ABOUT BROUGH SUPERIOR MOTORCYCLES
Brough Superior motorcycles hold a special place in the annals of motorcycling history. Renowned for their exceptional engineering, performance, and craftsmanship, Brough Superior bikes emerged as icons of British motorcycling during the early 20th century. Their story begins with the visionary engineer George Brough.
George Brough, son of William Brough, a successful motorcycle manufacturer, established Brough Superior in Nottingham, England, in 1919. Inspired by his father's work and driven by his passion for speed and quality, George set out to create the ultimate motorcycle. He aimed to build machines that were not just reliable and well-engineered but also offered unmatched performance and luxury.
One of the defining features of Brough Superior motorcycles was their powerful engines. The company employed engines from leading manufacturers like J.A.P., Matchless, and later their own in-house engine designs. These engines were renowned for their smoothness, reliability, and impressive power output, which propelled Brough Superior bikes to astonishing speeds for their time.
Today, Brough Superior motorcycles continue to capture the imagination of motorcycle enthusiasts, embodying the spirit of a bygone era while pushing the boundaries of performance and elegance. Their storied history and legendary status ensure that Brough Superior motorcycles will forever be celebrated as true icons of motorcycling excellence.

  • I have the utmost respect for Mr Leno's knowledge and passion. Those Broughs and Vincents rule. But I've never been aware of the Ace, it is at least as beautiful.

  • I'd encourage anyone to look up old boardtrack motorcycle racing footage on KZhead. It's amazing. Picture a huge wooden velodrome for motorcycles. So rad. Great vid guys. I'm actually not a motor bike guy, I ride, build and refurbish road bikes. These old style bikes give me inspiration for my custom builds. Current project...I'm making a Rat Rod inspired bicycle with a late 1940's CCM men's single speed.

  • Wow, Wow, Wow...Jay is legendary with his knowledge about each and every piece on his bike/car... Had goose-pimples as he mentioned that people are looking for 'HOMES' for these beauties (...and then they find Jay Leno, the Guardian (not the owner...), as he humbly mentions)...So personal and touching...A salute to you Jay...Stay Blessed...🏍🚗...AMEN.

  • All engine enthusiasts can appreciate Jay Leno's passion and dedication. He could have used his earnings on other hobbies, but restoration for beautiful machinery was his lane. So many projects that would still be in a barn, not being enjoyed, now back to life.

When I die, if I go up to Heaven I hope to leisurely go through Jays entire collection and get to drive or ride whatever I like or be driven by Jay. Thankyou Jay once again for sharing your collection. You're a legend mate.

  • Awesome vid - thanks for posting! Little connection and nostalgia: I was one of the folks who was called occasionally to do voiceovers for Jay for the Tonight Show, between about 2000 and 2006 (mainly, whenever they would need character voices). Was definitely cool when Jay would drive a different vehicle almost every day, to the studio. One time I did get to see that jet bike, which was awesome. Also got to see his Stanley Steamer steam car (as well as a number of our other awesome vehicles).
