My goal is to help you maximize your success in school and beyond with the most effective, efficient methods, so I hope you know I speak with love 🧡 You're a real one if you stayed to watch the twist at the end where I explain when study videos ARE helpful! 🔥

    • Genuine question: does this video work when I only have ten days until my finals ? I am a student in Egypt and our curriculums are pretty hard to say the least so I feel pressured and when I feel pressured I just stop and do nothing With the exams coming up and having a lot of stuff undone I feel like I am the only one suffering plus what also adds to the pressure is that I am one of the top 10 students in my grade so the need to study is always in the back of my mind but my body says only more five minutes on Instagram won't hurt , the five minutes turn into a whole day So the question is according to something you said in another video : Can the need of maintaining that image be a temporary why to my need of studying or it will just fade away?

  • "How can i lower my screen time? - you already know how to do it, just do it" there's something called a d d i c t i o n... but yeah anyways here are my tips (that partly work): - set your screen to grayscale (or like some horrible eye destroying green) no colours = less attractive to the eye; horrible green colour = don't wanna look at it - physically seperate yourself from your phone (if you're studying, don't keep it in your room, put it in the kitchen/living room; if you're sleeping, don't keep it in your room -- get a cheap alarm clock) - turn off notifications - delete distracting apps (this will force you to download the app every time you want to use it) + log out of your accounts (this way you have to log in every time and it's really annoying) - maximise friction (friction = the time it takes you to do something --> if your phone is right in your pocket it'll take 1 movement to get it out, but if it's in the bottom of your bag which is at the other end of the room, it'll take several steps to get there etc) - ask yourself why you are using your phone so much (procrastination? Escapism? Tired?) - find other things to do instead (try doing things you enjoyed as a child, like drawing...) - try a challenge where you don't use your phone at all for a day (or more) -- it's easier to not start than it is to stop. - make your phone as unattractive as possible (maybe put a really embarrassing picture as your home screen so that you can't take it out in public or idk) - put an elastic around your phone (idk abt this one...) Can't think of more rn but try that for a start

    @cp-m9178@cp-m917813 күн бұрын
    • I recommend a longer password on your phone if you're interested in lowering your screen time. A longer password+ removing any fingerprints/face scans will make sure you actually take time to type the whole password which will surely cut down your screen time cause you're frustrated to type the whole password in.

    • But we can be mindful and proactive to work in the right direction to gradually become less addicted. I've experienced the addictiveness myself so I understand the difficulty when I deleted the apps completely. The problem is that most people appear not to even try hard enough to begin with.

  • Yo Amy, just wanna say, I really appreciate that you mention in your videos that you’re “not a genius”. I’ve always struggled in school, and I’d honestly get intimidated by those “naturally smart” kids who were always effortlessly getting straight A’s while I was always struggling to just just keep my C’s. Real talk it messed with my head so much in high school that I barely graduated. You’re probably one of the most genuine “learning coaches” I’ve seen cause you’re straightforward and empathize hard work over anything, which is something a normal (not genius) dude like me can understand. I’m currently in college for nursing rn, and I’m slowly gaining confidence with academics. It’s still not easy, but it’s people like you and videos like this that keep me going (and slightly less intimidated by the “naturally smart people”). Keep up the good work, you’re definitely helping a lot of us out here! 🙏🏼

    @mattxgill@mattxgill14 күн бұрын
    • Hi Matt, I really appreciate you sharing this comment. I relate to your struggle because I always felt this sense of uneasiness when people would say "you're so smart" or "you're so lucky" when really, the biggest thing I did was simply grind really hard. I suppose working hard makes us smarter and more efficient over time, but no, it's not easy or natural, and I think this is a really important message for students to not give up when it's difficult. It's amazing how you've come so far and continue to grow! I'm wishing you the best on your nursing journey. You will be fantastic. Feel free to let me know if there's anything I can be doing better to help you and the A-Team more! 🔥

  • Couldn't agree more. Sometimes, I honestly feel like I watch study videos as a validation for what I already know to do. I think this is similar to that overflowing cup of water analogy - you have too many ideas for how to tackle a problem in your arsenal, but then you never use any of it. The issue most of the time is that I just don't do it enough or with enough time (I. E. procrastinate). It's just like with screen time too, like, I know how to do it - it's literally just that initial barrier of starting to stop doom scrolling. EDIT: Also, this vid just popped up in my reccs and I somehow didn't know I was subbed. So, I've conscientiously subscribed today ❤😂 really enjoyed the topic of this video and the issue(s) it addressed.

I'm really thankful that you mentioned my problem and gave a really realistic solution. The part in which you described how affirmation works and how negative self talk affects our mind, not only negative self talk but we should cut off negative people who remind us of our past self whenever we try to improve. wAmy you literally have no idea girl you are saving lives. Today I came to KZhead for help once again but this is a tip I will never forget to always think positive forget the negative that is being pumped into my mind and focus on my work, then I ask myself what should I study? I come back here and waste my time. Thank you for making me realize the immense waste of time I was doing now I feel prepared to do it all

  • The time analogy was good. 10 hrs of school most of the time or 5? 1 hr. of good exercise or 1hr. of video games? Good routines, just adds more wood to the flame, and the flame is hungry. It wont stop eating. Guess what the fun part is ^^ it wont stop growing when fed correctly, and practice makes perfect. Zen meditation and yoga really help. I would give one more, be aware of surroundings, it would help applying what we learn in math science or language in practical life.

  • Sometimes I get into these moods for extended periods of time where I can't just do anything, and I never feel good about it. No matter how horrible it makes me feel I just can never do it or anything. I always feel tired. Often I tell myself to just get some sleep, but I feel like sleeping would just make it worse. Soon my sleep schedule would start getting all messy. I'm always tired and groggy. Sometimes I just need a boost of energy and motivation. And after a while these motivation videos lose their effect. I was feeling myself getting into one of these moods again, but this video helped. And it definitely helped me better than the other motivation videos (no offence to those creators of course). Thank you

  • This video was good for me, when I'm turning to study tip videos it's often because I'm wanting a quick fix or easier way to get my work done. The truth is that hard work is hard work! Better to do it well than avoid or procrastinate. Not easy, but good to be faced with reality and not anxiously look for ways to get around it.

  • Amy i am from india and I just love your content and there is a reason for that- I am a 10th grader and all of my vision of an ideal student matches with you , you don't teach us to get good grades even if you are lazy or just like 'no effort but good grades' kind of but you teaches us that if we want to achieve different we have to think different and I am just so so much lucky that I found cause you are the only foreigner youtuber who matches my vibe. I have sometimes also doubted myself for having a different mindset like that from my friends but now that I have found you I belive in myself and have happiness that yes there is someone out there who thinks like me. You are way way much different from other and teach us like our elder sister and I just love that Thankyou so Amy for comming in my life. I just can't thank my luck anymore. God has sended you as an angel for me Lots of love from India Btw I would love if you will reply 😊
