Villains give speeches before the kill. Arya Stark gives speeches during the kill.
Well, yeah. Villians care about their ego, and monologue before actually succeeding because it makes them feel important. Arya Stark cared about her mission and avenging/protecting her family, so she only gave a speech once it would enhance her presentation without risking giving it away.
That's hasty generalization. We don't do that here.

In the books, people feared the northerners because they were the most ruthless and wild. And in the north, Ned was probably the calmest northerner. He was calm, civil, orderly, and honorable. But ned often worried that Arya was possessed by the wildness. And here, we see what he meant. Arya is the north. Unfortunately, Robb was too much a Tully, and Sansa had to learn through pain how to be a northerner. Arya was always like this. Vicious, cunning, savage, and wild.
Rob was a big pussy.😂
Sansa had to learn to be like a Lannister -- a southerner. Robb was too much like Ned who is the stereotyped lord of Winterfell.
Arya was always my favourite Stark_The North Remembers
Ned calls it the wolf blood. Lyanna had a touch of it and his older brother Brandon more than a touch.
"wild" in the sense of unable to think calmly and clearly that could jeopardize survival for the group. You can see the wildness in the Wildlings in general. All the northern lords think wisely except they have a bad habit of thinking other people will keep their word which was ultimately Ned's and Robb's downfall.
This is why Arya was my favorite character. So badass. I particularly love how she made sure that the young servant girl did not drink the wine. She saved those girls.
That was his young wife, not servant girl. A servant would not be sitting and/or rising next to him. He was a pig, as explained many times throughout the series.
I think that was threes phrase phrase, the old morons wife, his newest wife I guess I can’t talk straight sober I don’t know
And did so while staying in character as Walder Frey, not giving away the game yet.
As much as I would love to think she wanted to save that girl, I'm sure it was to pass along the message. As the old saying goes, "Dead men tell no tales."
@@Jack-fe7rv Surely it was both. Killing an innocent girl (who was being raped regularly as well, I'm sure) would make Arya a proper villian, not anyone to cheer. She could have chosen the servant girl who was passing out the wine (and who we saw at the end of the scene) to tell the tale.

@@omelett9 She didn't kill any of the Frey women or children, just the men who participated in the Red Wedding.
@@omelett9 Since you're apparently unfamiliar with the show, the reason that Arya didn't bother to slaughter any of the Frey women is because none of the Frey women had the loyalty to the Frey name that Catelyn, Sansa, and Arya had to the Stark name. Walder's wives were chosen mostly as political maneuvers, most of them were barely a third of his age, and were to him very expendable (remember the one that Catelyn tries to use as a hostage during the Red Wedding). They had no real love for him or for the Frey name, and would have had no interest in avenging the Freys after Arya slaughtered the male side of the house. None of his daughters (trueborn or bastard) had the mind for the game, as most had been married off or were not interested in politics. Furthermore, none of them were directly involved in the events of the Red Wedding, whereas virtually all of the Frey males gathered in this scene were. And given that Arya found out about the Frey-Lannister plot that let to the massacre of the Starks, she would have known if any Frey women had been involved and probably would have killed them too.

Who else just re-watched the red wedding and came here immediately
To watch revenge
Didn't even get trough 3 minits of the red wedding and I came here 😂
Its painful to watch the red wedding so no lol
Yep
Exactly 😂
5:02 Cheering for "Walder Frey" (even when you know he's actually Arya) feels so... off. This is a character that nobody likes and is basically a pure capital-V Villain. For "his" last scene to use his obvious disdain and disregard for human life in a *positive* way is just so oddly fulfilling. It's like - oh good, the jerk nobody likes is now punishing my *enemies* instead of me. It's a fantastic scene for David Bradley; you get the sense that he's been looking to this for the entire series, and it must've been so amazing to film. Great scenes
“The last thing you’re ever going to see is a Stark, smiling down at you as you die.” One of the coldest lines ever spoken!
Leave one wolf alive and the CGI department might give it cameo appearances once or twice a season.
I feel bad laughing at this
And have Jon send him north of the wall without even a goodbye! Poor Ghost! I was so mad at Jon for that. At least he did redeem himself at the end.
Omfg this was genius
what cgi, there was no cgi
this is an amazing comment
When winter comes for war, You shall hear no Lions roar. When winter forces you to yield, No Stags shall graze upon the field. When winter creeps upon you from the shadows, No Roses shall bloom from the meadows. When winter wreaks havoc on the land, You can bet there'll be no Snakes in the sand. When winter brings to life all it finds grim, The Krakens will freeze where they swim. When winter sets and the land begins to shiver, The Flayed Man will start to rot and wither. When winter fights to the last sliver, No more Trouts shall swim in the river. When winter ravages and all despair, No Falcons shall fly high in the air. When winter shows you what happens when snow falls, Not even Dragons Breath shall warm you in your halls. When winter comes with all it's might, Only the Wolves shall howl in the night.
the dark knight holy shit did you just right that on the spot?!
oh fuck yeah!
Damn that's Epic as hell!!!
Is it in the books or made it yourself! Bcz if u did it, it's just great, kudos!
Holy shit this is awesome.
For me, this was one of the most chilling scenes in the whole series...and I loved every moment of it!
.."winter came for House Frey." That line was cold.
The lion might be the king of the jungle. But the WOLF never performs in the Circus
Except lions aren't living in a jungle.
@@123214matt Do they even have circuses in Westeros?
😂
And they know when to roam in packs
Because people come for lions, not for wolves?
Writer: How many glass of poison do you want? Arya: Yes
Ned Stark has entered the chat
I cant stop laughing!!!! 😂😂😂😅😅😅
She could have poisoned the cask.
@@rtozier2011 Clearly she did. She didn't drink and made sure only the people she actually wanted to die drank.
When I am down, I come back to this scene
What a feeling that must be, to watch all your enemies meet their End by your Own hand ...
When everyone's favorite little sister made them proud.
Do you think Jon would be proud of this?
@@startrek1992 good question
@@startrek1992 No but I think he would understand why she did it
@@startrek1992 He knows nothing anyways
@@startrek1992 Jon let go and then they attack. Ygritte rightly said he knows nothing. He himself admitted he hates to use sword and kill though he is best at it. Whereas Arya uses her skills with full interest and does justice.
"Leave One Wolf alive, and the sheep are never safe." -Arya Stark. "A Lion doesn't concern himself with the opinions of the sheep." -Tywin Lannister. The Starks and The Lannisters have been at each other's throats for centuries, one thing they have in common. they both hate sheep.
Feels bad to be someone with a sheep coat of arms
Imagine There would have been a sheep house XD
Sheep Sigiled Houses: "I'm in danger"
Wait did you say for centuries? To my knowledge, they didnt really have any issues with each other until this show started. They never really liked each other, but they werent going to war with each other until Bran peeked into the wrong window
@@ethanharmer5151 You should read the books.
Possibly the most satisfying revenge in TV history. Wiping out the entire house is just amazing
The gods made him a rat because he killed a guest under his roof. - Brendon Stark
"im going to tell you my plans for this great house now that winter has come" thats some threat and nobody knew, winter has come for you
"the north remembers, tell them winter came for House Frey" Best scene of the whole show.
This and “tell Cersei I want her to know it was me”
No.
Dracarys
I'm on 2nd season now and can just wonder where she get girl's and Walder's mask (or what is it) and how can she change her voice 😅
Loved the second scene, but what I think was wrong in the writing was showing the first scene where Arya kills Walder Frey, because from that moment the surprise effect was not as present when she kills everyons of the Freys, we were kind of waiting for it. Except that I loved this part and the "tell them that winter came for house frey"
He totally embodies Lord Fray! What an impressive actor. Can’t imagine GoT without him
Argus Filch from Harry Potter and Abraham Setrakian from The Strain.
