  • That's Piers Morgan all over, isn't it? Jay Leno tells a warm story about the memory of young men who fought in the skies and lost their lives (despite being interrupted midway through) and the first thing PM comes up with is "What's it worth?" It doesn't matter what it's worth! Have some fucking class, and listen to one of the few celebrities unafraid to be genuine and sincere when they're telling you something.

    • I’m amazed how little Piers Morgan knows about cars. “What’s that? What’s that?” Shocking. Also, his producers could have done a little research before setting him loose in the garage since all of these cars are documented in other videos. The red E-type that caught his eye is a Restomod. The white one next to it that he ignored is a beautiful original example.

About two weeks later she received a large envelope in the mail. Jay had signed a photo for her, had it put in a frame and enclosed a handwritten letter to wish my aunt all the best. She cherished that picture and the letter and it was displayed in her bedroom until the day she passed away a few years later. For someone so famous, Jay Leno is incredibly unpretentious and down to earth, and he always seems to have time and empathy for other people. Thank you Jay...you're the best.

  • Not only has Jay Leno changed made the world a better place and transformed many bad or sad days for someone coming home to a family drama or losing one's job or all of the things that plague people in our societies and turning on the TV to forget a dismal existence, not only did he get someone to break off being blue to a quiet laugh or even a hearty one, but he's saved a part of our culture that would be rusting in the fields and locked up garages across his country and others. Cars are what defined America and the world and Leno made laughing a part of everybody's day. Piers Morgan, on the other hand, has graduated from being a superior television journalist to someone bringing a humble presence to the screens we have all been weaned on. Piers has shown us that it is possible to interview someone and tolerate extremist views and volatile exchange with sincere appreciation of the other person's inner world and stark demeanor.

  • So many of Piers' questions were crass and money related. He just can't read the room because it was clear that Jay had no interest in the monetary value of his cars. That's not what collecting at this level is about. But then again, Piers IS crass.

    • I ‘m no Piers Morgan fan myself, but interviewers are not supposed to ask the questions the interviewee finds interesting, but the questions the audience wants to know. And in addition to realizing what a beautiful human being Jay Leno is, I was curious about how much the cars cost as well.

His head mechanic Bernard I knew from Los Gatos and my Jaguar and Triumph cars, which is how we (me and my mechanic buddy Dan Matthews) got to visit. Jay was very gracious and getting to chat Lamborghini Countachs with him was great. Total car guy™ 100% authentic. I'll never forget that visit. Thanks Jay! And Bernard!

Back when I wasn't dirt poor I used to have classics. 1963 Chrysler 300 Indy Pace car convertible with a 383 push button transmission on the dash,73 318ci. Dart Swinger,74 Valiant Scamp,74 Dart,69 Dart 196, 70 Dodge Colt, and a 66 dune buggy. When Jay told the story about the Rolls with the Aircraft engine. I cried. That really moved me. What a story. Thank you both so much. Please forward this message to Jay as well. God bless you and God bless America.

  • It is not good etiquette to ask a classic car collector what their cars are worth as that is not the point when you are a genuine car guy . Just saying speaking as somebody with the same illness as Jay albeit with only 1/10th of the number of cars. I thoroughly enjoyed the video and also enjoy Jay Leno Garage videos which in reality , being from the uk, is what I mainly recognise him from.

  • Can you ever see someone have a collection of EV's anywhere close to this magnificent collection of ICE cars? Each and every one of Jay's cars has a distinct personality and story to tell. Most EV's are as interesting as a tumble drier and as expensive to run, when out on the roads! This was a wonderful insight into the man that is Jay Leno, a true gentleman!
