I recently watched a video by a scientist, called on the internet professor Dave explains, and he made a video telling people the earth isn’t flat, he was responded by armies of “flat earthers” telling him he was wrong by telling him unchecked stuff, and he responded to a video made by that community debunking the video they made to try and debunk him, proving valid arguments, and showing when HE put good arguments up to them they just laughed it off and spouted a random equation or scientifically proven law that they didn’t go into at all.

There are a number of things flat-earthers cannot provide and the top two I can think of right off the bat are; 1. They cannot explain a solar or lunar eclipse using a flat-earth model with factual science (measurable and observable). 2. They have no working model of a flat earth that provides exact, measurable distances including all continents, countries and bodies of water in between. They can't. This has already been proven, yet they seem to think a spherical earth is some sort of conspiracy theory despite the overwhelming evidence otherwise.
The same can be said about Globeheads trying to decipher unproven Gravity and a Wet Spinning Ball hurtling throigh space on a mission to nowhere.

I find it personally amazing that this is a concept that is being seriously argued. To certain minds, however, scientific proof has no meaning - most likely because the wherewithal to grasp even basic scientific concepts are seriously lacking. Best way to manage these confrontations is to smile and nod because it is not worth alienating close friends and relatives over. Be kind and compassionate and change the subject!

The problem is that people as depicted in the video are not constrained by logic, facts and evidence, they can make up any version of the truth they want, so any logic is countered by nonsense masked as truth. If they can't think of a retort, there is always the "LIES/CONSPIRACY" response, which is apparently the ultimate answer to everything. This is why we need science, it drags us kicking and screaming towards the truth. Regarding the point in the video about horizons. If the Earth were flat, you wouldn't be able to see objects hundreds of miles away. Scattering of light by the atmosphere would reduce the contrast between the object and the atmosphere as the object recedes, so eventually the contrast of the object would be too low to see with our eyes.
Some of them are just trolls, we call it "ATTENTION SEEKER".

@Steve Forster I don't know but I am now thinking and I never done it but if the earth is a ball flipping over or around every 24 hours I would think I should be ale to put a gyroscope in the table and it should flip right over in 12 hours and back up in another 12 but I don't have one to test it.. The obstinacy of a true believing flat earther lays in the same mindset as the faithful in a religious cult. I was raised in such a cultic environment and I walked away from that belief system as a young man because of the responses to honest questions I had about the history, teachings and doctrines of the cult along with the disparagement and character assassination I was subjected to for just asking a sincere question. No amount of logic or independently verifiable history and facts would dissuade these folks from taking an honest and objective look at what they’d be taught, or perhaps better said, in that which they’d been indoctrinated. In their minds eye, the unbelief of “the world”, those that weren’t members of the cult, was because they’d been deceived and that actively contended against the cult’s truth were lovers of deception andagents of evil. It was a real “us vs them” mentality. Devoted flat earthers are cut from the same cloth. The more aggressive responses, that I received in my youth from the cult, taught me that I was threatening their entire world view by virtue of just humbly asking a question. Cognitive dissonance can be found in many places.
Never argue with any of the 4 I's: Ignorance, Insanity, Intoxication or Idiocy.

Easiest way to stump them is the 'two pole' star problem. When facing north the sky rotates counter-clockwise around Polaris, when facing south it rotates clockwise around Sigma Octantis.. ask them to explain this with a flat earth model and watch the hilarity ensue!
I've heard one flat Earther claim that there is some sort of "lensing" involved that flips the stars over in the Southern Hemisphere, so they see a mirror image of what's seen in the Northern Hemisphere. But most try to avoid the subject.
Explain how early sailors navigated by stationary stars on a spinning globe travelling through space at some horrendous speed, just want to hear your professional view on that, as a kid i knew old sailors who could name thousands of navigable stars that were in the same place all night and the always got to their destination.

A quick google search shows there are between 1.5 and 2.3 million pilots in the world. If the earth were flat they would ALL have to be in on it. Really? There's not ONE pilot who wants to spill the beans?
All pilots use flat maps. Flying over a flat earth. Everything with a rotating globe could not happen.

@@Merlontheblubb i have friends and customers who are pilots. They have their routines if passenger jet pilots, private 1 2 engine plane pilots or even fighter Jets pilots ( they dont talk much). FE is not something what matters. Most of them notice that there is no earth rotating with 1.35 MACH.
@@Nehner What has rotation has to do with speed? You don't feel rotation because of conservation of momentum; it's the same as saying that you feel going at mach 1, which is wrong. You don't feel speed. So, in reality 0 groundspeed can be actually 1600 km/h (earth's rotation speed), or close. Flight plans take the spherical nature of the earth into account, and modern flight plane software does as well. If you are flying a short distance like 400 miles or less, you can plot the whole trip on paper using flat earth maps, and you can pretty much ignore the shape of the earth. But for longer trips, you probably shouldn't do that. You might miss.

You can prove without physics. You just need geometry and motion. Eclipses are created by a spacial body’s shadow being projected onto another. If the sun and moon are the same size and distance from the earth, a solar eclipse physically couldn’t happen yet it does. This in itself proves it but you can go further. How could the earth get between the moon and sun to make a lunar eclipse? If the earth is a disc, almost every eclipse shadow would be a warped circle or thin line, yet every shadow’s been a perfect circle (almost like a sphere would make, weird)? These are easy questions that can’t be answered by flat earthers because flat earth doesn’t work
Thats completely untrue... All FE'ers believed the globe model at one point to. They came across facts and science and changed their opinion based on the non fraudulent new information. Unfortunately its all heavily cencored and removed just like the 'plandemic'... But theres still factual information if you know where to look. FE' s just know real science can be proven!!

The most common argument flat earthers give for why things fall is funnier that what this guy's mom said in the video... They think somehow buoyancy causes things to fall down when there's nothing to suggest why down is down and now up, left, or sideways... except for gravity.
