missiemovic Until authorities get smart and check for GPS signatures in the area for those vehicle brands. Just a hunch, but I’m pretty sure that it’s a legitimate way to track and find those all electric cars.
Yeah, sure but the range of an e car when doing hard pulls is minuscule. partly because the high discharge batteries lack range. so if you want to scout, dodge police and whatnot you end up strangled, so you're stuck doing extremely short runs if you want to do a lot of them, having to transport the car and so on.
that said, even downsized to quadbikes and trikes, it could be pretty fun to watch.
Cjbarker2 that sounds like some FIB shit. And I think that kind of tech would be ruled unconstitutional based on how chalking tires was seen as an unreasonable search and is a breach of privacy

One night here in Baltimore; along MD-295 north approaching I-95, a plain white *Toyota Corolla* (not modified whatsover) was topping 95-100 MPH when it blew by me. I saw over the horizon a MTAuthority (not MD state trooper) 2016 Caprice sitting on the shoulder (@295 & Waterview Ave on-ramp) - lights off. That Corolla zip by him so fast & disappeared onto the I-95 North exit like a bolt of lightning, the cop literally couldn't get the cruiser into drive by the time I approach his position. That was a mere 10 seconds when I saw it all transpire over the horizon. He finally got onto the roadway flashed his lights but gave up in about 5 seconds...🤣 one of the funniest circumstances I have ever witnessed.

Reminds me of a private chill car event my car club was having including highway runs etc. Right before we were heading out from the mechanics bay that we meet at, the entire honda dojo came and crashed our meet. Like 40 civics just rolled up blocked us in (not on purpose) to join what they thought was an open meet, but they soon started trashing the mechanics bay by doing burnouts and revving all over the place until the cops came and crashed the event. The dude in our car club who owned the mechanics bay never held another event there for the rest of the year in the hopes that the Honda Dojo would forget about us. Was really annoying.

Happened to my brother back in like '01. Was in a convertible fox Mustang when he passes highway patrol. Friend in the passenger seat tells him and he decides he has enough lead to lose him. Took the wrong exit and hit the median at the end of the ramp. Triple Lindies through the intersection and the car lands upside down. DPS officer is convinced there's fatalities. Everyone crawls out nothing more than bruises.
Been there, done that, dozens of times. Had a few tickets, outran a shitload more tickets than I paid. Also took a car airborne during a chase, lost the chase, and won gun to my head and a ride in a cruiser with steel bracelets on to two different jails and then a prison. It's all fun and games until you get caught. I outgrew this shit real quick after that.
I never got caught but the last time they had us tracked down to where we were hiding out. If it weren't private property I'm sure they would've stormed in there and found us all hiding under the window. The cops around here aren't too bad (most of the time) so if you just shut it down and pull over you're much better off taking a ticket for reckless driving and getting that plea-bargained down in court. I've had 3, 6, and 12 month deferred impositions on doing stupid stuff because I was compliant with the law, got a good attorney, and was willing to pay the fines (all they really care about). That beats the pants off of 160+ on a 2 lane highway hoping a tire doesn't blow, deer doesn't run out into the road, etc.
I love these stories, especially when they are told by people where you can imagine being there.

It's always a nice feel when you do street racing or drifting without getting cought. My best was about 3 hours of drifting the same roundabout with 2 other friends and then explaining to the police that the reason why our tiers were smoking is because we lost control of the car, praying that they won't check the cameras in that area
