Unfortunately the Raiders have had a lot of misses, especially with their high picks for decades. It’s a combination of bad drafting and bad player development. A lot of the time a players success in the league depends on who drafts him. Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers might have been afterthoughts if they had been drafted by the Raiders. I’m always hopeful that the Raiders will finally turn the page, but I’ve been waiting for years.

Raiders had the Best draft class out of the AFC West. Didn't make any dumb moves, stayed and took the Best players available and filled needs. They got the biggest steal in the 1st round with Bowers. Everyone knew Alt was going to LA. Xavier was a great pick. But Bowers is a wr/te hybrid, and a blocking freak. Loves to hit. Better athlete. I give the edge to Raiders. Nix was meh. I'm obviously a Broncos fan but I'm also a realist. This is easily a A for the broncos. Getting Franklin, Estime and Abrams-Draine so late and getting the 2nd Sack Leader in College Last year Jonah Elliss in the 3rd rd is a steal I shouldn't take that dude seriously anyways, he had to be told Elliss had family ties in the NFL. Grabbing two of the top 7 offensive linemen in draft is huge for the Raiders.

these guys just hate the raiders and they're dumb at that.
Raiders shored up the O-line which will give Aiden/Gardner better pocket protection and time to throw and both are accurate passers. Raiders already have some beasts at WR with Adams and Meyers and now adding another talented TE adds up to an upgraded offense with multiple options. Defense will be top 10 as they were at the end of last year. Jack Jones is an insane talent at CB and adding Wilkins to play with Crosby and Koonce will be a nightmare for opposing O-lines. HC Pierce and DC Graham turned the Raiders defense into the best the franchise has seen in 20 years in only a half a season after McDaniels was fired. If OC Getsy gets the offense producing anywhere near the level of the defense, the Raiders are going to be a real problem for the other teams in the AFC west and should go at least 9-8 if not better with a possible playoff appearance. I think the Raiders did alright in the draft and despite not being able to pick up a 1st round QB along with some of their FA and UDFA signings and I believe they are going to be better regardless than they were last year overall.
Drew Brees was already a pro bowler by the time he went to New Orleans too so it's not like the development curve was super legendary either

And I know that the rest of the n f l hates the raiders, including the fake news. Button case nobody remembers. Worthy only caught 60% of his targets in 2021 and ONLY 51% in 2022. Tyreek Hill caught 64% of his targets in 2020 and 70% of his targets in 2021. One was in college and the other was in the NFL so maybe these guys know their job better than you think.

Worthy had 1 season in college with drop issues, and that was the year he played with a broken hand, so you kinda have to consider the circumstances. The year before and after drops werent an issue with him.

I think the Raiders added lots of talent. But no matter how much people say we are gonna run a 2TE offense there's no team with 2 TE going for 2000 yards a year, or nothing even close. The raise of one will necessary mean the demise of the other. in reps and minutes. I expect Bowers taking over and being a Pro Baller for years to come and Mayer leaving in a couple a years for more minutes and shinning somewhere else (maybe not as much as Bowers but being pretty succesful). So eventually is going to be one or the other. But this pick will be valued depending if any of the CBs taken in the first round come out to be Pro Ballers too. If that's the case we just exchange a talented TE for another more talented and miss on a hig caliber starting CB instead. It doen's really add up for me when a team has so many holes as ours, but again not mad about it cause there were no QBs left to draft if they din't have any CBs highly graded then this makes total sense. I do think Penix JR is going to be a baller though ( he has more talent in that left arm than Minshwe and AOC put together) but I wouldn't have traded up either cause the risk of that not hapenning is much higher than Bowers. I give it a B grade.

Raiders were 2nd place and got better with free agent signings. An actuall OC and got better everywhere else. The only team who got better were the chargers with a new head coach. The broncos will still be last lacking any depth and having no cap for a couple years.

Bowers was a "FREAKING" gift. 2 tight ends with the talent of this Raider team is a beautiful thing. I loved watching Higgbe and Kupp on the Rams. Bowers has 14.5 yards per catch and the guy has 10.2 yards per rush. Mayer is going to be even better this year coming into his second. And powers I think is psychotic and going to play that way. Chargers got an A- so they can't be that biased, maybe your bias is the issue. Chargers had a good draft but if you look closley at the Chiefs draft they snag 5 top 150 players that fit their team well so they reloaded for their 3peat run. Bolts might have a slightly better draft overall, picking much higher you would hope so, but they are rebuilding a whole new team after eating thie cap bets, should compete in 2025. Brooncos had a solid draft outside of the Bo Nix reach and the Raiders miss out on a QB and had a few reaches in the mid rounds. It will take 2 years to actually know this draft ranks, so it's all about coaching. We KNOW the three time Super Bowl champion Chiefs coaching staff will maximize their players. Harbs will slowly build his team and coach his type players up, Peyton has a proven track record too, but Raiders staff has to prove what they can do against a very tought division of coaches.
