NFC North just became the best division in Football for the next few years.
The rivalries are gonna be insane
NFC North is the standard now.
Lol just the North in general. The AFC North might just be as good. No team with a losing record last season. NFC North and AFC North are both exciting to watch now.
King of the North!
as a pack fan, its always better to have intense rivalries and a tough tough division to advance further deep in the playoffs. 1-packers, 2-lions, 3-bears, 4-vikings. no surprise!
Best division in football this year
Why? Because of a draft? They haven't played a down. How in the HE!! do you think that you know what the rookies are going to do?
@@dougamundson6836 they have two of the top three teams in the whole conference. And the other two have rookie QBs are walking into EXCELLENT situations on teams with weapons for days that were 2-3 wins from the playoffs last year.
@@dougamundson6836nfc north was the only division with 2 teams making it past the wildcard and everyone had a stellar draft
@@dougamundson6836lol bro you could do a pro bowl with the skill players in that division it is absolutely stacked
@@gmann2865 I am just talking about how people thought the division was so great 'because of the draft'. The draft tells you NOTHING. Players have to play.
I like the “what did you give the lions last year?” That C- lookin like an A+ now 💀
Yup, grade drafts 3 years later. Having said that, I will evaluate it when we see if hooker and Martin become players.
@@chevy4x466you don’t have to have every player hit to have and A+ draft. Over the last 3 years, Brad has hit on more players than any other GM in the league. The fact the Lions got Hooker where they did, was a steal all by itself! Had he not got hurt he would have been taken early in the 1st as when he got hurt was in the conversation for the Heisman.
@@michaelhorstman2603 he has had a lot of draft capital though
@@chevy4x466 and he’s hit on a higher % than any other GM and even with late round picks.
It was looking like an A midway through the season tbh. And I'm a Vikings fan
Man the NFC North is going to be the toughest division in football this season
Lions loaded up with stud DB’s to defend loaded NFC North offenses!
Vikings loaded up with the defense too they just only need a new Quarterback and they one hope he ain’t a bust
And you OBVIOUSLY know how good those college guys are going to do in the NFL, huh?
@@dougamundson6836kinda agree but the position that ended up a bust are QB cause they got so much pressure expectedly when getting drafted to a shitty team
@@williamknapp6521 I agree with you. But......people seem to think that their teams are going to be great because of a draft. Drafts mean NOTHING until players play.
I can see the whole division making the playoffs, Black n Blue division is going to be a force to wrecken with, these divisional games are going to be JUICY!
As a Bears fan, I can't believe how much talent we have on offense now. I never thought I would see a receiver room this loaded! Our division is going to be brutal though.
Go Bears
Having talent is one thing. Using that talent to its best is something entirely different. Good Luck!
Draft grades and picks mean jack shit until they play. When the Bears made those moves for Fields a few years ago, Bears nation was collectively c**ing all over themselves that the future was drafted.
@@porterwake3898 Pace was an idiot who gave away the farm. Poles has managed to rebuild the team with stellar trades and keep our high draft picks.
I just need us to beat the Packers. I care for nothing else right now.
Brad Holmes ain’t messing around. He’s gotten Dawgs in the first 2 picks. And the rest of the piks were solid. NFC north is getting way better.
As a lions fan, I marvel at the professionalism and consistency at which the Green Bay packers operate.
I hate admitting it...but I agree.
As a Packer fan, I Thank You! All started with the great Ron Wolf.
I’m most excited about Marshawn Lloyd!! Can’t wait to see him run for GB!!!
Having the former Vikings GM talk about the Vikings is pure gold🙏🏽 shoutout Ricky Rick
If this Packers draft is even near as good as last year’s, the Packers will not only be really good, they will also be really deep.
i know that cooper, lloyd and bullard will b very solid. morgan had a acl last year. i dont think he will contribute that much. only need one or 2 to flourish in the later rounds.
@@dodu8281he will be further removed away from his injury so that’s not a concern
if it is as good as last year we’re super bowl contenders easy especially if jordan takes that leap
That's what she said
Yall ass yall lucky kirk cousin was injured if he wouldn’t injured the packers will not make it to the playoffs and that facts
Packers definitely deserved that A! It was all about filling in needs for the team and along with the defense! They made very smart decisions! Sure night 1 was head scratching but it made all sense to get lineman to protect our QB which Morgan will definitely do just that! The defense is nasty! The Bears, Lions and Vikings have no idea what they gotta face defense wise now! 100% worth every pick
you so stupid
As a Packers fan, we didn't have a flashy/ sexy draft. But that's because we didn't have any needs where we needed a franchise-changing player like the Bears and Vikings did at QB, for example. We already have our guy. It's fine if people compared the drafts and said, "GB had the worst in the division." This was all about filling needs and, in my opinion, got some really good players to improve the defense for a smoother transition from a 3-4 to a 4-3. Cooper, Bullard, Williams and Oladapo all look like they can help the defense in specific roles but this much is clear: the defensive backfield is set and it's going to be good. That's why I give this class a solid B. BUT I hope this class' play and impact a few years from now, if not right away, reflects Ryan's A grade.
The fact that you think you think they have the answer at QB proves you don't understand what you were watching. Love is the single reason they lost to the 49ers, completely changing his play style to mimic Rodgers will show like it did prior to Thanksgiving. The book is out on him now, the nonchalant off balanced, fade away, floating the ball throwing style is going to send him & this team spiraling. Trying to play like someone you don't have the same skill level as doesn't work in the NFL, they'll find out real quick..
@@dyingbreed2101 Tell me you don't know football without actually telling me. It was a total team fourth quarter collapse. It wasn't just Love, but he was part of it. Everyone makes bad decisions no matter how good they are. Brett Favre had his share and lost playoff games in three consecutive seasons from 2002-2004 because of costly interceptions. Are you going to tell me he wasn't "the guy" despite that? Because if you do, I can't take you seriously. Second, go back and watch the second half of last season. He led the NFL in passing TDs and yards. So if you're going to prove Love isn't Rodgers and you're going to do it by dogging him, you just look foolish. I can make the point he isn't Rodgers but by suggesting he just might be as good or BETTER. Here's how: Comparing their first seasons as a starter, Love looked better and was. He had a better starting season than Rodgers did in 2008, statistically and record wise. Love got his team to the playoffs. Rodgers didn't. Love won a playoff game in dominating fashion. Rodgers didn't. Love had more TDs and less INTs. The real question is, can he sustain success? Why not? When you put up numbers like he did last year, you've arrived, my friend.
Is Love that guy though? The late season run was carried by Aaron Jones, and conveniently overlooks their early season hammering at home by the Vikes when both teams were relatively healthy. Remember how the Patriots defence often dismantled inexperienced QBs? Well the Vikes have a former Patriot DC, Brian Flores, and he has now assembled his own defence (10 new players this season), and their are 2 inexperienced QBs and a statue in the division - I wonder how that will play out?
@@robe2504 Jones only played the last 4 games of the season, besides the week 1 game where he hurt his hamstring and that's it. (3 regular and 2 playoff games). Yes, he was incredible in those games, but Love was just as incredible, if not more so. If you look at the final 12 games he played (and I'll include the two playoff games, also), he led the league in passing TDs with 26 with just 5 interceptions. He also led the league in passing yards from week 9-on, he also led in wins, too, during that time frame. He just needed a few weeks to find a groove as a new starter and his in-season turn around is nothing short of phenomenal. He landed in a great situation. GB develops QBs like no one else, has coaches that are great at coaching them (i.e. Tom Clements and Matt LaFluer) and he got to sit and learn behind Rodgers. It's hard to for me to doubt him at this point.
@@dyingbreed2101 I hope you not a lion's fan taking shots like Goff that deal.
I'm excited for this division for years to come. The division has everything to show whoever wins it is going to be a force in the playoffs. As a Vikings fan, it's gonna be fun after these guys develop.
Draft grades right after the draft is beyond stupid. Talk to to me in 3 years
For real bro. Only thing I’ll say is lions new ownership and management has drafted super well the last few years
Last year is fresh in my mind. Gibbs was taken too high. If the Lions were going to take a RB they should have stayed at 6 and drafted Robinson. The sacred draft grade chart says the positional value isn't there. And trading out of the top-10? That's never a good idea. Then what do they do with the 2nd round pick they got in that trade? They pick Sam La Porta of all players when Michael Mayer, the consensus #1 TE in the draft is available to them. Crazy right??? The only pick any of the "experts" liked was Brian Branch and the Lions simply lucked into him. Yeah, grading a draft the day after is always a great idea. I mean all the Lions did was draft four guys who all helped them get to the NFC title game. What a bunch of losers.
@@itinerantpatriot1196the lions are the best drafting team for the Campbell/Holmes era. Numbers speak for themselves
Ofc its a classic every year. I feel like the only thing you can grade is position need etc not if a player is good etc
Almost as if this just for entertainment???
I’m a Vikings fan and I’ll just wait and see if this draft was a success. Their first 2 picks were solid though.
I’m a Michigan fan and trust me McCarthy is a STUD. Don’t listen to the hate, bro is HIM
Agree. And that goes for all of the teams
You guys had a nice draft. Probably going to be last in a stacked division though. The roster isn't terrible though and they should rebound quick in the next couple years
@@bchero you funny asf if you think the Vikings go be last in the division they only need a new Quarterback and they got one and I defend is loaded we the only NFC team beat the 49ers and Justin Jefferson didn’t play that game Minnesota Vikings gonna win the division and the superbowl next season just watch
@@trey11317 fffffffffffffck no! The Vikings could barely win games last year even when Cousins did play! And McCarthy won’t be as good as Cousins in his rookie year. Both Lions and Packer have better QBs and better rosters.
NFC North Supremacy, going to be the best division in the NFL for some time it looks like.
Having Spielman on to talk about grading drafts after the shit drafts he had for years in MN is kinda discrediting to your network, ngl.
Spielman did draft some gems over the years: Hunter, Diggs, Kendricks, Jefferson…
As a lifelong NFC North fan, do you honestly think Caleb Williams has the grit and killer mentality it takes to lead a team in the black and blue division ? Idk man bro seems pretty soft
Longtime Lions fan here. Caleb Williams will be just fine. No clue why everyone thinks he’s “soft” since he’s anything but.
That's the least of my concerns. Biggest issue is his desire to scramble just like fields. Bears gonna find out real quick that they got more of the same with less experience.
You definitely don't know about him@@billybobby5247
@@jordanliles2594 you have no clue ? Seriously ? 😂
@@billybobby5247 I don't think it was a desire to scramble so much as a need to scramble, the main difference between Fields and Williams is that Fields was always looking to run as soon as he was pressured out of the pocket; Williams is always looking to throw downfield when he's pressured out of the pocket. Williams is a QB, Fields is an athlete.
It takes 2 to 3 years to determine. This is just for entertainment purposes only
That's how it always starts for the Bears, the oohs and ahhs and then they're 4-13 and dead last in the division and conference...again.
weird they were 7-10 last year lol
@@TheRichb688 It most certainly was LOL..
I hate how these pundits forget the lovie smith era. Like "3 decades" we went to the super bowl less than 3 decades ago.
I agree; I’m a Vikings fan and remember those seasons with Urlacher, Briggs, Tillman, etc … those were some awesome Defenses
Y'all got your ass beat in that Superbowl only good play from the bears was the opening kickoff 😂😂😂 I wouldn't even mention that game
Tough to think two rookie QBs will do great against two playoff teams from the previous season. Just my opinion…
Punter 4th round that's a B
And you know that because?
If we look at the year jack fox had, his value to a team is easily 3rd round if u could project that excellence for 8 years. We have it in our head that the punter is the least important player on the roster. I have seen punters lose many games with a line drive kick that gets a big return. Not an easy position to project though. Years ago the lions drafted Sam Martin , he has had a long career. But he had a couple of fourth quarter punts that ruined our season believe it or not. Great kickers do not grow on trees
Top 5 packer picks on tape look great
I am a Packers fan and I trust Gutey without a doubt. Hes proven himself time and time again. Packer know how to draft and develop. Thats what they do. All I gotta say is how can you really tell who won this draft until a couple years down the line. At the very least at the end of the season. None of these players have played a snap yet. We all know that these games arent won on paper. Lets see how they develop. Its one thing to be a great college player. A whole other can of worms in the NFL. Youre playing against grown men who been playing football full time. Not going to class and playing football. The dudes who are already in the league kinda have a head start.
Good Points !! I'll add that it's not just players that win games it's coaching too'!!!GPG
I can’t believe Dallas Turner fell to 17
Well, now that the league is going to penalize players for tackling, the teams decided that offense was priority and drafted 14 straight offensive players.
On paper it appears all the NFC North teams drafted well. Can't really grade this draft until after these guys have played a season or two.
3-5 and had postseasons
Ray Guy then Tory Taylor. TT actually was a player of the game a number of times (mostly because of Iowa's inept offense- but they won anyway with him).
Speilman would trade the 11th for 2 5ths, a 6th round and 2 7ths 😂😂
SO WHAT?
Whew Ricks handling this pretty good 👍🏽
Draft grades don’t apply for at least 2 years
Fun fact: one reason the Packers are young and good is they’ve had 35 picks the last 3 years.
These analyst's are just like modern day teachers, Everyone gets an A!
Give some LOVE to every player drafted. It's never late to evaluate them when the actual regular season starts. We all need to see how they really play on the field on regular basis each week. We try to evaluate them now which can't be accurate by any means. Every player deserves to be LOVED NOW because this is the ONLY time for some players to enjoy our love.
Bears & Vikes will need this season to gel. Look for Lions & Packers battle for division lead. Nod to Lions!
What bears got vets on offense and hungry defense Superbowl year
What be surprised if Caleb wins mvp
If the Lions play clean (no penalties and turnovers) they go back to back as division champs.
Vikings the only NFC team beat the 49ers and Justin Jefferson didn’t play in that game yall lucky Kirk cousin was injured because if he wouldn’t injured the Vikings would win the division and make it to superbowl the Vikings only need a new quarterback and they got one and they defend is loaded
@trey11317 if is a mighty big word. You know if the dog didn't stop to poop he might have caught the rabbit.
A very scary fact is that Rome tested out exactly the same way Justin Jefferson did in the combine the only difference was that Rome had a better contested catch ratio, which is 74%. They both ran a 4.4 an Rome is 2 inches taller😮
This is the year that the entire NFC North makes the playoffs?
For me, The Bears get an automatic F grade, you traded a known star for a player who you don't even know if he can compete at that level
A+ on this draft. There wasn't a bad pick in it. I'm just stoked Odunze fell to #9.
Spielman looking nervous talking about the Vikings
He ain't
He is also a brother to one of the guys in the staff for the Lions so yeah he has some roots in the NFC North
He looks like he’s morphing into Gary busse to me.
How can you grade this draft when no one has played one minute of professional football.
Thank You for saying something intelligent.
Because u and I just watched it, it’s why they do this asinine exercise
The NFC North is going to be very interesting and exciting this coming season!
You literally gave them all a's
The Packers had a typically solid draft, which can only boost them up and keep them on top of the North for yet another year. Expect the Packers to win both against the Bears with the over hyped rookie under center and the center being only marginally upgraded, which was a desperate need. The Bears have too many new faces overall and weaknesses along that ENTIRE offensive front to make any major jumps in rankings this year but many places have been solidified and upgraded for the future. My analysis for the rankings for the upcoming season are as follows: 1. Packers 2. Bears 3. Lions 4. Vikings 2 and 3 could switch places, 3 and 4 could switch places or both. Rookie QBs under center on both the Bears and Vikings could keep these franchises in low gear during that inevitable learning curve for a season or two, depending. So, it becomes battle between the Bears defensive prowess and the Packers and Lions well established QB rooms. The Packers front 4 on the defensive line seemed unbreakable and unstoppable against the Bears late in the season. Along with Jordan Love, this gives them the edge that keeps them on top in the north. And the addition of the best linebacker in the draft to bolster the front seven should pay instant dividends and keep them comfortably out front for another season.
The bears r gunna have to show me something first. The team had problems in the front office. Teams don’t win with bad front offices. GBP the gold standard of professionalism. The lions r clearly the most talented roster.
#BrandNewLions bro, you trippin if you think we losing that crown already. Wasn't a fluke homie, it's the new standard.
Packers fan. I think right now you have to favor the Packers or Lions. Bears are heavily dependent on a rookie QB and the Vikings QB situation is up in the air.
I like how he puts the lions 3rd with no reasons to why listed lol
@@robertcairns9026 Also says the Packers will be on top of the North for yet another year like the Lions didn't win the North last year then to follow that up with saying the Lions could finish last in the division this year? Clown statement from start to finish.
This is going to be the best and most competitive division in football
Sounds like everyone had a good draft. Chicago, Green Bay and Detroit. Minnesota moved down to draft a leader early, because of #kirkcounsins left. Can Minnesota make it to the #superbowl now? Expect the same from J.J. gootimes
Lets be honest. Everybody knows quarterbacks go to chicago to die. Im surprised caleb williams hasnt tried to force a trade already.
wow original thought lmfao
Lol I don't know any QB,s from USC that went to the NFL and became stars.
Wonder if bears fans can help me understand the philosophy on 3 #1 wr. Seems like 9 would have been a good trade back spot and still get a good wr. Maybe I’m the only one that questions that 🤷♂️
Keenen Allen is old as hell and only has 1 more year on his contract, while Dj Moore is awesome he is quite literally the only other WR. The next best WR on the roster is Tyler Scott. So we needed WR desperately
Not only that but now you need three number 1 cornerbacks to cover. Plus kmet in the middle? Our offense is gonna be a problem for defenses. Plus we got punt God to put our defense in a great position? 😂 it’s gonna be fun to watch
@@eman052goat3Keenan Allen’s old ass will lead their receiving room there chief.
@@MajorPaign since it’s only a one year deal for 3 wr #1 with a rookie qb. You only need 3 cb #1 for a year. Oh I guess you missed the lions draft, 3 cb #1 with an injured cb #1 coming back, so that’s 4, And then add 2 of the best nickel corners in Robert’s and BB. A great safety in kerby. The Lions could have best 2nd to compete with bears best wr room. Punt god Is fox with the lions 😂 be real. I’m guessing you bought your #13 Williams prom dress yesterday .
ah the bears were not deep-the one wr is 32 years old and if one gets hurt
The bears being a good landing spot for a rookie qb is a hot-take but okay.
its true though
If I was a rookie QB I would rather go to the Bears than the other two options of Commanders or Patriots, especially the Patriots. Drake Maye has like no weapons at all. At least with Bears you are getting a good defense and a great wide receiver room, this is coming from Lions fan too.
I hate to admit this as a Lions fan but the Bears are loaded. DJ Moore, Keenan Allan and Rome Odunze is a ridiculous WR core.
Not with that O-line.
Rick is shaded the Vikes. Bear are the best case scenerio for a rookie?!
That is Tory Taylor not just any punter. See him punt before you judge. I suppose Ray Guy #
Can’t give an a+ due to punter and project or when the team needed center, 3tech, te3 all setting at 75 and 122. Plus the punter is 27 the golden rule is never draft a kicker or punter before the 6th round and if you don’t have a 6th round you just don’t draft one. It’s just a boneheaded move and poles makes those to often. He ain’t afraid to take ridiculous swings but he loses more than he wins.
Another terrific Lions draft! #LetBradCook #DetroitVsEverybody #AllGrit
The only argument I have is that I think the division could be won by all 4 teams. Exciting division.
Except Chicago. They are still the bears
@@brianjennings1624 that’s what people said about the lions two years ago…

if james houston comes back this season and produces anywhere close to his rookie year, the Lions will have no weaknesses in their team. Barring injuries, they are going to be the NFC team to go thru if anyone wantsxa shot at going to the SB.
They said the same thing last year and it was a historically good class
I didn’t see anyone give the Lions a C. The entire NFC north had scary drafts… no one as good as Chicago though.
Why care as a Lions fan? If your a Lions fan then you already know who Brad Holmes is. Last years draft by the Lions pretty much universally got a D from the talking head experts, does anyone need a reminder of how good those players already are?
all of these analysts are just giving their opinion which is simply that. They don't know who is going to pan out or not.
Simple Lions are the top until knocked off. 2 rookie qds in the division........Go Pack Go

Bears are set up for success as long as they keep upgrading that O Line. Right now just so so and not much depth. Mission should be top 7 line by CW year three.
The Vikings did not do enough to address there D line.
Who dressed the guy in the middle ? His mom ?
The only games the teams in the NFC North are gonna lose are games against each other. They might be the best division in the NFL.
Wished the Packers moved up and grabbed Cooper Dejean, than picked a LB with their 2nd-2nd round pick. Bears shouldve grabbed a DT with the 9th pick. Are they possible gonna release Allen or Moore? Shit they could've taken Bowers??!! Picked a punter!? LOL
Dont get this mistaken. Packers still sweeping the bears and vattling the lions for first. Bears no longer finishing last though.
Bears addressed all their needs 😂😂. Then the analyst says i drafted to many punters i cut EL O EL!
I must have missed some of their picks, Who did they draft to play Tackle? Guard? Center? I was thinking for a while there that the GM in Chicago was drafting for a 7V7 league.
"There's not a better situation I can remember a rookie quarterback walking into with all the talent around him"... Uhhh, I can think of one in the same division 🤣 The Vikings!
Whoa whoa big winner amd that the reason Spielman not a Gm anymore smh
Means nothing. Re-grade in a year or two
The best exercise is to count how many guys on a roster were originally drafted by said team. The best teams always have the highest percentage.
Man i told people last season the NFC was gonna be the best divison even if Justin fields stayed
I wish Caleb Williams the best but how many QB,s from USC has had success in the NFL.
Bears have QB questions.
🤡🤡
The fact they gave the Vikings anything less than A+ Proves how ignorant they are. Two top 10 first round picks. GTFO of here with that non-sensical hate towards Minnesota teams.
Click bait…..
I'm getting tired of commentators talking about JJ McCarthy not doing anything at Michigan, LMAO! They won the National Championship, and he was their starting QB! Enough said!

Behind that O-line. All day to stand there.
Draft grades are the dumbest f***ing things. I remember a few years ago when Justin Fields, Trey Lance, and Mac Jones were A+ grades. Patrick Mahommes got a C- from a huge outlet. Give me a damn break.

If JJ sits this season.... which he should, darnald is = to cousins in this offense. I think JJ is the best QB in this draft.....

Skol vikings!!
Only way you can truly grade a draft is 3 yrs later.
Caleb Williams is now the next QB for the Bears to never throw for 4k yards while with them. LOL
Rick is the man.
Unless you want to win championships. He had us stuck with Kirk’s overpaid deal and chose to extend him when he only won us a SINGLE post season game.
Lions won the division last year. They will win it this year. And they talked about their draft for 5 seconds
Remember when the Darnold led Panthers thrashed the Lions during their 8-1 finish to the 2022 season? I wonder how he'll go with the Vikes roster this season.
🫵🤣
@@robe2504 The Viqueens are terrible
@@robe2504 Remember when the Lions beat the Chiefs in Arrowhead last year? Or does your reasoning only work for losses?
@@billkinnunen2384 I think it's more that your reasoning only works for wins. The notion that the Lions will win this year seems to conveniently forget that they were significantly outplayed by both the Packers and Bears at the end of the season. I would be wary of reading too much into their end of season wins over a greatly depleted Vikes team. I somehow don't think the Lions would scare anyone if they lost Goff and Amon Ra. In fact Goff might be the worst QB in the division by 2025, maybe sooner. The Lions had a window in 2023 where everything fell perfectly for them. It might be a bit premature to think this season will be the same.
The North is now the best division overall in the NFL. It will be down to the wire in this division with not only a division winner but a couple of the Wildcards as well.
