Ty for letting us know
Ε
still gonna watch it :)
Don't sweat it bud, shit happens :)
The audio reminds me of the upcoming youtubers that spend thousands on cameras and stuff but then forget to fit a mic into their budget so they use their phone's mic just out of the frame
this sounds more like the audio captured by a camera micrphone than from a phone. most phone mics are decent, almost like a lapel mic
iPhone mic would be better than this lmao
@@tiestofalljays it’s sounds like a iPhone mic underwater
Like those guys who talk so loudly that the audio is clipping 100% of the time
Just @ my damn channel next time 😂
This is my audio quality when discord switches from my headset mic to my webcam mic.
Cuz it was relatively speaking compared to the other lmg vids lol
i thought i was the only one
I can relate
* chuckles in 500 people mumble *
Who cares
I miss the days when the product being reviewed was actually in the title of these videos.
This isn't a review (allegedly)
The title has the same quality as their audio.
These arent Reviews. Just quick videos showing you what it is, that is all.
Yeah this is just their first impressions channel I believe, could be wrong though
They update it after a few hours, plus these aren't really reviews so much as unboxings/first impressions
At first, the audio issue was noticable. The longer I watched it, I got used to it to the point I could no longer discern the "quality".
Im so use to shitty zoom audio i didnt notice at all without paying attention
Feels like im listening to linus through two cups and a string
Haha
Stop being so nit picky
@@anthonyd5557 yeah just use UHQ sound upscaler
I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed that, otherwise my ears were going.
@@anthonyd5557 imma pick your nitty
You know, the audio quality reminds me of old LTT. It feels great! Thank you, whoever messed up, it felt amazing. I think I'm gonna rewatch some old videos now
The first time I actually see linus rage quit. We need a compilation if there was other instances.
Where? In the video
he looked quite into it
@@heroburns7684 At the end.
Wad game was he playing?
@@MrGunster Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Love the swappable features on the mouse.. we might see this develop in the future 🔥
Being able to open the mouse without tearing the feet? That's excellent!
linus is starting to host short circuit almost like he used to host netlinked on the ncix channel on his final days.
i like linus unleashed, that's why i follow his channels, riley and linus were the best hosts of ncix's channel
The desk pad is great to use with all mice. So smooth and looks amazing. Also, just having this on my desk caused a 5% increase to my cinebench scores.
Glad I wasn’t the only one caught off guard from the audio quality
Yeah i had a heart attack for a sec because i just got new pair of headphones
I love the quality of these videos, red 8k camera paired with an Amazon Prime cardboard box mic.
I got this a couple weeks ago but be aware when you put the dongle back in the compartment remember the little ridge has to be looking out otherwise you'll have to take it apart to get it back
This has to be the first mouse ive seen with hotswap microswitches, and I absolutely love the idea. Tempted to get this over the Model O wireless just for that feature alone.
Tough call. I bought model o day one and it's still one of my top men.
The micro USB has teeth that help keep the cable in your mouse while you low sens. The dongle holder adds weight to your mouse (albeit not much), so it makes sense to cut it unless the mouse is explicitly for mobile use, which in term is not the usual application of gaming mice.
Don't worry Linus - as a wireless mouse collector (and a few wireless keyboards), most latest peripherals comes with a usb dock within the product itself :) I can confidently say its a common practice now to have it that way (my fave dock version would be inserting the usb all the way through, seeing only the top side of the usb stick).
Hot swappable switches look cool af. I might get this purely for that feature.
Hopefully mice will also become like the mk keyboards where you can build your own mouse and customize switches.
Yeah. It's saves a lot of time and effort replacing the switch and avoids potentially damaging during repair.
That's the main reason I bought the Strix Impact II after my Corsair M65's LMB conked out. More companies need to adopt hotswap.
I bought an ASUS mouse simply because you can swap the switches without using any tool except a screwdriver. Too many unusable mice because of broken switch (double click, sticky button). Yes, you can open the switch an fix it, which I had done and it only lasted for less than a month. I can use a solder to change it, but why going through all that trouble when I can simply buy a mouse with user replaceable switches?
@@RurouTube the battery will probably die before switch gets broken tho.i prefered an AA battery
Having extra switches and a place to store the dongle, is the best thing they have done.
I like those old school scroll wheels that turned to bubble gum after a while.
4:18 i use the scroll wheel a lot when i'm using Blender. mostly to rotate the model hahah
I took my Steam controller somewhere and have not seen the dongle since - totally agree that all wireless items should have a dongle holder!
The real thing is that since you don’t usually remove the dongle from the usb ports, it just increases the chance that you lose the done once you do, if it doesn’t have a place to put the dongle in.
Absolutely amazing tech review of this amazing beast of a screen 5:05
Ah yes, Master Chef. My favorite character 😂
Finally, a USB-C charging wireless mouse! I'm definitely thinking of getting it during the next sale.
I love Linus but I'm used to getting my mouse advice from David Gauthier, please keep him on the mousing beat :)
Yeah -- where do you hide him, Linus!
Yeah get David back on for mouse unboxings!
Oh my, Halo CE is where all my online gaming started. My first clan, endless hours. Lovely Memories, i still love Halo CE and especially Halo 2
You should do a follow up with the swappable switches. I have the ROG Chakram, and my biggest complaint about them is that the switches become wobbly in the socket pretty quickly. It makes the mouse click squishy. I'd have to find some paper to jam in to keep it stable. Otherwise, its a great mouse and the idea of just yanking and putting in a new switch is awesome.
Just what I was afraid of. Should have some claws to grab the top of the microswitch. Guess I'll stick to soldering.
A compelling product. It looks like the battery might be somewhat user replaceable. I might upgrade to this (or something like it) when my Logitech G700 finally dies.
Have you guys reviewed the pwnage ultra custom mouse yet? And if not do you plan to? I switched from my lightspeed because of the double clicking issue, and love the simplicity of the pwnage, the low weight is a bonus, and it's got all the features in the mouse featured above (aside from sensor which I'm not too sure about)
I, too, feel this rage about no dock for the dongle.
When is the glorious model o wireless review/unboxing coming? It was mentioned a couple months ago in the g pro x super light video.
Never. They need to pay for that and it's never going to happen.
@@mrmrmrcaf7801 what are you talking about
@@audreyfinigan4293 when they got paid they'll be releasing that
We decided to not unbox it as we got it quite late due to shipping issues. We're not opposed to unboxing it, but just the timing was off for make a video on it. We use that specific mouse in many of our videos on this channel, and it's a quality mouse at a great price. Definitely recommend checking it out!
@@ShortCircuit and what about the LTT mouse pad review?
ROG mouses are underrated. They are great for gaming. But they are sometimes outdated but they do have great features with the ROG ecosystem!
The dongle storage is why I still have my Lenovo N50 and MadCatz RAT Mobile
Replaceable switches is good. I wonder if the ROG switches are better / more durable / more appropriate for micro voltages than the omrons?
I respect linus' love for pink stuff. 👍🏻
With the amount of skilled staff and equipment you guys have, you should have a go at building your own wireless mouse!
they'd have to make molds for it because 3d prints would be too heavy
@999 Shit wow it's almost like you'd need to use more material to make it durable ... wonder if that'd make it heavy
@999 Shit 3d printing a mouse would underperform unless they 3d print it out of titanium in some minimal lattice structure, that'd be cool but they don't have a titanium printer
@999 Shit true, but I know chemistry and density. a 3d printed mouse will struggle to compete with a mold. modern high end mice are made with expensive materials, not generic 3d print filament, if they do it, they should use some fancy metals or something
@999 Shit making a DIY mouse is a material science project, so chemistry and density are important if you want a competing DIY mouse. a normal 3d printed DIY mouse is just going to be a more expensive and worse version of a mouse. Mouse sensors are perfect, there's no improvement there outside of designing a new type of mouse or picking a sensor with a high DPI which could be a video but isn't what you were talking about. what they could do is experiment with 3d printing materials like titanium and make a lightweight superhighend mouse that they could anodise for some fancy colours, that'd be cool, a normal plastic mouse will just be a heavier worse and more expensive mouse.
I bought this just because that dongle execution was superb. And I wanted a wireless mouse.
Looks great, would love if it had another set of buttons
Could you do an honest review video of the ROG Chakram? The only mouse with a joystick on it lol
I’ve been wondering if Asus mice are good, and my friend has a full-fledged Asus setup, and this mouse in my opinion is the exact same as yours. Weird connection.
i love asus innovation for hot swappable switches
keris wireless is the same as gladius iii wireless ? you should review the claymore ii keyboard tho theyre both new
If I could get an mmo mouse version of this, it would be so nice. Currently using a Razer epic Naga.
I hope every mouse has easy to replace click and also spare part button. Again also standardized dongle, so every wireless mouse can connect to every dongle that support the standard.
I think Logitech gaming mice need to come with extra switches because I've had like four or five of them already with the click registers go out after several months. The g520 Proteus spectrum I'm using right now so far has lasted over a year.
How about mentioning the scroll wheel? IS it a stepped or smooth scroller, can one toggle between them? If it offers smooth scrolling, how smoothly does the wheel spin? How hard is the stepped scrolling?
I don't know Linus, whatever could the power icon mean? It's OFF basically, then it turns ON when you select 2.4ghz or Bluetooth. It should auto ON while wired and you would preferably toggle the switch to the power icon while operating that way.
My G203 wheel got stuck, and now doesn't move. The left and right click still very good tho.
you should try the Xenics Titan GX Air Wireless. nobody talks about it and its so good. same exact shape as the Ultra Custom Symmetrical but it use a pmw 3370 instead of the 3335 (you cant adjust the LOD distance on the Ultra Custom Symmetrical) and has a better battery life that last over 70h. the weight is 76g with the cover with holes and 78g with the plain cover. it use USB C to USB to recharge the battery, it comes with a software that got everything you need including the LOD distance settings. really great mouse
Be good to know what your thoughts on best silent gaming mouse would be
Try the Basilisk X Hyperspeed razer mouse. wireless, large mouse, i love it personally.
My Razer Deathadder Pro V2 has a paracord USB C charging cord as well. Maybe this is a shift from manufacturers? Of course I do not like using the Bluetooth connection on mine. It's so sporadic.
In regards to sensor - details on 3335 but how come you don't mention the latest flagship being the 3370 which is in the latest Endgame XM1 and Mountain Makalu.
@logitech Takes some damn notes about changeable switches!
Just got my mousepad “nice” love the stickers, thanks my people
Yeah me left click failed but I switch the left and right click with a solder iron. The fail was only bad for left click and barely noticeable on the right click
Just picked this up for the sheer reason it supports tri-band - you'd be surprised how hard it is to find a gaming mouse that does all 3 modes of connectivity
The audio is like that digitalstorm aventum video
Considering how USB-A ports seem to become more and more rare, I'm thinking that we a mouse with USB-C on the other side of the cable as well and same thing with the dongle- Preferable with a USB-C to USB-A converter (or vice-versa) for the first half-a-decade or so.
This made me check my rog chakram now I realized i can store the dongle inside of it
Question: can I use my ROG Falchion and this with the same USB dongle ?
This is the ONLY Linus Media Group channel that I'm subscribed.
Plenty of reviews for this mouse came out with some of them having complaints on QC issues such as double clicking issues, middle mouse button not working or wireless connection issues.
this isn't a review...
@@aminelswefy1808 I didn't say this video was a review, I simply just stated "Plenty of reviews for this mouse came out with some of them having complaints on QC issues such as double clicking issues, middle mouse button not working or wireless connection issues." such as ones from reddit or other youtubers under no circumstance implies that this video is a review in the first place. I'm informing users or hobbyist that are planning to give this mouse a try under this LTT ADVERTISEMENT video a heads up and that they do their due diligence to look up reviews themselves first prior to blindly purchasing a random product being ADVERTISED by LTT.
I really, REALLY hope to see the hotswap PCB on more mice in the future since this is the innovation that the mouse market needs, not 8kHz polling rate. No offense to 8kHz polling, but it's not 100% usable yet because it breaks/doesn't work with many games and can only really be seen on 240-360Hz refresh rate panels.
what is better the razere viper ultimate or the gpro superlight
I wish the Logitech MX Master had a place to store the wireless dongle
omron is what logitech uses as well. lots of people are complaining about it because it double klicks very easily. lots of people have complained about that who uses logitech mice.
I lost the dongle for my Logitech mx anywhere 2 literally within the first day of owning it because there was no place to store it in the mouse
That mouse was a piece of crap. No dongle storage, no scroll wheel middle click.
Hope you guys get your hands on the asus rog claymore 2 whenever that launches.
Happy to see another g915 tkl user :)
You should review the Rosewill RWM-001... greatest mouse ever. period.
5:52 "Master Chef" LMFAO
You don't actually need extra hardware for USB-C since it's backwards compatible with USB 2.0. You can have a fency usb c connector and really run it over usb 2 (or usb 1.1 if you really want to)
Bought the mouse based on this review. Is there any way to switch off the led without installing the software. I looked through the manual and could not find it.
As an electronics engineering student I disagree with the "complexity" in implementing type c connector. But I definitely agree with the economics of micro USB.
can you test drag clicking when doing mouse reviews
I wasn't fooled even for a second. I knew that that was a rocket launcher all along!
I feel like you guys need some blocks in the BG making the short circuit logo.
So my razer nari essential is trash for not having a place to put the dongle? Maybe. But i like them
Thanks for the note, I thought something was wrong with my headset!
how does it compare with the viper ultimate or the g pro x super light
Replaceable switches is soooo great idea. My 2 logitech died because of switches and are hard to replace
I wish more companies would feature modular parts like Asus does here. That's pro-consumer and environmentally conscious product design.
On my last mouse, the middle mouse click kicked the bucket first, because I always use it to open links in new tabs, but the worse thing is, I started middleklicking, when I already had that mouse for a few years.
Are they using the mic from the toy truck review?
I remember replacing the left click in my now retired Zowie after slamming my mouse into the desk after getting desync’d in tarkov. Learned how to solder which was fun! Making them swappable like this is a great idea for all mice but might not pass the rage test and send switches flying 😂
I bought a cordair harpoon RGB wireless The wireless dongle doesnt work, i got a replacement aswell.. it worked once then stopped being detected atall in windows.. on multiple computers so its a hardware fault ig.. ? Its weird bow it happened with both dongles though.. and i dont think it was a problem with the mouse as well why would the dongle itself stop being detected atall.. as the new dongle when i first got it paired completly fine Tl;dr i paid double for a mouse for wireless but it doesnt work
Ahh I wish I had gotten this instead of logic just because of USB-C (but also the Bluetooth part would be really nice). Wireless charging would have been enough for me to consider selling mine and buying this. Oh except the buttons aren't symmetrical never mind.
Dunno why ASUS have that massive gap between the left and right mouse button, I tried an older model like 4 years ago and my fingers and hand hurt after 15 minutes
Sir, I am from India. Please make a video on Deepin 20 Linux. and Tell us if Chinese OS safe or not for use daily driver.
Will wait for official LTT ® solid gold version.
idk what type of hold im doing with my mice. my palm is on the actual back of the mice but only my fingertips touch the actual buttons. in my eyes it looks like claw grip but a palm grip at the same time. idk lmao
I´m having issues connecting it via bluetooth. Is anyone else not able to even pair it?
I am guessing they changed the techlinked mic with shortcircuits
one question can it drag click
How many wireless mice are there with usb c receivers. Laptops keep getting thinner and are moving to only usb c. Where do I plug in my receiver that's still usb a.
