Man starts off by cutting wood into a pile of geometric shapes, add some super glue and a bit of resin and turns a stunning bowl. Once again, thank you for sharing

Love your puzzle making approach & use of negative space for resin. Also marvel at you apparent ability to not get super glue on you. Me, I’d be walking around with wood blocks on my fingert😊

I like this bowl! This is an interesting pattern, it gives it an old world appearance. Someone else used the word "medieval" and I though "yeah, it does kinda' have that quality". ❤️👍

Another WOW! I was disappointed you cut out the resin ribbons then you started the top and wahla ( sp???). Thanks for leaving that part in! You didn’t mention the wood type but the combination with the orangeish resin was spot on. The inside of the bowl is so intriguing, I saw a blooming flower, an octopus reaching up with its tentacles 🐙 then flames. Yes, I know I’m strange😊. Morgan, your work just fills me with joy. Wish you and yours nothing but the best for 2023 🎊 🎉🥂🍾🥳 I forgot to ask, what caused the appearance of water drips along the rim of the bowl, it really gives the whimsical look you mentioned?
Enaid You are not strange on the contrary, your vision of octopus and flames are voluntary on my part when I drew this piece 😉 For the effect on the edge it is also voluntary and is created by the resin which penetrates the ash wood in end grain. Happy new year to you 💖
Très belle réalisation Morgan, même si on pas fan tel que je le suis concernant l'utilisation de la résine, on ne peut que dire bravo c'est superbe. La résine permet de réaliser de très belle pièce colorée mais aussi de combler les espaces entre les pièces de bois, ça laisse une souplesse de tolérance dans la découpe et ponçage des pièces. A la vue de toutes tes vidéos je pense que tu es assez précis dans ce genre de projet pour te passer de résine pour combler les espace vides. Bref Bravo Avec un peu d'avance meilleurs vœux pour cette année 2023

2 things that would be nice Post the different types of wood that you use And how many hours you spent on this piece
In this video I use ash, oak and movingui 😉 this kind of piece always requires a lot of hours of work not counting the drying
You can really see the difference that wearing gloves makes. You look at the condition of this guys hands compared to some other wood turners on KZhead.

Is there a way to keep the resin from soaking into the wood and looking like a stain?
Randy yes, just apply a coat of resin to the wood with a brush and then wait for it to dry before pouring the resin
What causes that bleeding around the top edge?
John It is the resin that penetrates the ash wood at the end of the grain. You can avoid this if you don't like it by applying a pore sealer or resin in the 1st layer.
