@Cafearmuire4 жыл бұрын
An even better payoff would've been to write in some casual dialogue some time before this between Sansa and Littlefinger. It could be something like: Sansa: "Do you trust me?" Littlefinger: "I trust no one, sweet child." Sansa: "Perhaps neither of us should trust the other then." She could then later at this scene tell Littlefinger "I did warn you not to trust me" as the ultimate payback for what he did to Ned.

I like what the show did with Littlefinger. All his politics and manipulation meant he was untouchable down south, because that's the game they play. But Northerners don't care about the game. Ned Stark tore up the rules and almost overturned the board, but he was in the south, surrounded by vipers, and they silenced him for it. Littlefinger came to Winterfell and tried to play his games, but he was in the North, where the old gods still held sway. As soon as he crossed the Neck and took up residence in the North, his days were numbered. Northerners don't fare well when they travel south, Tyrion said. Well with Littlefinger, that rule worked the other way around as well.

Littlefinger was my favorite character in the entire series. He represented the moral greyness of this show better than any character. His actions benefited both sides. At times you rooted for him (when he saved Jon at the Battle of the Bastards) other times you hated him (when he betrayed Ned). He was the smartest player of the "Game of Thrones." Surprised at how people celebrated because I didn't think his end did justice to his character! For me it was a sign of the show slipping.

Goddamn good comment. In the Game of Thrones Littlefinger was the MVP. For all it’s brutality the show eventually found a way to take the easy way out and do the standard good guys always win hack. Huge missed opportunity in killing him for some quick fan approval.
@victorsandoval1298 Жыл бұрын
Littlefinger wasn’t “morally grey”. He had no morals and was 100% self serving. He would do or say whatever it took to get him closer to what he wanted, regardless of who he had to hurt/kill/betray in the process. He was a completely detestable human being and represented some of the worst attributes a human being can have. Morally grey is characters like Jaime, The Hound, Arya, Bronn, Varys. Cersei, Littlefinger, Tywin, Joffrey and Ramsay are not morally grey. They are straight up monsters.
@garym6338 Жыл бұрын
@@garym6338 he himself wasn't morally ambiguous - yes he was generally an evil person. But imo moral greyness isn't about good vs evil. It's that you can be detestable and so can your actions, but sometimes terrible people and terrible acts end up with good and beneficial results. And that's what little finger was. He was detestable and self-serving - but he was so good at being those things, that when he was on your team - you couldn't help but root for him because he got shit done.
@Potaters12 Жыл бұрын
@@Potaters12 Moral greynes IS about good vs evil, and Littlefinger was pure evil. One of those people who will backstab you at the drop of a dime if it served him. His intellect was admirable, but his morals were not. People celebrated because he was a walking dynamite that caused death wherever he went, and because he was a terrible person. Fantastic character though, a pillar of the game of thrones.

Right then I knew she was going to set up Little Finger for his fall. Guilty dead to rights. And Sansa being afraid was a ruse. Just an act to make it believable. Damn, imagine if they had good writing and instead of dragging this conflict for the entire show you just had normal writing skills and just had bran tell sansa and arya about littlefinger since he can see everything
Hate him all you want, he played the game of thrones as one of the best
and yet he died on his knees, begging!
@@ianrand9737 Oh, did he ? Guess we should really wait and see :)))))
If you believe the Reddit leaks and the incredibly lame theories by people with "little fingers" who identify with their own kind, you will be in for a very predictable surprise. Only a few days ahead:) @@JohnSnow12345
@@ianrand9737 He died only like this because the directors needed to wrap it up. He is smarter than all the starks combined
really tho, they needed Professor X and Mystique to take him down
Died through his own dagger, betrayed by his own words. What a ironic way to die.
They should have made another episode where he was tried and actually got proper sentencing. Instead we get a Tyrant little bitch who just commanded his bitch sister to kill someone without proof.
@@harlempunk4481 I don't think the show focuses much on politics anymore, they are killing off most of the people who played the "game of thrones", in preparation for the final battle. During the war with the dead, little fingers manipulation is useless, so better to kill off a great character then have him just hanging around doing nothing. I'm honestly surprised varys is still alive
The only way he deserved. Fucking traitor.
I don't think he actually died.
He didn't die. He just faked it.

What a brilliant character Littlefinger was. They had to resort to Bran's ability to make him eventually plead guilty.

"How do you answer these charges... Lord Baelish?" The world of GOT fans rejoiced.
Not really, just the dumb NPC ones who didnt realize this was just idiotic fan service from the 2 directors who had no clue what to do with the show when they ran out of source material.
I love how much they laugh... One could accuse them of being terrible people for laughing at the last plea of a man who's about to die... But this is Littlefinger. I laughed like a maniac too. I haven't laughed this much in GoT since Joffrey.
Era muy inteligente, se merecía un poco de más respeto
It's not real
It's a TV show. I laugh at people dying ON TV all the time. Relax, have a cream soda.
Thats jugs oooo man
I've laughed so much for Ramsay...
When an actor is so good that the whole bar is screaming and rejoicing at the death of the character, you know you picked a great actor.
carcetti or baelih, he is the one
Little Finger: "I trusted you Sansa!" Sansa: "...Just as my father trusted you!"
@@samuelhiatt9338 I think Littlefinger would have figured it out by then.
The North Remembers
@Darth Desec Wow, that metaphor went right over your head.

Legit come back to watch this a couple times a year. Never gets old :)
Whenever I'm in need of a pick-me-up, I watch this scene.
This scene gave me LIFE!
He had to kneel on the floor, so Arya could reach him.
After what he pulled, Sansa wasn't interested in his begging anyway.
I think he had to do that to make the whole scene appropriate. It would be awkward if arya wouldnt be able to reach him and needed multiple attempts to make the right cut.
If he hadn't knelt, she just would've cut his guts open before cutting his throat
@@joris5429 nah it still would have been too easy for Arya, she would have MADE HIM kneel lol with a double cut to the knees then a quick swing at the throat… would have been more satisfying even I think 😬
HE died by his own knife. I guess even Needle was like "this guy doesn't deserve me".
Years later and it’s still the most satisfying kill on GOT!
For me, that was Ramsay. 😁
Walder Frey for me 😀
Red wedding for me
Geoffrey for me
More satisfying than Walder Frey, King Joffrey or Ramsay Bolton?
"How do you answer these charges........Lord Baelish?" And there was much rejoicing
I like that there is a small pause before the next line after Sansa says "Lord Baylish". It's as if the director allowed the audiance to celebrate a little bit before moving on with the scene 🤣
I could feel there was an intended silence after Sansa called out Baelish so that viewers would cheer like that.
Baelish owned this series with his dialogues - “Chaos is a ladder”
Silly petry you’ve just climbed the ladder and it’s a long way down

Idk but it's so funny to see how people get really happy because he died (i did too lol) And it's funny too how some people complain about them making a lot of noise, if you don't want to see or hear any reaction then don't watch reactions videos in the first place
Nadeshka Holmes, my thoughts exactly. Why don't they search for "grass growing", those are really quiet and none of the dialog will be missed.

On most shows deaths can be sad. This is one of the few programs where the death of certain characters is satisfying.

@@courserhunter5592 Man rose from being a nobody to being one of the most powerfull man in Westeros
He is really smart and sneaky person, but even for Little Finger, the lucky times are gone someday, and that episode just show us, how that happy end, did not end like happy end for Little Finger, eventhough he trained the rest of Stark family in his own way of intricts :) so he just build his own the most powerful enemy, so close to his fingers :) if you understand me :) thats why he lost everything and died :)
Agreed. Made no sense. It was more of the plot needing him to die than his character actually culminating his story.
Goddamn good comment. In the Game of Thrones Littlefinger was the MVP. For all it’s brutality the show eventually found a way to take the easy way out and do the standard good guys always win hack. Huge missed opportunity in killing him for some quick fan approval.
Amazing show! Love the Starks. It was so nice to see Sansa finally step up. I felt so horrible for everything she endured. What an outstanding cast all the way!
Amazing actor to have everyone going back and forth, and then hating him completely.
Litlle finger was dead the moment we knew arya was going North, as faceless she has the ability to spott lies remember
It says a lot about your brilliant acting abilities if an entire room cheers when you die. If he hadn't been a good actor, no one would have cared enough about the crimes of his character to react that way.

One of the few times in the series when a villain got what they deserved.
Idk, I feel like GOT did a good job of giving the worst people some of the worst fates. Joffrey's poisoning, Tywin killed by his own son, the Freys killed in the same hall they murdered the Starks in, Ramsay Bolton killed by his own dogs, Gregor Clegane reduced to a shell of himself mindlessly serving Cersei. I haven't seen season 8 yet, so idk about Cersei or the Night King's fates, but the series has not disappointed on that front for me so far.
Geeez, it's like watching a football game.

Funny when you realize how much GoT fans turned into psychopaths. Proud to be one of those dudes who was happy, shouting and satisfied.
Like when Ramsey Bolton got eaten alive by his own hounds. The nicest thing people could say was, 'Too bad Melisandre wasn't there so she could resurrect his torn up corpse so his dogs could do it again." X-D
I like the irony of him being killed with his own dagger, just how his scheeming caused Ned to be beheaded with his own sword
Let it be known that it took someone with superpowers to take him down. If the 3eye raven wasn't a thing he would've ended in the throne, i have no doubt about it.

hey thanks for being understanding and not including any spoilers in the title
Haven't seen all of the show but so far this is my favorite moment.
There was a part in the show a little earlier where Arya said something about playing a little game when she was alone with Sansa. Right then I knew she was going to set up Little Finger for his fall. Guilty dead to rights. And Sansa being afraid was a ruse. Just an act to make it believable. Still think she was shocked at what her little Sis was capable of. She still had Walder Frey's face in her bag. A blood is thicker than water moment. Or said during the show, the North remembers.
Damn I just realized how much I would absolutely hate being at that bar. Lmao
Love these reaction videos. I would hate to be in a room full of people like that watching a show. Wouldn't be able to hear shit. Lol.
I still love this scene. If the Starks are the wolf, Arya is most definitely the fangs. The ending of the show was so far off the mark though. Daenrys could've ruled her own kingdom she built from the ground up across the sea but instead decided to be stupid, and they did a major disservice to Jon.
Absolutely agree. He could have been king. Dany queen of the slavers bay that she freed. Sansa queen of the north and Arya... she ended up well. But they should have sent Gendry with her
How the is hell did I end up back here?? White dress still catches the eye and the crowd's reactions still as infectious! Aiden Gillen is simply brilliant as Frank Kinsella in last years TV show "Kin" as is the amazing Charlie Cox (Daredevil). Roll on season 2!
She's a stunner, but there's also a candle lighting her up. I fault you not.
