The reason you fell is because that board was not installed fully (sorry but you did not screw it in enough as that would not have come apart if it was). But, it happens
That was the joke of the me saying what I said lol clearly it wasn't a viewers fault. I could have done a lot of it better/safer. That's why I laughed when I said it at the end of the video.
@@TheCrockers sure, but headlining the video that could make the person who advised you to try that to feel guilty. It’s always about context, but as I said it happens. Hopefully the rest of the builds goes more smoothly
@@8cylinderstolife737 I havent wven finished watching and know he wasnt serious by the title..chill
Just glad your not to damaged. Be careful with the rest of the build.😁❤
It's clearly sarcasm@@8cylinderstolife737
Scaffolding, for safety. But don't blame viewers, not cool. Accountability for owning ones flaws, that's what men do.
Worst thing you can possibly do is working out a bucket of the tractor my very good friend was in the bucket of a tractor helping a neighbor he fell he’s paralyzed he’s in a nursing home now has been there for 12 years it’s very dangerous
So glad you weren’t hurt more seriously. I knew you weren’t serious about blaming anyone specifically. Love seeing all the progress!
Glad you didn’t get hurt worse!!😊. Great job you two!❤❤
Wheww my heart fell into my stomach 😢 glad you're ok. Sean James from my self reliance used pullys and ropes as well to build his log cabin. Ya'll are ROCKIN this barn build and im so excited to see it completed. Take pictures and frame them 😊 ya'll be safe and keep on keepin on ✌️ ❤❤❤
Sean James lost a log when he built his outdoor kitchen and learned to use his equipment in a better advantage. I'm sure Jason's learned and has figured a better safer way. He likes to get a rise outta his fans with his humor. Me, I would use lag bolts and 16 nails.
Had nothing to do with the “advice” you were given. Your fall & injuries had everything to do with your cross beam being unsufficiently fastened with appropriate length and sized fastening screws. If you used a fastened leverage beam high enough with pulley system and a board from ground to beam at an appropriate angle the framing could have been easily raised with minimal risks. Equally, the tractor used to lift the frame was suitable IF you had suitable supports to canter lever onto. Scaffolding could also have been your friend. Unfortunately you want to put a price on safety and go with “sketchy”.. “VIEWERS” gave you suggestions NOT advice. You’re old enough & smart enough to weigh up options and decide what’s appropriate for your circumstances at those times. You’re also mature enough to understand the risks but anything you decide to DO is at your peril.. Nothing your doing comes with NO risk.
I’m glad you’re okay. The board gave way and that’s why you fell, not by advice from your viewers. It was your error for not securing the board properly. I agree with Danielle, it’s much easier using the tractor.
100% true
Maybe consider renting a scissor lift for those days of high up there work. Even buying one, then reselling it when you're done with the building of the barn and house.
I agree. Or scaffolding. It's too easy to purchase/assemble scaffolding. No point in risking it and working sketchy/unsafe.
@@motherofminions0502 Yes, scaffolding is also a cheaper option. I'm personally terrified of heights, so either scaffolding or a scissor lift would be a must.
I agree, I am surprised that they didn’t get a set before all this started. Scaffolding can come in so handy for numerous projects and situations
Definitely rent a tele handler is what you need, You will not be sorry you did that!
It’s a blessing that you two are not seriously hurt . Stay safe. Great job
Glad you’re okay! Thats definitely reason enough to have a chill evening and relax, re-coop, cookout, enjoy a beverage, and spend time with the one you love. That was no joke. Y’all stay safe!
Glad you didn’t get too badly injured. That was a hell of a warning. Please think about a safety hook for your ladder as I notice it wiggling as you move. In the fire service we had a ladder hook that anchored the top of the ladder. Working around that hook will mean that you need to be patient but it beats falls.
I’m thankful you weren’t hurt badly or worse! I love watching you both work! Please continue to be safe, stay well and continue the great work!
That is definitely not OSHA compliant use of a ladder. 😅
I’m just glad you’re ok ! And not seriously injured!
I've seen about 10 OSHA violations ... lol
I am so glad you are not hurt badly thank you God! Asking God to protect you both during this building, no ALWAYS PLEASE GOD PLEASE, Amen
That bored that gave way he probably only used 1 nail in it with nothing under it to support it,it's totally his fault
Definitely not enough!
NOT THE VIEWERS FAULT>>>>GOOD LORD< JASON>>!!!
OMG Jay, the whole time watching you under that pulley thing with the rope connected to the four wheeler gave me anxiety. OMG at any point in time it could've snapped and then "off with your head"! Terrible idea. Holy crap. I NEVER argue or disagree with ANYTHING you have ever done. Always been supportive of you and your decisions. BUT this was nerve racking to watch. Thank goodness no body was seriously injured.🥰❤️🥰❤️
I am so grateful that you did not get hurt. No more scary stuff.... Hugs
I’m pretty sure there is equipment at Home Depot that can help you do this without endangering your self.
Jason get a couple guys out there with you for a couple days and be safe. 🤞🤞🤞🇨🇦
Are ya trying to give me a heart attack? Scared the daylights out of me. God bless you guys.
Glad to see you are ok, do what you have got to do.
Jason you sent my heart into my throat...So glad you were not badly injured please stay safe.
Glad you didn't get hurt too badly Be well be safe
It was extremely scarey watching you fall Jason and could have been far worse,\. So glad you have a good nurse that will fix you up real good tonight. It looks fabulous. You two are amazing.
Jason, when I am building any structure, I concentrate on that one I am going to put fasteners. I make sure I secure it right then and then. I am glad you didn’t get hurt that much
Your working very hard to get the project done. I'm glad it wasn't worse. Happy to see your able. I remember neighbors coming together to do projects instead of hiding away in their compartments ( houses) watching TV or sitting on the internet.
Omg. Glad you weren't injured too bad.
Glad you're okay!!
I’m thinking your roof is going to sag in a few years. You need headers between those posts. The strength of those 2 sideways 2x4 will not be rigid enough to stay flat. You could add a header under it with some jack studs to make it better. Do you have a plan or are you just making it up as you go?
Jason you scared the hell out of me when you fell I’m so glad it’s just scrapes it could’ve been so worse you guys please be safe and God bless
Lmao 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Of course blame someone else.. 😂😂😂
@Tonyamidd1976 of course have a sense of humor and maybe watch video to the end.
Glad you're ok Jason...but the barn is looking amazing...regroup ,then maybe get Jeremy ,and his 2boys over to help you finish up...maybe because your doing other builds look into borrowing ,buying or renting some scaffolding...anyway glad your ok you might hurt tomorrow though..❤ take care put some meds on your cuts..
I'm just glad you didn't get seriously injured. I was worried for both of you. Dangerous job/positions to be in/ doing. You two are awesome together.
Glad your not Hurt, that could have been bad.
Hi Jason and Danielle. That was scary to watch. Glad you and Danielle are OK. Please be SAFE while building. Love you both💕💕
So glad you're okay 😢.❤
Rent scaffolding you’re going to need it for all 3 buildings!
Glad you are okay. Can’t keep a Crocker Man down! Hang in there Danielle. I saw the look on your face when Jason fell. Blood, Sweat and Tears! ❤❤ Your Homestead is looking great!!
Glad you was OK Jason
Hey, you got it done!!! Mission accomplished. You get to a point where you just want it done and a good job by both of you.
Sure sure, blame it on the old guy from Florida...😂😅 Im glad there was some soft earth to land on, and you're ok. Love ya'll ❤️
Damn brother I can't believe you didn't screw that board in enough, glad you are good, be careful man
So glad you're OK. It's looking great.
So glad you didn't get seriously hurt Jason. It freaked me out when you went down.
I've done just enough overhead work on a ladder that the whole sequence was creeping me out! I'm glad you weren't severely injured.
Glad you are ok.
Thank goodness it didn't get worse, scared the poop out of me ....😮that's crazy man
DANG! Guys you have done some sketch stuff before but this is the first time I've ever sat prone nail-biting. Whew! I even worked up a sweat. Glad everyone's safe.
I am so glad you are both okay! It looks great!
Always lean ladder on other side of board to avoid pop outs of nails or screws. Use scaffolding or scissor jack. Seems a bit reckless the work your doing.
I'm surprised you didn't use lag bolts...I'm glad you're alright though.
How many different properties in Oklahoma have you built on? Was looking at some of your old videos and seems like you start getting established and then your starting over on a new property. Looking at the videos I count 3 properties
Gosh, my heart dropped when you fell. Glad you are okay.
Oh my goodness, I am so glad you are okay!
YIKES!!!!! Scared me I bet it scared you Danielle! Glad you are okay Jason❤❤
Hope you're not beat up too badly, Jason. Glad the barn is coming along, though. Get some rest guys.❤
That looked scary! Maybe in the future you could invest in some scaffolding instead of just a ladder?
Dang! That was scary! Glad you’re ok!
Dear God my heart stopped 💔. I'm sure glad you are okay.please be more careful going forward. I know you want to get it done safety first.
I am glad you were not hurt. Another great video.
Dangerous project - seems too much for Danielle 🥺 glad you didn't get hurt too bad Jason 🙏
oh no, be careful Jason. sending prayers for you.
I thought 🤔 you nailed everything,a 16 penny nail is rated for 1,600 lbs.! Glad you weren't seriously hurt, could have been bad..stay safe
Hidden Heights and Eddy family both have new litters, 9 & 10 respectively. They are all being acclimated with the rest of the goats and kids. Both families of puppies are doing an amazing job with the other goats.
Glad you’re ok, be smart👍
LACK of NAILS and or SCREWS!!
Jason I know you’re the one fell, but I feel for Danielle. This is the very reason I never say anything but be safe and take care. Hope that didn’t hurt too bad, Be safe and take care 😊
Weld a plate on a lenght of pipe and then bolt the plate to your tractor buckets. We use that to hang trusses.
Jason I’m just glad you are ok that is all that matters. Stay safe.
I'm glad that your okay and u didn't get hurt.
Glad that you are okay especially with your ankle injury from before! They’re called accidents for a reason! The pulley was the was to go.
Glad you didn't get hurt too bad but at least you have the hard part done the rest will seem a lot easier good luck..God Bless from your Canadian Friend.
😊😊😊So happy you are ok. Accidents happen. If you learn something they’re not mistakes, just hard lessons. You guys are great. ❤❤❤
Did you ever hear of bracing, geez!!
At least you had a nurse on standby, if you really got hurt. Build a jib to put on the tractor to lift objects up high.
Glad you ditn't get hurt worse❤❤❤great job you two❤❤
Omg ..Jason and Danielle .... I don't want to see either of you get hurt at all... Please be careful!!!!
I’m glad you are okay , be careful next time while you working on
You're screwed if you don't put enough screws in the board holding your ass up... blame the dog.
Yikes, are you ok!!!! That was quite a fall!!!
blood, sweat, and tears you did it good luck
Did that board only have one screw in each end till you nail it up there??? Forks are cheaper than your life!!!
Thank goodness you have a skilled trauma nurse on standby. So glad you didn't get hurt any worse than you did. Rub a little dirt on it and move on. Be careful both of you. It's always dangerous working on ladders. I know you didn't need me to tell you that but it's from the heart.
Jason all those top things to have about six screws on each side so the boards don't let go on you I used to do roofing we used to do 64 6 screws on piece of wood because a lot of weight is on top of that roof
The board failed because you were on the wrong side of it, had yoy been on the other side the nails and screws would not have pulled out. I can imagine how sore you will feel the next day, best wishes to you as it made my heart sink to see it happen.
Why not build those shoet walls up there in place and not on the ground that would hav been a lot easier and quicker
Yes that's how framers would do it. Much easier.
So glad you are ok ❤❤❤😊
Holy shit that was aweful, that could have ended so badly, you are going to be so sore for a while. I hope you are planning to take some down time now.❤
I glad seen you ok be careful Jason and danielle
If Jason listens to a viewers advice the outcome of this in all on Jason! We cannot blaime the viewer who suggested to use the tractor! They have fork lift forks that clip onto the bucket too. These may come in handy for one to lift stuff with. If I take someone's advise and use it then I still have to be responsible for my actions and doings. When we point the finger at so and so we get to leave ourselves alone and have three fingers pointing right back at ourselves. Probably scared the mess out of one falling too! I did not like watching this go down either.
The title was being funny. I literally say in the video I was just joking and I could have done it better/safer
I had a 1200 lb box car door fall off a hoist due to no safety latch almost killed me, I won't do that ever again
After reading some of the comments from some of the highly major construction builders, NOT. more likely arm chair experts. I watch to the end and know that he was joking about taking advise. As my mother used to to say “If you don’t have anything nice to say keep your pie hole closed.” As always stay safe, stay healthy and keep your powder dry 🤙🤙😎🤙🤙
Not the viewers fault. The choice is yours.
Omg! Jason, I thought you broke some bones for sure!
Happened to me as a contractor when building a cover for a deck. I learned from then on to nail the boards up then put carriage bolts through to prevent failure from lateral loading.
JASON, Please,Please, Please, don’t do that again. That scared me so bad. Thank goodness you didn’t get hurt seriously. You’re a tough little rascal, but that could have been really bad. Pleas Stay safe. God Bless and Much Love.❤️❤️
