If you're excited to get the BB-1000, by Bio Bidet, but are concerned about how complicated it will be to install, stay tuned, this video will make the process simple. My name is Daniel Johnson, I'm your bidet expert and I'm the owner of manybidets.com, where over the past eight years we've sold over 10,000 bidets.
Now, before we install the Bio Bidet BB-1000 you might be asking yourself “Is the BB-1000 the bidet seat for me?”. If that's a question you're asking, check out our ultimate buyer's guide E-book, a link is in the video description. It will give you everything you could possibly want to know about bidets and help you make the perfect choice.
Now, let's jump into the install. We're going to start by turning off the water supply. Mine is a quarter turn, but yours might be required to be turned further, just turn it off until it stops twisting. Now that we've done that, if we undo this we're going to have some water coming through, so let's start by draining the tank. We're going to hold down on this flush lever until the tank's as empty as possible. We can hear water stopped running, so we're going to let up on that lever and now unscrew the line that's at the bottom of the tank. We have something down here to catch any water that drips, but we shouldn't have a lot, because we've turned off the water and we've drained the tank. All right, so we've got a little bit of water, we're letting that drip out.
Now, we need to install the T-connector. We want to make sure that this T-connector, which comes with your purchase from us, has a rubber O-ring in the top of the T, and we'll just attach it here. You don't need plumber's tape for this, in fact we recommend trying it first without plumber's tape. This just needs to be hand tightened. Make sure that you didn't lose the rubber ring on the water inlet and attach that as well. It's also important to note that the BB-1000 comes with an additional water supply hose; Don't let that confuse you, you can use the existing water supply hose. The hose that comes with the BB-1000 for the water supply, can just be ignored, so don't let that throw you for a loop. You will need to use the water supply hose that leads from the T to the bidet seat, however, so we're going to go ahead and install that now. Make sure that the rubber gasket is on that as well and connect it to the T-connector. The hose that you will be utilizing, from the Bio Bidet box, is the white hose. Now that we've got it hand tight, we're going to go ahead and give it a little additional crank with a wrench, but again we want to make sure that we're not over tightening either.
Unlike a traditional toilet seat, where you mount the entire toilet seat on the toilet in one go, a bidet seat utilizes a mounting plate. We'll want to install the mounting plate first. The nub that we see here, needs to be facing the rear and the arrows need to be pointing at the toilet tank. If we try installing this mounting plate this direction, we have it on backwards. We want to make sure it's facing the proper direction. Now, we can mount it to the toilet. To do that, we are going to use these washers. The washers are going to sit in grooves, in the mounting plate. The ridge that we see here does need to be facing up, because that's going to grip the top of the bolt heads. There's little grooves on the bottom sides that allow it to grip the mounting plate. Grooves up, and then the bolt goes through those washers....

    • I'm very sorry, but I'm not aware of anywhere in the UK that you could get it repaired. I'd recommend reaching out to Bio Bidet directly for that. They can be reached at support@biobidet.com. They do not currently have a phone number customers can call... :-/

  • Does the BB 1000 have to be plugged in to an electrical outlet? I don't have one in my water closet. Also does this model require a certain size toilet? I already have the hygiene appliance still in the box. Thank you.

    @arizcangel@arizcangel Жыл бұрын
    • It does require an electrical outlet. You'll need to check if your bidet seat is elongated or round to determine what toilet it will fit on.

  • After having this model for many years, it is starting to leak where the plastic T piece attaches to the seat itself. How do I fix that?

    @timrush9779@timrush9779Ай бұрын
    • It could be a few different things. Check to make sure the rubber washer has not jumped the thread over time. Outside of that, contacting Bio Bidet directly will be your best option.

    • Hello, The majority of bidets seats the plug is on the right side of the unit and the cord length can range from 3-4ft. For the BB-1000 its on the right side and the power cord is 4ft long. The GFCI power rating for the BB-1000 is 120V, 60Hz, 660W. I hope that helps!

  • Hello, My father in law has been using this biobidet for a while now but has recently had to move to a wheelchair. Is there any way to turn off the ‘occupied’ seat sensor to allow us to continue to use this? Thanks in advance 👍🏻

    @RosieP-iz7lp@RosieP-iz7lp10 ай бұрын
    • Sadly, to my knowledge there is not a way to turn the seat sensor off :-/ There are other popular seats on the market where the seat sensor can be turned off. Just let me know if you're interested.

  • I just installed the bb1000. The seat is warm but water is cold. How do I troubleshoot this issue?

    @seattlegirlgonewine@seattlegirlgonewine7 ай бұрын
    • Hello, You can do a hard reset by unplugging the unit from its power source for 60 minutes. After the time is up, plug it back in and test. If further troubleshooting is needed you can contact Bio Bidet directly at 847-458-2334 or support@biobidet.com. Thank you!

  • I just purchased a house with a PP100 seat. The batteries were dead in the remote, and I changed them out, and it has been working great. Then just the other day I started hearing a beeping sound, and found that the remote was staying lit, and beeping. When I pull the batteries out for a few hours, and re-install them, it works for a little while, and then starts beeping again. So I then changed from the new Duracells to the top of the line Energizers, but it still does the same thing. Any hell would be grateful...

    @KWlsuz20@KWlsuz202 жыл бұрын
    • Hello Kim, Thanks for reaching out. I've never heard of the PP100, so it's hard for me to speak to what might be happening there. I'd recommend unplugging it, and letting it sit for about 30 minutes, then plugging it back in. If that does not fix it, I'd probably recommend replacing it with a higher-end seat...
