    • linebacker coaches with no experiencing game planning don't make good head coaches long term. Ra Ra will win you two or three games. That's about it. They beat the Giants with backup QB today.

  • O'Connell/LVR get to 4-5 after dominating the lost in the abyss NYG. McDaniels gets fired and the offense looks better. We seen this before in the past. Very interested to see how O'Connell plays the rest of this season. Congrats on the win LVR 👍.

  • Firing McDaniels was the best thing the Raiders could’ve done. From what I saw, the players really showed much more poise and eagerness in one game then they ever did under McDaniels. They quit on him. I have a really good feeling about Piece, I hope he does well!

    • The Jets are a different animal. Their defense is solid. So coach has to keep getting the ball out of O'Connell's hands at the same quick rate to be successful. But that secondary is _still_ an issue. They can't seem to stop the run. I'm just shocked that the Giants weren't able to put up more points because of that problem.

  • Cool to see DeVito and AO getting some playing time. Both guys have quick releases and their college careers were solid. I always think "Power 5 QB who overachieves for teams that are bad" tends to be more successful in the NFL than "top 5 school QB" these days. Guys that are up against top talent, running for their life every play, learn how to read defenses and make better, faster decisions than guys that have 5 x 5 star O-linemen giving them 10 seconds to throw

    • Well there's also the inverse rule brought about by the draft - the highest picks invariably go to the worst teams. A logical system for parity, but it does unfortunately does see a lot of rated guys get absolutely murdered when they end up on a team coming off a tank.

Alabama haven't had a solid NFL QB in 30 years, yet they're always fighting for a National Championship. And you can find this more often than not with all of the top cfb schools. Even the "big school QBs" that are successful, like Burrow, had their team overachieving that year (exemplified by the following year's record). * I'm not including Hurts at Bama because he didn't finish his college career there.

    • @@yorkrothschild9922 A lot of it is related to Purdy's success. Smaller, Power 5, school and a QB who put up big numbers. I'm not a scout, so you have to look at the system they're in, and were his INTs his fault, or bobbles by WRs etc. But "on paper", both TD and AO looked appealing coming out of college

    • Well, we better not draft Caleb…drafting a QB all while having a total inability to control the line of scrimmage, in either direction mind you, would be the dumbest decision a team can make. Take the Rams of the 90s, go get an Orlando Pace lineman and with that foundation you can have a nobody like Kurt Warner win a Super Bowl…but that won’t happen, the idiot fan base will win, they will draft a QB and he will be running for his life, just like now.

  • The fireing of Mcdanials and his ilk had an immediate result. The benching of the hapless, injury prone Jimmy G was the best choice the new coaching staff could have made. The Patriots West experiment was an utter and complete failure. We're Back !!

  • We played a good game against an opponent we were supposed to beat, glad we beat them but we need to carry this energy all through out the season to make the playoffs. Proud of the win I don't remember the last time I was able to think the raiders where gonna walk home with a win in the 4th quarter.

  • As a lIons fan, all I can say is your GM and HC matter. They need to be on the same page and have the same vision. Hope this is a sign of good things to come for the Raider Nation. A former player as a HC may be just what the raiders need to live up to the potential they have.
