    • That's a normal month of driving in Ohio. I like how some of the cameras show that the driver recording the video was violating a traffic reg. Except that there are no traffic laws in Ohio, just guidelines.

    • Can confirm, even during lockdown when there were almost no cars on the road in Cbus there were still just as many accidents, people running into barriers and ditches and the like. Also got taken out during lockdown myself, head on when they crossed the center right in front of me, had a camera but unfortunately the battery ejected from my car and dash cam dropped the footage instead of just switching to internal battery (I dunno, seems a bad design choice).

  • There was a segment where a driver stopped at the end of a freeway on-ramp in his attempt to get on the freeway. As a long-time motorist who predates coast-to-coast freeway construction, I can say that stopping in such a manner was once pretty common. In the 1950s, it took a couple of years before drivers got used to the idea of merging with traffic rather than stopping and waiting for an opening in traffic. There is a similar phenomenon with the construction of intersection roundabouts.

  • Living in Ohio, this makes me want to get a dash cam! I drive 35 miles to work one way, all expressway and leave early 5:30 to beat the traffic. Every day I swear I'm in a stock car race! Coming home is even worse. People riding my bumper at 85 as I'm passing cars ... it's nuts. Selfish, entitled people pretty much suck.

The biggest thing I've learned from dashcam videos is that honking doesn't do a damn thing and that everyone is afraid to steer around cars in their way for some reason. Leaning on the horn is just dumb.

It's a two way stop, cross traffic does not stop, so it was the trucks responsibility to check that there was enough room for him to cross. The cammer shouldn't have gone over the top, but the amount of people here who don't even bat an eye at cars coming their way is ridiculous. Especially if they are the ones with the stop sign. Edit, it isn't even a stop sign, it's a do not enter sign.

Now many years later, at 70 years old, I put away my driving desire, and sold my car. I take taxi's, or Uber's. It's so much better to just sit back and relax! It may be a hard fact to acknowledge, but it's better to admit the passage of time, than to pretend you're still 20.

It hurt him greatly to lose his independence, and my uncle even fought to allow him to keep a temp license for around town. But the rest of us knew it was only a matter of time until he hurt or killed someone. Now him and my grandma have mobility scooters to run around town in the warmer months, which has really helped him to accept his "new normal".

The right exit lane is the only lane you can turn right on red so a lot of people get in that lane to do so but then immediately cross into the left lane.

  • Today I learned that all you need to do to piss off an Ohioan is cause them to use their brakes. So many angry cammers who just refuse to share the road. (Not saying all the cammers, but the most I've seen in one video)

    • I think we've found someone who is a horrible driver and doesn't even know it...and will likely blame anyone else for every dent, scratch, and missing part on their vehicle.

    • I'm not saying the others drivers aren't to blame for their mistakes...Just shocked at how angry some people get about having to slow down. Some people act like they just saw someone slap their mother. And the only dent on any vehicle I've ever owned was from a branch falling in the winter. 0 Accidents over 20 years.

    • @@JediMcPimp My bad - I misunderstood your point. I do agree that many people are just so quick to lash out at small things... sadly, myself included!

    • Don't forget the part where you almost run the other person off the road before trying to escape from them in order to avoid facing the consequences

  • I’ve seen the driver in #32 before. My therapist office is just ahead of where she turned and I swear she did the same thing to me before lol
