  • I really wish these crowds would learn to stop booing the fighters like this. Obviously, they both had punching power, and they were both aware of it. They couldn't just go in there wailing away and leaving themselves exposed.

  • not a bad fight at all. both on the level of each other. a genuine good match up. boxing needs good match ups like this, fighters who are on the same level fighting each other instead of mis matches.

    • Raoul Akhtar i agree it was an excellent fight. but for sure not on the same level as eachother. Peter has way more talent and works harder than Lee... Lee is just a different human being than the rest. He takes a shot arguably better than anyone I've seen. he's gritty, mean and has a hell of a left hook. but yeah good fight lol...

    • Brandon Barton he has a hell of a right hook. Not left hook. And Lee won this fight in my opinion. Skillwise it is close

    • Can't argue with the decision considering how hard this fight was to score! Both fighters are blessed with a high skill level and neither one deserved to lose, really, so a draw is probably the right call by the judges, even though I personally had Lee win it five rounds to four and three even. Close fight, good result for mine.

  • PBC should record what the corner's have to say after every round like both HBO/Showtime productions do, and allow us to hear in on then through their youtube channel. Having an ear in the corners in between rounds is the main thing I miss about watching these bouts on cable. I hate the commercial interruptions but I know they're necessary so meet us half way and let us see what goes on inside the corner through youtube (I'll even watch a few integrated commercials for it.)

  • Great tactical match. I had it 113-112 for Lee. Thought Lee won the 10th and 11th with Quillin doing too little aside from one or two eye catching shots against Lee's solid boxing and repeated lead lefts leading clean to body and head. Quillin won the 12th. I also had Lee winning the 3rd so without the bad call on the knockdown it would've been 115-111 for Andy Lee. Somehow still was not bummed by the draw but no matter what the trip being scored as a knockdown was critical. Steve Willis is one of my favorite refs (behind Smoger and Roy Francis) but crap happens. From a lot of angles it surely did look like a legit knockdown.

When he trains he can really be one of the best? Or he got lucky against this kid? OR is it that he was just too big for the middleweight division? I don't know. What do you guys think?

    @ToneRetroGaming@ToneRetroGaming4 жыл бұрын
    • I am no expert but since it was ruled a knockdown (erroneously, as we viewers had the advantage of seeing) I don't think it's a standing eight. Isn't a standing eight count only when the ref stops the action before a fighter is knocked down? I think this was just a case of the ref not giving the full count because he could see Lee was ready to fight.

  • I know its stating the obvious, but there hasn't been much talk of a match between Golovkin & the undefeated Quillin, & now I can see why: Quillin hesitates way too much when he stands in the pocket. He should either move out of range of let his hands fly; not just stand there. Golovkin would eat up this type of guy every day of the week. This one was a good evenly matched fight though. Wouldn't mind seeing these two go at it again.

      @jakc3d@jakc3d8 жыл бұрын
    • +jakc3d He is interested only in title holders (and Mayweather) because he wants to be undisputed champion of the division. If Kid gets WBA from Jacobs GGG goes after him.

    • +Escobar88 I think you mean Quillin refused the fight when K2 contacted him to make the fight when he was the WBO champion like Sturm,Martinez,N'dam, Soliman, Chavez jr, Cotto who all avoided GGG. Quillin keep on talking about the money has to be right. Respect to Pirog & Lee the ones who signed to fight but the fights did not happen for different reasons & now you have Canelo is he going to do the same has the rest

  • Quillin won this fight. Draw is bullshit. I mean Lee had some moments but not enough. Knocked out twice. Almost knocked down a few other times. Quillin picked shots a bit better. Forgot to mention Lee's knock down was a little on the lucky side from a off balance Quillin. I'm guessing that's the only reason it came to a draw. He still should have loss. Quillin out boxed him a bit better.

  • Kid Chocolate has massive power. If Kid Chocolate was an aggressive forward fighter, he would make GGG look beyond 1 dimensional. Kid Chocolate has crazy potshot power, like Roy Jones Jr. He could've finished Lee easily in the first 1Rd. He clearly had that KO he just focuses too much on timed accurate counter attacking. He needs to learn to WANT to finish. He'd be a beast. But have no doubt he definitely has power. Also aside from the Monroe Jr. fight - here's another Southpaw - Lee - that needs to fight GGG. GGG's camp talks about unification blah blah blah, but they don't bring in enough cash to pay off their WBA and WBC fees into a WBO unification. Lee is a huge Southpaw and he's no Ishida, Gardner, Ouma, Fuchigami, Proksa, or Monroe Jr. Andy Lee can crack. He's got power. I mean GGG ducking Lara and Andrade. Trust me you guys are being played the fool. It's better to take all risks and call out Orthodox fighters like Cotto and Alvarez because AT LEAST if exposed there's a nice payday. It couldn't be more obvious. ''U noah, boxing...isa biznis, I unnastan'' -GGG

Quillin had GGG's sloppy seconds against Rosado and yet Rosado landed more on Quillin than he did on GGG, and Rosado got hit less often by Quillin than he did by GGG...and Rosado's face was battered...in less time. now begone you tool.

  • Really don't think Quillin won this fight. He might have had the cleaner and more effective punches in some rounds that stunned Lee but Andy Lee was more consistent and more effective for the majority of the round. For example they scored round 5 for Quillin based on a 20 second rally. 20 seconds does NOT win a 3 minute round and Lee was not hurt enough to facilitate such scoring. If you follow actual judging criteria the effective aggressor, better defence and ring generalship in most rounds was all Andy Lee.

  • This was a close Fight and i honestly cant pick a Winner so i had it a Draw to also, 'Peter Quillin' by the way is a very good Boxer he is tricky the way he moves his stance but he looks Awkward to Fight against, 'Andy Lee' is a very good Boxer also with a killer Hook that would knock Anyone out as well he is the WBO World Middleweight champion and he Deserves it anoil.
