HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAA LMAOAOAOAOAOAOAOAOAOAOAO OMG IM LAUGHING
This is so underrated comment I have ever seen...
yes 😂
Me too my english not the best xd
Just the fact that these gentleman understand every word of the speaker is already impressive. Not even the cc could keep up with the accent.
it's neutral english
@@JP-mu5er accent
Also the fact they are in a big chamber with an echo does not help
I don't understand too well either but I don't think they have an accent. It's just normal British English.
Of all the English accents, how on earth is this one hard to understand? "Keep up" with the accent? I must be hearing something else 😂😂
I can proudly say that I not only couldn't get a single question right but wasn't even able to understand the question to begin with.
Listening skills
Lmao

You need to understand that these guys are much smarter than even the ordinary Oxford/Cambridge student, I study at Cambridge and I would have lost so bad on this one
What do you study?
@@ll-vj2uu I am doing my undergraduate, currently year 2 in the Engineering course and will be choosing my specialization in year 3. I am mostly likely going to choose electrical and information sciences.
@@rkrough6996 That's great. Good for you. Would you say that the classes are much better than at other universities?
@@rkrough6996 , why are you omerican England. Who are you. How are you. Best universities, bananas, palaces. Aaa

Bazinga!
Omg hahaha, absolutely!
Love at the final question when it starts with “This economist…” and the economics student from Oxford immediately leans forward.

They probably even put on purpose the 2 guys without the glasses in the middle right
So true. Spectacles have some extra neurons that they add to the wearer. 😅

😂😂
The students are so polite and calm.
What else would you expect from students representing 2 of the best universities in the world
I would love to see Oxford and Cambridge team interviews on where these students learnt all these facts which regular human beings struggle to even understand what the question being asked is in order to provide any sort of fact in the first place. Across such a wide variety of topics and question types it's almost unbelievable how they know so much STUFF!
It's practice and study

I saw Richard Freeland on University Challenge years ago. He's still brilliant and absolutely lovely.

Yup. Couldn’t agree more.
14:33 all of them were in sync with head movement
😂
I thought the 2 guys with glasses from Oxford University are twins- the guys who sat beside each other. Btw, they are all amazing. Congratulations.
My favorite aspect of this competition was how well the teams were rounded out... each person complimented the other with his knowledge. You could tell when someone was in their field of expertise..
You making that impact on every video Mr Birioti . Keep it up we need more of these
Being able to answer a science question then a random knowledge one back to back is the best feeling
Amazing that they are well versed in General Knowledge that fluctuate randomly in time. To very specific geographical region- to specific books- concepts in specialized fields so on!
They all did great! Hope everyone is doing well and have a good life. God bless y’all ❤
Great minds right here, pleasure to watch.
The One Cambridge guy not wearing glasses is so sweet
Well done guys. You are real hard-fought. It's easy to go around social media from morning to night and rant as if you know something. you chose the hard way and it's not for everyone.
They’re answering quicker than I can process the question
they're all exactly how you'd expect them to look
i am 3 minutes in watching this and i dont understand a word. lord theyre good thoughh
I've watched very many episodes of University Challenge with Jeremy Paxman reading the questions. And I've never had any difficulty understanding the questions. But here, they're difficult to understand because of less than clear diction. It is a bother to listen to.

@@charlieworsley6060 Hahr hahr, clever boy. Better now?
Guys it’s not always about the university it’s also about the personal effort
I don't think this sort of facts is even taught at a university. This is stuff you either know or do not know long before finishing grammar school.
Some is taught, I knew a lot of the STEM questions from uni. The history/art/architecture/literature/political deep cuts are self taught
@@u.v.s.5583A lot of it absolutely is taught in university. Some of the literature might not be in most classes but the science absolutely is. The current events you can get by following world news
Is anyone else here trying to answer the questions? I've been able to answer one of them spot on and I feel so good about myself rn
Well done, lads.
I was very concerned for Oxford in the starting,, but look it you beat the champion..
The comeback from cambridge at the middle was really entertaining haha, they were down 85 points, and they managed to overtake oxford by 5. Simply genius, especially from Krol!
This makes it pointless to watch haha
Oxford made a great comeback
This video is so british it colonized my phone
Hahahah good one
I would be so interested what all these guys are currently doing. They are so amazing!
I feel perfectly comfortable with the fact that I got 3 questions right 😂
You had to look at their faces during the first question🤣🤣
Absolutely i didn’t understand anything but I really enjoyed watching this
Each team needs a token guy without glasses
has wokism gone too far?

These guys are brilliant, how does a person even memorize these facts? From books, shows, or practice?

34:01 the last decisive question was about economics and Oxford team had a economics student , he answered it correctly 🤔
When they asked the question about Mississippi I was thinking finally a question I know but no. Although for the question after it would’ve helped to know geography and geopolitical context, Tennessee borders Mississippi so when they said “well not Mississippi, Utah?” I knew it wasn’t going to be right.
They are already British enough to understand the accent in which the questions are being asked to them😂
I just like how both teams have one guy not wearing glasses
I don’t know about yall but I loved pausing it in the middle of questions and looking for things up so I could get it before they could
Richard freeland! That’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time
Brilliant!
this inspired me to read more and expand my knowledge, thank you!!
Reminder to keep going
The opposite here. I should focus on useful knowledge
I’m proud to say I knew FOUR of these
Wow! These guys' memory is on a whole another level (seeing a thing, name once and can remember it forever) OR they are given a book or something to read from it before this competition!! How the hell I am supposed to remember Robert Kirkman was the director of walking dead?

It's quizbowl so the distribution of questions is the same for each match - e.g. 4 history questions, 4 literature questions, 1 each on biology, chemistry and physics
well done lads
Lord Of The Flies and angular velocity, pretty straightforward. Both teams had very good players.
It’s sometimes hard to hear the questions. I got the first one, though, because I used to hang out where Dylan Thomas drank himself to death.
