He was trying to FAKE transition, and everyone praising this guy but it seems to me he just appropriates old jokes, maybe not even his own, builds them into real life by adding names, "Andy Richter the Swedish German" or "Quentin Tarantino and Pulp Fiction." Not denying it's comedic and he has timing and a style all his own, but unlike Conan, I don't say (believe) "You're just riffin.' " It's obviously prepackaged, and presented well.

It's the small, quick asides that hit the hardest when you're able to reflect on what he was saying, a dagger of comedy here and there, then floating back down the river again, and everyone in the boat is a little confused but they know they're having the time of their life.
