That was a GREAT podcast and I'm SO excited to see regular-play Jeopardy! again, I've been waiting for regular-play to come back.
17:40 If that was true then why were invites sent out to the JIT last minute? Aside from these three contestants, everyone had low prep time aside from Victoria and Brandon who helped Troy Meyer prep for the TOC
also, the TOC preparation argument doesn't really work considering that the JIT has a much bigger possible qualification window than the TOC does. players on the TOC tracker know about being brought back for it and what qualifies them. even with players who win less games they can expect a likely CWC invitation. also, it's SEASONAL. JIT had players who debuted as far back as 1985 ffs. i'm also not sure how they can claim rematches before finals is game manipulation, but making it to where it's very easy for players who have faced off before to meet again in the finals isn't? i'm really disappointed with their response to this. if this is how the JIT is going to be organized every time, i'm not looking forward to it.
