Armed forces , firefighting , police officers . This dropping physical standards to allow women to serve in the field is a severe danger to our society
Agreed. Im all for woman doing any job they want, Provided standards arnt dropped just to accommodate them.
I was in the army over a decade. Women recruits made more money than the men ( because men in Denmark are drafted women start as constables) women have more time to pass the 5k run. They get things to step on during the obstacle course and generally they would get all the easiest tasks. I did know one or two women that would lift more run faster and work harder than most men, but that was definitely not the norm.
DEI = Didn’t Earn It ☠️
Maybe, maybe not. It depends, look at the IDF.
Women have been pushing for “equality” for a very long g time - give it to them if they want to test their “mettle” against men - especially ones that wouldn’t think twice to torture them before killing them in combat - they only want “boardroom” jobs and power not jobs requiring physical and mental strength
"Are men better at certain things than women...", well yes, at being a woman according to recent awards.
With same height and weight men are 20% stronger.
😂😂😂
Men are breaking ALL of the women’s world records 😂
We even won Time's Woman of the Year :D :D :D GO MEN!

I always appreciate Douglas Murray!!
Keep it coming please John.
It’s very pleasing to hear and listen how Douglas thinks and can express himself.
Dougie loves the sound of his own voice. But he's just a person making money out of yapping but not helping society. Like Jordan Peterson, his time in the spotlight will end. He is just as woke as the wokes. Just from a another woke hemisphere.
Mr Murray would be right to dismiss interpreting society by interest groups because morality comes from one higher than ourselves. Trouble is our society has lost sight of who this is. The influencing social divide that once governed our society was that of good and evil defined by the 10 commandments.
Wokeness: a new tribal religion
unlike the other religions...
@@paperback333 Wokeness is definitely unlike other religions.
Yes, that seems still to be missed by almost everybody. New religions don't go away because they're madness like their detractors assume. The best you can do is to not be taken over by them and we're failing at that.
The next US president may well be the guy backed by people who want to turn the world’s most successful democracy into a theocracy. Are we worried about that as well?
Douglas is sooo correct and cogent on this issue.
Outstanding and remarkable work John and Douglas exposing and declaring the truth! 💯 God bless you! 💯✝️🕊🙏❤️🇨🇦🇬🇧🇦🇺🇮🇱🇺🇸
identity is the opposite of individualism. Individualism is what makes one unique; identity is what makes you identical to everybody else within a certain group. Identity leads to collectivism; collectivism to totalitarianism.
Brilliant and cogent
Murray is brilliant!
Talking to crazy with common sense does not work. What's plan B?
In answer to the question why would we take the individual out of individuals? The idea is to confuse and make people generally unsure of themselves.
All human beings are sovereign individuals and the idea that we should collaborate as communities with shared interests is ridiculous. The minute anybody becomes part of a community, their individual identity is completely erased.
Maybe, but a society where people are loyal to the group and only have one view is easier to control.
he is describing doublethink perfectly executed
I have just recently revisited Orwell’s 1984 & the thing that struck me most was, as you have precisely identified, doublethink and newspeak have now been hard-wired & fully assimilated into our media and on-line narratives to such an extent that they have subverted both our use of language & our common-sense ability to objectively and rationally examine and discuss almost every topic under the sun. We now longer agree to disagree, or say we need time to think complex things through, all judgement has currently morphed into no more than an immediate reflex action. The other thing that the book 1984 reminded me of was the systematic and wilful destruction of love as a social good and its calculated replacement by universal hatred which we seemingly as a species have also undertaken almost without any comment or reaction. Hate, hatred, war, polarisation, divide and rule, ghettoisation and divisiveness are all there seems to be in our world in 2024. How did we get here? More importantly how do we get out of here?
Putting people into tight, essentialist boxes, according to characteristics they didn't choose, seems like the road to fascism. One group gains, one group stays about the same, one is victimized; each takes shots at each other, and blurring between the boxes or moving becomes a crime. All while the group on top smiles and claims it's for the best and nicest of reasons.
How _do_ we help ensure that all people have similar opportunities regardless of race, gender and sexuality? Do we want that? Because if we do we have to think about these things at least a little bit. Because people have prejudices that will win out without systems that account for them. It’s a ridiculous straw man to suggest that everyone concerned with these issues thinks people are entirely defined by race or gender or whatever. Isn’t it the opposite of defining people by their race or gender to say that you should be able to access every opportunity your talents permit regardless of those characteristics? There’s some double think going on there, surely?
@@lkyuvsad Easy. Focus on equal opportunity. That where we were in the 90s. The problem (for activists) becomes that it's slow, flawed, and insufficiently extreme. So the objective drifts into equality of outcomes (which is theoretically and practically impossible). This approach must push the classification and regimentation of people into tight boxes - because that is what is measured, that is the success factor: if a measure is racial diversity, you have to measure everyone participating or wanting to get involved by race - whatever that is. And every other intersectional gradation: ethnicity, language, accent, gender, mental illness, disability and so on. And which aspect - remediable, and worth focussing on for social mobility - is getting ignored? Class, aka poverty. By focussing on tight boxes of characteristics that can't be changed, we risk ignored the most obvious one that can - adjusting for equal opportunity and access for the economically disadvantaged.
Awful title. Wokeness is vanity driven idiocy, to call it morality is absurd.
I think its a form of modern Marxi'sm,
@@daniellebcooper7160 post modernism influenced by Kant,Hegel, Marx and the Frankfurt School.
Marxism, Hegelian Dialectic, Fabian Socialism, Revolution or Counter Revolution, Progressivism, Secularism, Deconstructionism, Nihilism… whatever school of thought, it’s the same old lies by which men (and women) seek to replace meritocracy and virtue with the pretense thereof, seeking gain without offering anything of true value, playing on the most base of human emotions, whether pride, fear, vanity, the ugliest of which is envy.
It‘s female emotionalism and won‘t go away.

Exactly
“Women are apparently exactly like men but better, because they are female but have rejected everything feminine (because it’s not acting like a man that’s toxic, it’s acting like a man while *being* one that’s toxic)” -Me, in my sarcastic voice
I try as much as possible to stay politically neutral.. centrist if you must, hence always wary of arguments from both sides, but.. a critique or basic judgement of todays nonsensical left wing is like shooting fish in a barrel, leaving the right simply stating the bleeding obvious.. so it seems its now down to the rest of us to get on with resisting this nonsense.. the right wing have their issues, but im thinking we need a swing back in that direction here in OZ, if only for some seriously needed political balance.. EVERY state and federal government on mainland Australia is currently Labour/left.. and that should bother anyone, regardless of any personal political bent, who is determined to make sure we remain a free, secular democracy.
Single party states always end up being disastrously incompetent.
As a centrist I've found that we are now classed as far right.
@@KernowFay Yep.. anyone who disagrees with todays fundamentalist left are considered right wing nazis..

What would happen if you diagnosed someone that way in your office and they complained to the appropriate people? I agree with you, but I've heard stories of severe backlash.
I wish you would say when these clips come from, as the debate moves on. This seems like an old Douglas Murray clip, from the way he expresses the issues around trans ideology

We need to put an end to “Wokeness” and get back to some normal common sense. Yes?
I don't have a problem with it if it is backed up by empirical proveable facts. What I do have a problem with is if it's entirely subjected, at odds with empirical data, and refuses to engage in reasoned criticism.

Just see who a guest writes for and it will give you an idea on where they are on the spectrum. The Spectator not the Guardian.
"They don't even exist" I thought men and women had differences. How does that work if they don't even exist?
They make women more masculine and men more effeminate. They break things down by 100s of genders and brainwash the young.
Ably aided and abetted by our ill measured and loose use of language. Where did the delusion that a superlative lends substance to discussion and debate when it only lends volume? It appeals to the smart arse I suppose but then the only person who appreciates a smart arse is another smart arse.
We are both created equal in the eyes of God, for we are both made in the image of God. That doesnt mean we are equal in other areas, i.e strength, proclivities, specialities, etc. Men are better/best at some things and women at others. Men have wide shoulders to protect. Women have wide hips to nurture. Those things dont change no matter how much the world says so or tries to distort or destroy it. God help us.
We should be evaluated on our individual merits. Should anyone be shut out of applying for certain jobs solely on assumptions based on gender or on their demonstrated competence at the job in question? Anytime I hear people say something like, "Shut up and just accept who and what you are." I often wonder if what they really mean is, "Shut up and accept my untested assumptions regarding your capabilities." Though I find woke extremism profoundly silly, I find that the right tends to revert to an unwillingness to recognise the talents and accomplishments of the outliers.
How a benevolent billionaire can save Western Civilization: fund research on gender and race, hire a brilliant guy like Douglas Murray to run an institute to sort out our understanding of race and gender, based on science. Hire people like Heather & Brett Weinstein.
Trans extremely rare one in 4000 masculinity in woman and femininity in men
The answer is simple accept the creator’s plan?
Rather the exact opposite, reject creation and accept our inability to know.
With respect I would suggest that you're implying that humans cannot detect fundamental universal truths about our behavior. If you authentically believe that, I would advocate a careful reading of the Ten Commandments and the Seven Deadly Sins. Then ask yourself what is there in those widely accepted principles that we should honestly reject?
@@bearowen5480 indeed, the universal truth lies way beyond the human capacity to understand. As for our behaviour, we can only perceive things from our limited 3 dimensional 5 senses perspective. The Ten Commandments and seven deadly sins are but mere fairytales, used to control the masses. If you fail to recognise this it clearly demonstrates the truth of what I say. Only those that accept the fourth, and further dimension, sixth and even seven sense and beyond, whether or not we understand such, realises this truth that we simply cannot know the truth of the universe. Why the divine is a mystery that can not be named. And “God” is a name, a false truth.
And which creator would that be?
@@bearowen5480 did my response get deleted? Reject the Ten Commandments and the 7 deadly sins. They do not exist!

Television advertising so obviously attempts to move women into traditional mens areas , whilst emasculating men in ways which make them look foolish , incompetent , and less tough than the women who are often portrayed in those same adverts . Football ads show women and young girls determined to succeed , despite the obstacles put in their way . In one , the caring dad gets his community to help his young daughter , who has been stopped by some old guy from playing football in the backyard , put together a workable football field . A very commendable course of action depicting a caring male ; a old male who doesn't ' get ' young girls playing football in the streets ( like boys do much of the time ) ; and community spirit harnessed to further the cause of girls football . Another , an advert for the RAF , shows a determined female determined to attain fighter pilot status - a small propeller driven aircraft is not good enough for her ! It's everywhere . Well , come the next major war , we will know ...
