Under the stairs I've seen built in drawers, coat closets, washer and dryer room and even reading nooks etc.
I've seen a toilet and sink with cabinet under storage under a stairwell.

I really like the front porch but I woulda went wider over top of both other windows that way you could at least sit against the walls and look out in your lawn chairs

Air BnB is very nice. 28’ diameter gives lots of space opportunities. I would only put 2 bedrooms in yours and that will allow for larger bathroom. Perhaps you could put washer/ dryer upstairs to give space for pantry and kitchen counters.
We like it, looks amazing. I had never seen inside one before. Should give you guys lots of ideas to think about. Can't wait till you start on yours. Thanks for taking us along.
If you did pocket doors to the bedrooms it will free up wall space to centre bed heads & give you more room to walk around the bed, if you have 2 bedrooms upstairs and put the bathroom between you can make a 2 way bathroom that is ensuite from the main bedroom and opens onto the hall for access. I would make the laundry room dual purpose with the pantry & vent the appliances outside.
My only suggestion would be to use pocket doors where you can on flat interior walls. That way, the doors do not congest the space, and then you don't have to worry about the placement obstructing something else.
I want to live in a silo's. I drive past two daily and I imagine them as homes. Could use pocket doors in some areas. The whole thing is adorable.
Only thing I didn’t see was a bathtub which is very handy if you think you might have kids. Love it. Can’t wait for you to start yours.

What a beautiful Grain bin home. I like that they don't have lot's of vaulted ceilings. So much heat is wasted with them. It's so cozy and comfortable.

Really REALLY NICE... you will customize your home to your liking 👍🏻.. I'm sure Danielle will keep you on track.. and will finish it.. Can't plan or raise a child in a camper..😮 Building the staircase seems to be the biggest obstacle.. but it was awesome to stay at one and be able to film fir your future references 👍🏻

I noticed that there is a window in the closet and that's why there wasn't a door on it, so you can get the sunlight in the room and it helps with heat in the winter. If there was a door it would be shut and that's a waste of natural light,

This silo house just shows one way you can get the home done. It was brilliantly done and a great stimulus for adding your own creative touch when you build your own silo home. Just thinking about the smaller home and useable floor space I think I would make my own cavity sliding door, pocket door units in the straight walls. I say make my own as I like to over build and strengthen as well as make these accessible for maintenance, fiddle but well worthwhile as well as money saving as a DIY unit. My first home used these. I am going to follow this journey with you as I love different homes and yours is a great potential, just want to see how you go about it. I am retired so vicariously experiencing building creativity is a pleasure, for me. Thanks for sharing

Having a nice sized bedroom for the kids, for the children that is a very neat room for the kids, that looks cool for kids as well, really is perfect for a kids room and is slick for an air bnb.

I was hoping that the ceilings on the upper floor were going to include the pitch of the silo roof. I think it would look so cool to have kind of a vaulted ceiling.

Something to think about on your own build, enclose the back porch to keep the bugs off of ya during the summer, and animals off. This place you went to is amazing

pocket doors would be very useful for the bedroom closets or any small space. In the kids room you could also use loft beds with the bed on top and a computer work place area with neon lights underneath. I've seen a couple families do that that have shared bedrooms and want to make use of the space in their kids bedrooms. They really decorated the loft bed areas up cute with the computer desk underneath, a small chair, bean bag chair, game console, rope lights, etc to make each loft bed their own. Great idea for limited space. Ceiling fans and mirrors will be your best friend with those tall ceilings.

Jason you should have been checking out things like how they attached the 2nd story floor joist to the wall or how did they put flat windows in a round wall instead of checking out de-core

Great video! Jason with your furniture building skills you could build a curving bench with storage inside, along the wall in the dining area and then construct a large table that sort of nests into it so the table could be pushed against the bench to free up space when needed. Could also build pull out drawers along and under the stair wall. I know you’ll do a magnificent job!
