in vein miner
you can get +vein miner levels on leggings and chestplates currently, same as any other skill
@@elderfrost9892 exactly. And unique items are meant to have something thats usually impossible to get. So with this helmet you could potentially reach one extra level in vein miner than you could otherwise.
@@nielskeller1734 I mean getting a legendary +4 on both pieces is already extraordinarily rare. unless your supposed unique helmet is even rarer than that, it's going to feel out of place. not to mention that 13 levels of vein miner with stone of jordan is already far more blocks than you realistically need, you might as well just use a hammer. unique gear pieces might be kind of fun, but ones that simply have a single level in a skill don't feel very useful.

Man, how much more fun would vaults be if every portal room would give 4 options. The compass would always be reliable even when on the side or the back of the portal room
I have a coin hammer that I vein mine with for cove and dragon rooms and I never had to replace it. I didn't build a shitty Chromatic Iron one though. Just a melded and then fill the remaining capacity with durability.

I’m not sure if it already exists or if it’s in the works… but maybe adding a specific work station for architect vaults? It could kind of act as storage for the inscriptions and maybe have an interface that lets you sort by time, instability, and completion? You could also make this station work with catalysts and make crystal crafting easier?

I've said that the ascension that didn't really reset would be too OP, but Devine Paradox is definitely NOT! It's the end of the game, it's the satisfaction you thrive to get to that I was looking for. If you make the Devine Paradox less OP, I feel like you would need to make another powerfull thing at the end of the game that makes you fully OP. There just need to be something at the end of the game that makes you so OP, you feel like you've finished the game and gives you all the satisfaction you need.
He doesn’t want anything to be OP from what I’ve seen. If it’s OP, it gets nerfed. A large percentage of modded players play to become OP. Not to grind for no reason.

I feel like I haven’t seen a single puzzle room, or a key room, in this play through. I know he’s been excited about key pieces in the black market, and I think there was one puzzle room that he wasn’t able to complete, but I’m a little sad that we haven’t seen one of those rooms completed yet

Idea for Relics: Completing a relic gives you access to crafting a unique gearpiece associated to the set instead of the vault time!
So I've found in my own playthrough that using vein miner with a hammer 11:48 uses up a ridiculous amount of durability, as I'm sure you watched back and saw xD. Think it's the way vein miner calcs dura damage?
I'm guessing that for every block that the hammer breaks each procs vein miner so even though the base 25 or whatever blocks only take 1 dura, all the other 32+ blocks PER hammered block still take full dura to be fair you're not really meant to use VM with a hammer so it's not a huge issue

vein mining with hammer is not the problem, i vein mine with mine ALL THE TIME and i have had it since level 43, the problem is vein mining in a place that has water, for some reason i think all the water gets calculated as well for vein mine, so i think its a bug ( just to be clear NEVER vein mine with a hammer EXCEPT for if it only has coin affinity, if you vein mine with an ore hammer it will break really really fast )
Iskall, I would suggest adding in game explanation that each number means how many you've spent, rather than how many it *costs*. False got confused about that and her paradox is a bit poor as a result. Could disable extensions from fruit or relics. Even if relics die in a bit. Blessings being 2 soul shards a pop is sorta interesting too. Your luck is just too OP though double dragons.

when i started divine paradox. i didnt know what it is, so i just click random room with idona's thingy in it. and i got 2x plentiful and a mine room. been farming ore that way since . XD
I don't play Java and retain almost none of vault knowledge from these episodes. But, I love watching them! For me Hermitcraft episodes are more variable, a few are really good and most are decent (for all Hermits). These are consistently good. Of course nothing really out of the blue can happen here and the biggest hype is Etho unveiling another treasure chest but Im always smiling throughout every vod.

You thought you were lucky with a dragon, I got a mine as my second room in my divine paradox.
I feel Devine paradox could do with a bit of a rework. I think it should be available to players much earlier and incentivise the use of the paradox gem to rebuild the vault often. My idea is that as your reputation with each god grows you lower the chance of bad modifiers and raise the chance of good modifiers; for example with 0 rep with Idona you could have a chance to gain fading on a rare room or gain angry mobs on a common room, but at a high rep you could do a high chance of extra damage. Similar thing with each god but each modifier could relate to each god, shortened vs extended for Tenos. You get the idea. Also I think each cardinal direction should be dedicated to each god, so if you go south you only get Wendar rooms, it would make completing the objective a lot harder. Maybe instead of having a guaranteed artefact on completion you could have a chance to gain god rep instead, up until 10 times. Then do artifacts.
This might also help with the mapping of the vault.
You can access it fairly early. The more reputation you have to more rooms you can build. But you can enter w/ only one reputation point. Or grind out a few reputation points once you hit level 40. Jair have to hope you get a mine room so can guarantee a pog a day to craft the seal.
