One of the worst highlights I have ever seen, in any sport. This video only highlights Serena's high points. This girl is 19 years old and won the US Open. Can we show her some support please? Be neutral. What the hell is this?

These highlights are indeed biased, but it's pretty much representative of the whole match. Bianca didn't have to do much because Serena pretty much undid herself after seeing and feeling Bianca's power. At 2-0 and after the point where Serena tried to hit Bianca on the drop shot, Bianca turned it on and started rippin the ball really hard like she did at Indian Wells rushing and rattling Serena. Serena felt like she had to serve 120 mph and above at all times because anything 110 and below came back to her with authority. She pretty much double faulted most of the first set and half of the second set. They're not going to show you Bianca winning games on the double faults coz it's boring, and plus ESPN loves Serena. Chrissy Evert pretty much nailed it when she said no one on the tour right now returns Serena's serves like Bianca does. Madison Keys is probably the only other player I've seen that can stagger and push Serena back, but then again she hits harder than half the men on tour. I watched this game about 5 times over and over on my DVR, and I was in awe at Bianca rippin the ball about 4 ft. behind the baseline and Serena could barely catch up to it. Bianca is only 5'7 BTW, but she's built like a brick shithouse. Nuff said...

Totally agree with you, Scott. Bianca, who just turn 19 in June, has to overcome not just Serena but the crowd too. The crowd sometimes help but thankfully not in this match. Yosbo Thanks for letting everyone know. I’m a huge Bianca fan, but the reality is Serena had tons of unforced errors despite more amazing winners. Bianca played incredibly well, and her skill is seemingly beyond her years, but the type of play she exhibited in this match is not suited for highlights. It would seem boring to people who don’t follow tennis.

Ya, the key was that first game, when Bianca put so much pressure on Serena's serve, it unnerved her. They didn't show one highlight from it. And in the end when Andreescu played some great tennis 5-5 in the second with the pressure on. These highlights don't tell the story at all.

@Shannon Lee Serena had only 30% wins on 2nd serve (in the 1st set was even worse). That’s very bad, and this is because B returned so well. Because Serena is the GOAT she knew she didn’t have a chance if not serving with the first. That’s why she tried to nail only aces by serving so strong (as she did when she played against Svitolina). She managed a few aces or semi-aces but mostly she nailed the net. Nobody is admitting that your mediocre play is due to the opponent’s superior game

This is beyond ridiculous. In the first 3 minutes they show 8 Williams points and only 1 Bianca point while Andreescu was clearly dominating right from the start 😀 EDIT: Watched the rest and it didn´t change. This video is laughable and tries to fit the narrative that Serena supposedly "played badly". Which she didn´t. The only thing that was bad was her % on the first serve. The rest was pure domination from Andreescu´s side and even the % on the first serve has to do with Andreescu´s aggressive returns. You don´t feel as free when you know that you HAVE to put the first serve in and make almost an ace in order to not get under pressure with the return.

Although there is an obvious patriotic bias in the making of these highlights, Serena DID have twice as many winners for the highlight reel as Bianca did 33 vs 17. And both Bianca's breaks in the first came off the back of Serena's double faults - not essentially the highest of highlights. And the first 5 games of the second were a litany of errors. The best periods of the match were 01-3-4 in the first and 1-5- 5-7 in the second. But on the whole I agree. Should have favoured Bianca more...she just had far fewer winners to choose from I guess....Although this is not totally unseen before. Often I'm watching the highlights with no concept as to who will win and the score jumps 5 games at a time lol

Just letting you know since you're brainless but highlights don't show errors unless they're significant to the match(who wants to see a player hit errors in highlights 🙄) and Serena hit 40 errors but had 33 winners but andreescu had only 10. Therefore they showed more winners from serena bc she hit more than bianca and she deserves it. Also bianca deserves the trophy for being consistent.

These highlights are hilarious. Bianca embarrassed and totally out-classed Serena throughout the match. US Open bias at it's finest. No excuses Serena, you got schooled by a better player. Show some class and admit defeat graciously. Bianca is the future of Women's tennis for years to come.

This 'highlight' video (along with the shorter version they released) is not any more ridiculously one-sided than I would have predicted from Americans. They're not only incredibly insular and biased, but proud of it. The US Open is unprofessional, and from now on I will be supporting any non-US player on both the WTA and the ATP. My apologies to John Isner, who isn't a typical arrogant American, but I'm really sick of biased fans, media and the US Open itself.

Hun, your couldnt play your best because she made you have to change your game style, she had u running from side to side, you lost 2 straight, not in 3. and you also were losing 3 - 1 in toronto, so remember that. But I like the way Serena, after the two hugged, said it: if someone else had to win this, other than her sister, she is glad that it was Bianca. Too bad, she can't quite bring herself to admit that she was in great shape, played as hard as she could, but that the better player won today. Although, just for a second, she did admit it - when, just before they hugged, she said to Bianca: WOW!

Whether you like Bianca or not, she has so much self confidence that she looked like she expected to win that match and the whole ceremony was rehearsed. Players like that come along once every couple of decades or less. I guess that's why some of the other girls have struggled to warm to her. It's just so easy for her.

Most players in a final have already prepared what they would say in the event that they win. Of course they don't want to freeze up during their speech while the whole world watches. And yes, Bianca expected to win but that's the mindset of a champion.

It's not like they come to the podium with a written speech but obviously they have already thought about what they're gonna say and who to thank before the match is what I meant. When players expect there will be an award ceremony in the end. It's common nature. No they don't pre-prepare for other rounds because there's no ceremony involved. But for a final of a grand slam, uhm yeah I think they do and I've seen my fair share of trophy ceremonies. The players who are there often like Federer, Nadal, or Serena can get away with not having to do it as it becomes second nature but for first time finalists I'm very confident they would pre-prepare.

Bianca totally threw Serena off her game....great players do that....its not only have great skills and weapons but being able to take your opponent OUT of their game...Serena gets very emotional when someone steps up like that and throws her...shes not used to it.

Correct in most of what You stated, except the last. The best player of 2019 is yet to be determined. Bianca is the best player on the WTA this summer, winning The Roger's Cup on Toronto and USO.. WTA points this Year 2019 Bianca is currently #4, very close behind Kaorlina Pliskova and Simona Halep, with Ashleigh Barty leading. Bianca is currently #5 behind Naomi Osaka. Bianca has four titles, which two are Major Premier and one Grand Slam, and victories over many of the top 8 and 10 ranked players. The later gives confidence and may lead to more continuing results in major and Grand Slam tournaments. As much as Serena wants to believe she didn't play well, the difference is that Bianca had a plan that worked to perfection.nearly all the time Serena was on the defence. One of the worst highlights I have ever seen, in any sport. This video only highlights Serena's high points. This girl is 19 years old and won the US Open. Can we show her some support please? Be neutral. What the hell is this?
These highlights are indeed biased, but it's pretty much representative of the whole match. Bianca didn't have to do much because Serena pretty much undid herself after seeing and feeling Bianca's power. At 2-0 and after the point where Serena tried to hit Bianca on the drop shot, Bianca turned it on and started rippin the ball really hard like she did at Indian Wells rushing and rattling Serena. Serena felt like she had to serve 120 mph and above at all times because anything 110 and below came back to her with authority. She pretty much double faulted most of the first set and half of the second set. They're not going to show you Bianca winning games on the double faults coz it's boring, and plus ESPN loves Serena. Chrissy Evert pretty much nailed it when she said no one on the tour right now returns Serena's serves like Bianca does. Madison Keys is probably the only other player I've seen that can stagger and push Serena back, but then again she hits harder than half the men on tour. I watched this game about 5 times over and over on my DVR, and I was in awe at Bianca rippin the ball about 4 ft. behind the baseline and Serena could barely catch up to it. Bianca is only 5'7 BTW, but she's built like a brick shithouse. Nuff said...

Bianca played incredibly well, and her skill is seemingly beyond her years, but the type of play she exhibited in this match is not suited for highlights. It would seem boring to people who don’t follow tennis.
Ya, the key was that first game, when Bianca put so much pressure on Serena's serve, it unnerved her. They didn't show one highlight from it. And in the end when Andreescu played some great tennis 5-5 in the second with the pressure on. These highlights don't tell the story at all.

Because Serena is the GOAT she knew she didn’t have a chance if not serving with the first. That’s why she tried to nail only aces by serving so strong (as she did when she played against Svitolina). She managed a few aces or semi-aces but mostly she nailed the net. Nobody is admitting that your mediocre play is due to the opponent’s superior game

This is beyond ridiculous. In the first 3 minutes they show 8 Williams points and only 1 Bianca point while Andreescu was clearly dominating right from the start 😀 EDIT: Watched the rest and it didn´t change. This video is laughable and tries to fit the narrative that Serena supposedly "played badly". Which she didn´t. The only thing that was bad was her % on the first serve. The rest was pure domination from Andreescu´s side and even the % on the first serve has to do with Andreescu´s aggressive returns. You don´t feel as free when you know that you HAVE to put the first serve in and make almost an ace in order to not get under pressure with the return.
Although there is an obvious patriotic bias in the making of these highlights, Serena DID have twice as many winners for the highlight reel as Bianca did 33 vs 17. And both Bianca's breaks in the first came off the back of Serena's double faults - not essentially the highest of highlights. And the first 5 games of the second were a litany of errors. The best periods of the match were 01-3-4 in the first and 1-5- 5-7 in the second. But on the whole I agree. Should have favoured Bianca more...she just had far fewer winners to choose from I guess....Although this is not totally unseen before. Often I'm watching the highlights with no concept as to who will win and the score jumps 5 games at a time lol

Just letting you know since you're brainless but highlights don't show errors unless they're significant to the match(who wants to see a player hit errors in highlights 🙄) and Serena hit 40 errors but had 33 winners but andreescu had only 10. Therefore they showed more winners from serena bc she hit more than bianca and she deserves it. Also bianca deserves the trophy for being consistent.

Totally agree! You can’t skip over that game. She held her nerves and held serve when Serena was pushing back big time and the crowd was against her. It showed amazing guts and determination. These highlights show none of that.

Whether you like Bianca or not, she has so much self confidence that she looked like she expected to win that match and the whole ceremony was rehearsed. Players like that come along once every couple of decades or less. I guess that's why some of the other girls have struggled to warm to her. It's just so easy for her.
Most players in a final have already prepared what they would say in the event that they win. Of course they don't want to freeze up during their speech while the whole world watches. And yes, Bianca expected to win but that's the mindset of a champion.

The players who are there often like Federer, Nadal, or Serena can get away with not having to do it as it becomes second nature but for first time finalists I'm very confident they would pre-prepare.

I sincerely hope that the Grand Slam status from US Open be taken away. It's not just the New York crowd which is disgusting but also the overall behavior of the organizers. I hope more people raise their voices for the Grand Slam status to be removed from US Open.

Truth be told both ladies played well. As much as Serena wants to believe she didn't play well, the difference is that Bianca had a plan that worked to perfection.nearly all the time Serena was on the defence. Bianca had an absolute mental strength. How can u play in such environment and win ,where all crowd is cheering every Serena's point even when a shot dangerously nearly hits Bianca! If some one got a hold of this video and didn't see the score or here the announcers they would have thought Serena would have won the match. They showed Serena with 25 winners, Bianca 15. These are absolutely the worst highlights I've seen. Wasn't able to watch the match because of Hurricane Dorian and this is all you got?
