  • Lambo doesn’t need a barn. He needs a fence and a lady.😊

  • You should build in a small feed storage room in the animal barn for grain and other feed and baled hay and straw when necessary. That way it is close to the animals and you can store any tools that you would need in relation to feeding and caring for the animals. Make sure your shop is big enough for vehicles and all your tools and other equipment like generators.

  • Great job getting the tractor started. Always love seeing you work on your off grid property. If I can make a suggestion. You can dig a big hole and push your cut brush and tree trunks into it and then rebury it with the dirt you pulled out. The trees will break down over time and they get out of your way faster than brush burning. I've seen other construction guys and farmers do the same thing. Keep up the good work

  • I'd start a big burn pile. If you pile up the limbs somewhere they will interlock, and be there for a long time. I still have massive piles 6 years later in spots where I cant burn. Also need some drainage at the road and culvert so your driveway, cattleguard and fence doesnt wash out.

Front is looking good and when you can really think about getting some rock...Oh will you go through the same company that brought you the rock at SDR? Excited to see what the new barn will look like since you already built one before and the shop after that. I am hoping you also film the grain silo B & B's so we can see what they look like as well when you check them out. Kind of like when you were touring sheds to convert now we get to see silo's already converted. Stay safe and warm you two ~peace

  • Electric Pole trucks are heavy. Pack that dirt at the cattleguard down hard. Too bad U did not have time to gather a bunch of rocks as a base on both sides of the CG and then put your clay dirt down. More solid base, less squish when the rains are there. Yellow clay when wet is slick and squishes badly w/o a solid base under it. Be Blessed and Thank God every once in a while. It won't hurt you ya know. :D

  • BTW, think of your barn size. You'd be surprized at how much more beneficial a 25x40 would be over a 30x30. It'll just be much more functional that size and also seem much bigger. Even a 20x40 will be more functional.
