#Toyota #4Runner #NewToyota
Please offer fixed pricing or limit the outrageous markups dealers are charging.
HQ really can’t do anything about that, they’ve tried different ways but it never works out
@@benson4820 Open your own Toyota dealerships like Tesla so Toyota can control pricing.
@@AlbertMoyerJr that would be a an absolute logistical nightmare, not to mention that there are laws against it in a lot of states, or at least a lot of jumping through loopholes required.
Really should just do away with dealerships and purchase MSRP right from website
Toyota dealers that sells at msrp have empty lots… it’s just supply and demand. Just don’t buy it if it’s marked up.
Stop allowing crooked toyota dealers charging crazy mark ups, I'm talking over $10K+ on some models. I just bought a Honda Pilot over the Grand Highlander because my local toyota dealers wouldn't budge lowering the markup to just $3K. I walked out and got the pilot at $500 below msrp.
Keeping the rear window is epic and it means Toyota is listening to the community
I bought a 2005 4Runner in 2005, 19 years later with 287,456 miles still runs strong, I have only change a thermostat and 2 oxygen sensors, I'm impressed with the reliability of this SUV. We love it. Needles to say I'm ready for the totally redesigned brand new 4Runner, I can't wait to drive it.
Sorry to say but I dont think you're going to get that amount of reliability out of a body on frame suv being propelled by a 2.4l turbo 4cyl.
Thats one of my concerns, I guess time will tell.
@carloschavez6208 true that!
You driving the 4.7 litre V8? My 2005 4Runner rusted out
I have the 4.0 v6, such a simple engine to work on, sparkplugs is a breeze. No rust at all in mine, is rare for California cars though.
I’ve owned two 4Runners and the best vehicles money can buy. My dog especially loves that roll down rear window. Toyota nailed this new one 🤙
I am glad to hear this is being produced in Japan.
Me too. 😮
Its actually incredible to see toyota execute perfectly with Saquoia, Tundra, Tacoma, Land Cruiser and 4Runner. No other manufacturer could have pulled this off or has pulled off so many consecutive wins. Well done Toyota.
And a perfect hybrid powertrain. Nobody has such a good platform.
I am impressed despite the engine option(s) stylistically its a nod to loyalists of the model. I have two. One is a 2015 with 406,000 miles of which are 3/4 hwy miles. The engine has required nothing more than oil, plugs and a new alternator @ 340K. Same AC compressor & exhaust system. Amazing quality & performance on both. I suspect the new models will come with a higher degree of obsolesce.
My DD is a 2001 3rd Gen with 285,000 miles. I bought it new in April 2001 and it still runs great! I proudly drive it by the new North American Headquarters in Plano, TX. I have it modified for off-roading, but still get plenty of offers for it just about everywhere I go!
Another job well done Toyota. You certainly have the off road empire
And for the regular people that don't like to hang out in the mechanic shop.
The legendary V6 that could run forever with proper care is gone forever
Ikr! Shoulda had a turbo 6
@@RockinRiosRidezSequoia
And it’s replaced with a 4 cylinder than can still run just as long 🤦♂️
Gen 5 is proven, without question. Get one while you still can. Gen 6 TrdPro has funky folding rear seats and raised battery pack that adversely affect storage space and loading. Rear passenger leg room "appears" to have also suffered, especially on egress as you can see in other videos. Looks are subjective, so to each their own. Long term reliability is an unknown.
I love it when they talk about these vehicle drops like they are doing the world a service in giving us a $50,000 vehicle at a 4.0% interest rate
Go buy another car in the budget of your choosing with straight cash then.
More like a $60,000 vehicle at a 6.9% interest rate😮
@@TougeTourGuide own my 2017 outright when my Tacoma was $34,000 0.9% interest. My point still atands
@@runDATrun6 sounds like you need a time machine, or thank the feds for raising interest rates so we can enjoy that with our inflation as well.
@@TougeTourGuide yup, I just think eventually Toyota is going to lose their base consumers by pricing them out.
Toyota, give us the option to choose the base TTV6 from the Tundra in our 4Runner. We (I speak for the 4Runner Community) do NOT want the 2.4T, or the 2.4T Hybrid as our only option!
Speak for yourself the 2.4t is the most powerful engine they have it in a 4runner it’s gonna be sick
Now the outdoorsy folks can look REALLY rugged when they roll to Starbucks.
If it had a V8 it would be sold out for the next decade.
Amen. Glad to see someone else here with a brain. I’d be fine with the turbo 4 & hybrid as long as they still offered the V6 (V8 would be sick AF). Can’t believe they have the nerve to preach “diversity.”
Dudeeeee 😂😂
@@bcjammer87That’s not Toyota’s fault. They are force to do so
@@bcjammer87You can't afford it anyway. So stop complaining like you have the cash.
Why so much hate on a engine that makes so much more power at lower rpm’s then the v8s
I love they kept the roll down rear window and sport mode auto trans
Guess all the fanboy KZheadr invitees had their hands full and weren't able to clap on cue during the reveal and needed a couple nudges.
Can you check your tire pressure in the vehicle without a subscription paid app?
Very good suv from toyota good job as always😊
When will Toyota release photos of the other trim levels, such as the TRD Off-Road?

Love ❤️ Toyota 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The intro is super cool.
I own a 23 TDR Pro Solar Octane that I love. I like what the 6 gen brings. I have seen some videos of the Pro overviews, there are some pluses and minuses for the Pro. Pluses, Powered lift gate Factory front light bar Rounded rear glass Portable JBL integrated speaker Hybrid Minuses, No manual shift 4x4 transfer case Second row seats fold up differently than gen 5 No tubular roof rack
Toyota! Take note of how many brand new 2024 Tacoma’s or already experiencing lot rot. Dealerships can’t sell because not only are they inflating them, but the Msrp Was already too high when you shipped them the trucks. Don’t repeat this with the 4Runner.
Wow been waiting for this. Now if only JR Martin would finish winds of winter id die happy. 😊
Geesh. Looks like a Dodge Durango had a baby with a Hummer. Maybe it'll grow on me. For now, I will forever love my black 2019 4R TRD Pro, the very last of the true old school 4Runners.
price on the best on road version of it?
Having trouble understanding why the Land Cruiser exists at all. The 4runner is same size, has a 3rd row option and power rear window. The LC is nearly 60k for a SR5 (actually less equipped) grade model. The GX makes sense, costs more but has a pano roof available, TTV6 and 3rd row. What advantages does the Land Cruiser have over the 4runner? And it costs more? Maybe having 5 SUVs on the same platform all the same realtive size wasn't a great idea afterall.
When will the Trailhunter model be available?? Love it!!!
It’s so beautiful 😍
With that V6 these things are the pinacle of automotive excellence and reliability
I think it looks great, hope to get one without a hassle…in a few years 😂
Is Platinum the same as Limited or are they two different vehicles. If different, can you opt out of the hybrid engine? Also, is heads up display available on both Platinum and Limited? Thank you
55k to 60k for TRD Pro. Since Landcruiser starts at 55k.
Bro, if the TRD Pro MSRP starts with the number “6” I’m 100% out of the deal LOL
This was in San Diego and I missed it?? Next time I guess haha
Gonna buy this 4Runner!!
We like the sound of that! What stands out to you about the 4Runner?
Can we have interior color options for all trim levels? Example, perhaps optional tan, brown, heck even sage green leather ? Nice work #Toyota I have a 2021 hybrid with about 40k miles and has been flawless. Continue to bring excitement and excellance!
It’s not Lexus!
does the TRD PRO have full time 4WD?
Who TF made Jim Carey the CEO of Toyota. 😂
😂😂😂
Literally thought id be the only one who mentally said this 🤣
Can’t want this I been waiting for the new change to get a this car!! 😮
Finally you fixed the cup holders!
But destroyed a great truck with turbos
@@floridabeardedwoodworkerbecause turbochargers inherently make vehicles unreliable right? Diesel semi trucks would like a word.
@@LoneWolfSpartyall these people comparing about the 4 banger turbo. Do people think these are high boost turbos? Some kind of high revving performance engine? Wake up. The old power train was reliable. Absolutely. But so unbelievably inefficient. Toyota and every other manufacturer is responding to government mandates. They don’t have a choice.
@@obsoletecd-rom this is correct. The 4 liter was rock solid, however it's fuel economy was horrendous and it was stuck with an ancient transmission, which also hindered its fuel economy as well. If people really looked at the 2.4, they'd understand that it's mechanically simple for a turbocharged engine. The only thing that's an interesting design choice is where they placed the direct injectors (which isn't a problem since you probably won't mess with those anyway).
@@LoneWolfSpartyhave fun buying turbos.
Love the new architecture, how it gives 6 inches of storage and reduces cabin space for the Sequoia. Such a step up, Toyota!
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Can not wait for arrival to dealership Delighted
I absolutely love the new interior and modern amenities. I do wish the rear air vents were relocated to the headliner or pillars so they’re not blocked when you fold the seats for dog kennels or gear.
Can the roof mounted tent be included please?? Im confident ill have to live in this thing to afford it.
I can't wait to have one!
The excitement is real! 🤩
Agreed on all the comments regarding dealership markups. Absolutely insane.
Great update to a best in class vehicle but when will the Crown Sport come to the US? The Crown Sport is the car people want. Make it the big announcement!
I currently have a 21 nightshade and I love the interior overhaul theyve done here, but im a bit torn.... im great with everything they did except these 2 gripes. 1- I really wish they added a dual pane sunroof even as an option and 2 the front of the car nose/hood is a downgrade...looks off to me but the back half looks great.
This is the general consensus I think that is formulating. Something is off with the front end. I think it looks like its nose is too long and has an underbite.
Yes, something isn't balanced on it, can't quite put my finger on it. Another thing is the door handles aren't aligned, throws the whole lines of the body off. Once you see it, can't unsee it.
Is there a 3rd row seat option for all trim levels ???
Hi, Nathan! Stay tuned for info about which grades will have an available third-row seat. You can sign up to receive updates here: toyota.com/upcoming-vehicles/4runner
Nice refresh for the 4th gen 4Runner, with a splash of dodge durango.
Well done Toyota, Very Very nice❤
Thank you! 🥰
In about 4 years that turbo 4 banger wont be "all that!"
The old 22R was all that, too bad it was slow.
Yeah right..Guess you havent had one of these slow 4Runners off road..The gearing is made for off road.Duh..Must like the using for the shopping at Nordstroms or something.lol.
Tease the upcoming RAV4 already
OME are part of Australian ARB company’s awesome offering.
I have been driving Toyota's for 37 years. Absolutely the best and most reliable autos available. The new 4-Runner looks great! If I were a mechanic. I would be a Toyota mechanic. If I were a car salesperson I would sell Toyotas. I'm pro-Toyota!
Can we have this in Australia?
Panoramic sunroof only thing that missing hopefully that’s an option. It between this and a grand Cherokee as my next purchase
Awesome car 😊
Land Cruiser 250 Series Rear Bar Installation ??
Absolutely crushed it! Well done Toyota!
We appreciate your kind words! We can feel the love! 🙌❤️
The one annoying thing is the remote starter. The one we have in our Tundra is horrible. Works sometimes and doesn't most times. Can we get a dedicated remote start button and keep it simple like Jeep does (hit it twice and it starts)? The app is horrible, never was able to get it working from day one and the dealership wasn't able to figure it out. In Canada, a remote starter is a must.
We're so sorry to learn of your concerns. If you'd like to discuss further, we suggest reaching out to Toyota of Canada directly at www.toyota.ca/toyota/en/about/contact-us for further assistance.

So excited!!!! Been waiting for this reveal for over a year now!!! This 4Runner is 🔥🔥🔥
Soooo.. how do we get that polo shirt that Dave is wearing 👀👀
toyota tacoma with welded 4runner back
Only time will tell if they are reliable as the older ones
I have owned two 5th gens, but I am moving on from 4Runners, after half of my life spent behind the wheel of one. I'm no longer a teenager, or university student, and now a new successful medical professional, married with child on the way. So I am moving on to the more mature new GX 550! I had a great run with 4Runner! I hope this 6th gen brings people the same half of lifetime of adventures and amazing memories that the 5th gen did for me!😊
Maturity and being younger has nothing to do with it, you’re more than welcome to get a cushier vehicle, but as a successful medical professional myself, I prefer the 4Runner’s approach to what I need when we go camping and off-roading.
@@profshakeslock Thank you for attempting to impose your personal opinion and preference on me, but I didn't ask and I'm speaking on my own evolving life path and needs, not yours. What you prefer and why is COMPLETELY irrelevant, as is you being a medical professional. My parents bought me an FJ Cruiser when I was 16, and I still have it. Since I was 18, I have purchased and owned two 5th gen 4Runners for dedicated off-road use and harsh winter driving, both which were heavily modified to make them more capable. I am no longer a child, have no time to modify vehicles and after half of my life, I'm ready to move on from that ancient platform to something modern, more comfortable and more capable. The new and very modern GX 550 will suit MY needs, have more off-road capability with a premium 4x4 feature, a center locking differential, along with a rear locking differential, modern technology and comforts relevant for this decade, and most importantly, it will have the very premium turbocharged V6 engine used in Toyota's halo 4x4, the 300 Series Land Cruiser. You enjoy your preferences and opinions lol
@@lunamaria1048 lol, do whatever you want, just don’t say someone choice for a 4Runner is immature. Also, no need for a whole book!
Is it same with toyota fortuner india 2025
Should have the red seats frim the taco pro
So you come out with 3 SUVs in the matter of months and zero of them compete with Wrangler and Bronco with open tops. How could you not go after that market? I see this totally cannibalizing LC sales. Hopefully an open top FJ is in the works.
Because the Wrangler and Bronco fanbois will not leave their brands, and there's not a lot of other people who see value in open tops. It won't canibalize LC sales because they won't be making enough of these for 10 years.
@@christopherwarsh I think you are wrong on the Bronco and Wrangler fanboys. It is more about there are not better options. Now them not building enough could be an issue but seriously I would take the TRD 4 runner over GX550 overtrail or LC E1 at same price.
I would never consider a 4runner until they offer a front locker, 35s at a minimum, and a lower geared transfers case. The convertible would be nice but isn’t a deal breaker.
Good you kept TAN INTERIOR
Another Toyota model that is going to be overpriced. Love Toyotas but the prices are insane. Also, way too many trims per model. Looks great though. Just wish all these hybrids got way better gas mileage. I was 99% going to buy the hybrid Tacoma but hearing all the KZheadrs on their channel that focus on Toyota news saying it will only get 1-2 mpg more than the gas what’s the point. Oh well.
I will wait for Tinkerer’s Adventure review.
Does it have 13 cup holders? Thats the real selling point. My 19 Tacoma does. Too bad itll be getting traded in on one of these. Ill take a TRD Offroad trim in the Mud Bath color.
At least they still make an option for non hybrid vehicles
I've had Toyota hybrids for 10 years... wouldn't get a vehicle without it at this point.
Toyota, I think your design is beautiful! Was hoping something more in the Jeep Wrangler, Ford Bronco approach which would be more off-road centric. I've owned four 4runners since 1988. This model leans more towards the daily driver centric with good off-road capability (similar to my 08'). Interesting marketing compromise you've choosen which leaves little room in your other vehicle line-up. Lot's of cross over in your Toyota line-up. I don't like you got rid of the near flat rear deck, so I can no longer sleep there anymore when car camping. I don't like the electric rear hatch but you had no choice the soccer moms demanded it for sales. I think its pointless complexity. I had to replace it two times on my 2015 Highlander $2300 job!! Lastly, I don't like the 4 cylinder engine you've pushed on us. Should have given me an NA option. Let the customer decide what they want. People don't like being forced down a road. I have an 08' 4runner Sport with over 210K and it runs like a Swiss watch. I also have a 23 ORP with 13k miles. Do you really believe the 4 cylinder engine with turbos will be as reliable as my 2008? I've never had any engine work on my 4Runner in 17 years other than Spark Plugs. Not sure this engine will do the same.
Can you get 3rd row with the hybrid max?
No.
I wish they would make a trailhunter sequoia.
Woww luar biasa besar ukurannya
Land Cruiser 250 GR sport ??
Please for the love of GOD make it an option to have colour-matched fender flares. Those massive black fender flares ruin the whole look and I just can't get passed them. Why is that a thing now? Who decided that looks good? Go look at a 2003 4runner with unmatched fender flares and tell me that's still a good idea. Also please stop making the 4runner bigger ever generation. The 5th gen was already too big. I live in the PNW where we actually use 4x4's and the 4runner is getting to the size where it simply doesn't fit down a lot of the trails I use.
Been saying this the Toyota prefect wheel base stays the same almost but they keep getting wider and wider I don’t get it. And the big flares I just don’t know. Color matched would probably help.
Hehehe🤪
Color match is for base trims usually or the limited. The more off-road variants don’t in case you scuff them. This is has been the case for a long time. Even the Lexus Over Trail follows this unspoken rule.
Color match and add stubby mudflaps & canards Would also look good with a reverse NACA duct to assist cooling the turbo somewhere either hood or driver side fender.
Color match is base SR5 trim.
It's just a matter of time before the turbocharged four-cylinder engine gets put into the Tundra and the Sequoia
Heavy duty truck next!
Not loving the 4 cylinder but what can you do. Emissions regulations is choking all our cars.
Nonsense, they could easily put the base TTV6 (which is in compliance) from the Tundra in the 4Runner. They don't, because they want you to up to the Sequoia if you want the V6.
The 4cly makes more power and tq then the v6 and v8s and half the rpm
I love the new 2025 4runner ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
We appreciate the love! ❤️🙌
I quite like it, it's got a bit of the older styling without straying to far from it's original design . 😊

I don’t think it was explicitly stated that the gen 6 4Runner is limited to a turbo 4 banger. Too bad. Buy a Gen 5 if you still can!
300,000 MILE 4Runner is gone in 2025 R.I.P. Going to by a 2024 now.
CONSPICUOUS CONSUMPTION back to the doo dad kitchy of the mid 20th century
Where is the front locker? Where is the manual? Toyota has these components in the corporate parts bin and offers them in other markets but won't offer them to us? Why not?
In offloading the front locker is rarely necessary. This is just a repeat comment by people like you just mimicking other comments
The front locker is installed on the overseas models. Maybe it would get seasick on the trip across the Pacific. 🤔
I think the trailhunter and maybe the TRD Pro have front lockers at least thats what I've heard from auto jurnos, doesn't mean they got their info correct.
Unlike many other companies Toyota listens to their customers. Further refinements and improvements based upon enthusiast suggestions ARE coming.
That’s what ATRAC is for.
A minute of silence for those who passed away waiting for a redesign 4Runner TBH it wasn’t worth the wait!
I thought the back would be straight like the new Tacoma. They kept the same angle as the 5th gen
