They have been quite the travelling pair of headphones. I reviewed them here on my channel, sold them to Justin and now they have made it into your hands. I loved this headset and I think we feel about the same on them
Gamesky indeed. I was happy I could send them out so people can hear about them. I got the velour pads for them though as the leather ones would make me sweaty after a few hours of gameplay but they are solid.
PAINFULLY HONEST TECH why do u choose these over the arctus 7
@@JustinPullin where did you get them? Are they just the ones that also fit a hyper x cloud Ii?
@@JustinPullin how u get velour pads?are better than the leather
damn it must be why justin is so cracked at fortnite my guy
Just wanted to say thanks for all these headphone reviews to go through. Been wracking my brain for the last 2 days about getting anew headset. My Sony gold that I purchased back when the ps4 came out has been seen much, much better days but still has incredible sound.
First found your channel searching for HyperX Cloud reviews. They were a great buy, my son thrashes the hell out of them gaming and listening to music.
I just received these as a gift from my wife. I will agree with your review and I would like to add this note. The headphones also block out the exterior noises. And this improves the audio performance of the headphones. I have been a Corsair fan in the past, but I'm going to give these headphones a try.
Thanks for the video. Do you like these headphones better than the Astro A20s? I don't miss the 7.1 surround sound from other sets but the chat/game mixer is very useful on the Astros
i always love your reviews on gaming headset's!
I have a few questions.. Been following you for a year now nd I picked my a50s.. swapped them out due to battery damage over time got the a20s now. I enjoy them just asmuch.. What I need to know is does this balance voice chat and game chat well enough that it doesn't require me to do it myself like the Astros do. Which is a reason I really enjoy. Also. Do I have to remove the USB drive everytime I stop using my headset nd want to stream hulu on my ps4.. Thnx ahead for the response
Hello! can I ask you which is better? sennheiser gsp 350 or hyperx cloud revolver s?
real nice review... after few hours of researching you sold me on those
How'd you like the headphones after having them for a while now?
Any updates?
love ur vids keep up the good work!
This made me happy, I am looking for a realy cheap headset, and I like the more discrete look on things. I actually got this headset after I watched this video. Great review, great job!
Are these great to hear enemy footsteps in games? And an all round good gaming headset?? Thanks
I am looking at these to replace my pulse elites. I loved the pulse elites sound signature. Are these similar?
KZhead notifications have been messed for some reason. I even have the bell enabled for you. For wireless I cannot believe how well they feel and the stereo sound is very good for directional sound. would've preferred no led lights to be honest.
You can turn the lights off. That's what I do. It saves the battery life a bit more.
now my question is, can you use this headset on pc and xbox at the same time? with my current setup I have the astro a50 wireless. I use the usb to connect to pc and the charging stand while i have an optical cable plugged into my xbox while that cable is still plugged into the charging stand as well. Can i do this with this headset? edit: I am a streamer so i have a XLR mic, Im just wondering if i can use these the same way that i have my astros. Basically can i have them setup to where i can hear both pc and xbox at the same time?
Hello and thanks for the review. As i was researching for this headset i saw some posts about problems with the mic in Ps4 (it does not pic your voice due to noise cancelation) as well as connectivity issues with Ps4 (they say you need to be very close to the console). Is it sth that you have experienced while playing? I would appreciate it if you could give us a feedback on the above issues. Thx.
is the sounds as good as cloud alpha?
Using them for a year now, I tried the Corsair Virtuoso SE sure the sound mortification are endless but the sound quality and the battery life is a bit trash for the price. Sold it and still using my flight till this day! I have my eye on the OrbitS though.
Hi, make a corsair hs70 review / verbal comparison with those, I want to buy one of them and I'm not sure if they worth the extra money.
Corsair headsets are garbage
JTL in your opinion do you think it’s worth the upgrade from a Sony Golds? I also have the Pulse Elites, but they are PS3 natives.
JTL what is your daily gaming headset driver? I am trying to decide between the astro a50 gen 3 or the cloud alpha
Jason, I've just got to say... It was so nice to see that you reviewed this headset. I've been looking all over the internet reading/watching reviews on wireless headsets and I had pretty much narrowed it down to these or the Logitech G935s. I was so happy to see that you had a video on them (I usually watch your phone reviews), and it convinced me to pull the trigger so I just ordered a set on Amazon (they are on sale for $125 too)! Keep it real man, thanks for the great content!
How are they 3 months later? Battery? Comfort? Build?
For anyone interested in how the Logitech G935 felt like; in my experience, sound quality was top notch, mic had nice quality too (big plus for me was that it selfmutes when moving the mic upwards). Bad things were only 10 hours or less battery, so be sure the charge them overnight. They weren't comfortable at all, a lot of pressure on my head, i had to put on hoodies to counter the pressure (this is just a personal matter tho). Now my dongle broke and have to look for a new headset :( gonna try these HyperX Cloud Flights I think.
This or cloud alpha? I heard the dual chamber design is great, but so is wireless. Another factor for me is comfort so which one is better overall? If i get the alpha, i will plug these into an amp.
Solid review 👍🏻
Hey i have seen you test the hyperx cloud flight and logitech g933 can you say which one is better? I can't decide for very long time i thinking about buy one of this headphones mostly for games like Cs:go or Battle royal type like Apex Pubg (answear me plz)
Hello. i discover your channel today and this video is cool. My opinion : good headphones but the only problem is the white noise that can be heard when the sound is not very loud in a game (calm environment as sometimes in far cry or RDR2). Do you have this white noise in the headphones you tested?
My girl bought these for me last xmas 🎄 I thought they would be junk, then I got on a game with them and was really surprised how awesome they sounded. They feel really good too. Even after long hours they feel good. I wear glasses and they don't hurt me like my turtle beaches used to. And the TB headset were supposed to be made for glasses too lol. Anyway, it's been close to a year, I use them everyday on PS4 and they are still great!
What is a great headset that will let me have god hearing to Pubg player footsteps and that also has a good mic?
*A PainFul Thumbs up from Morocco , i did gotten the recolver pro ones and it is really tightly clear surround sound effective for gaming , i just started gaming some 4 days ago , on fortnite and CS:GO , keep it up helpful review , i''d like to see more of such reviews about other products ! and also for some gameplays !*
Top review as usual by you Jason. One thing was missing from the review that I would really appreciate either Jason or someone with real experience of this headset to answer -- do the HyperX Cloud Flight S have decent Mic Monitoring / SideTone for the PS4/Pro ? A real honest answer from this would be appreciated.
How can you hear directionality with stereo? Isn't that just sounds from two directions
Hey any chance you can do you a review on the RIG 500 PRO HX GAMING HEADSET? It's something I'm considering purchasing soon so I was wanting a professional opinion. Loving the channel btw.
Luke Dickinson my experience is that my buddy can hear an echo. I’m returning them today
Are these better than the Stealth 700? Thinking of replacing them after 2 months. They’re not that comfortable and my wife says she can’t hear me well over the mic.
I prefer using stereo to 7.1. It's way easier to tell where a sound is coming from using plain stereo. I have the cloud II's at the moment and have the 7.1 button turned off permanently. Thinking about switching to these for the wirelessness. The sound from hyperx headphones are above and beyond the competition imo.
Did u ever get the flight wireless? I’m thinking about getting a pair. Either the cloud 2s wired or the flight wireless
@@bradendiel9335 Yeah I ended up buying the wireless. TBH the sound in the wireless is noticeably worse than the wired, but that's the only negative i have about them atm. I would switch back to my wired cloud 2's if i didn't find the wireless so useful when walking around my house.
@@pvpherthen2981 thanks bro I just copped the cloud 2s
If want honest review just listen this guy! He convinced me to get HyperX Cloud 2 headset and its be heaven for my ears....
just found this channel and now i've been binging for the last two hours watching gaming headsets... is that weird?
You can see the amount of time and effort you put into each video! Great job!
MrBanchini turn back before you succumb to headset addiction lol
Only if you treat it as porn.
I’m really confused on which headset to get. I have $150 to spend but I keep going back and forth with these 2 headsets. I use a PS4 for gaming and also use a PC from time to time. I want wireless headset because I’m tired of wires. I had the Sony plus for like ever and it’s crapping out on me. So I need an upgrade and the Arctis 7 and hyperx flight seem to come up a lot. I am also looking at the sennheiser game one but it’s not wireless, so these are a few headsets I’m debating on. I want to be able to hear footsteps and know where they are coming from but also want explosions that will also make me feel I’m immersed in the environment. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
man loved the vid , first one of yours ive ever seen but honestly i think u should add a bit of low profile music in the background and possibly cut the silent parts out
hyperx cloud revolver S or hyperx cloud flight?
Hey Jason. I have recently discovered (and subscribed to) the channel through my search for a new gaming headset. I love the in-depth reviews. I have a question for you, and this may be a long read, so I would really appreciate a response. I am primarily a PS4 gamer, but I also have a PS3, as well as an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One. So I am basically looking for a headset that offers compatibility with all of these consoles. Right now, I am using a pair of Kingston HyperX Cloud Revolvers (the original ones). They are an amazing pair of headphones, but the lack of compatibility and EQ settings really is unfortunate. Comfort, sound quality, and compatibility are important to me. I would prefer wireless, but it’s not a necessity. The mic isn’t too important to me, since I don’t play online anymore. Out of all of the headsets that you have had the opportunities to use, what would you recommend? I am perfectly comfortable with spending $150 or more. Thank you so much for the great reviews on the channel, and for taking time to read this. Have a good night!
Chase Alexander Vann I’m not Jason but I’ve heard that the hyper x alpha is a good choice
Shroud wears these
Alex C I will now change the reply so every other reply to this reply doesn't make any sense
BioSpec. No mean to sound rude bro
BioSpec I guess but I didn’t mean to sound rude
Inv1ctus I care
Inv1ctus ur mum does
Why you did not mention the white noise? I bought them and it is very enoying.
These or the Revolver S or Game zero
Great review, I was tossing up between these and the Turtle Beach Alpha Professionals and you sold me on these guys so thank you. Liked and subbed.
What do you think of them?
when the battery dies..can you connect a cable and use it like that?
Who makes you're desk or is that a DIY special?
how do i make them wired they disconnect every 5 seconds when im charging them and they didnt even last an hr when i charged them for 3 hrs
earpads replaceable or not?
Are these around the ear and does your ear touch the plastic part
Would you recommend these for Video Editing as well as gaming? I'd really appreciate your feedback on this.
They’re super good for fps games and just games in general. If you want editing headphones I would recommend Arctis 7’s
There 100 bucks now on Amazon should I get these or the stealth 600 for the same price
hey there jtl, would like to ask for recommendation from you, i'm in a low budget to getting a gaming headset but in the same would be good if it can be a multipurposed one, for now in my list is the HyperX cloud Stinger so whats ur thought~ thanks in advance
The HyperX Stinger is really good for the price, definitely the best if you are on a budget.
Are these better sounding wise than the cloud alphas
Please do a review of the new steel series pro headsets
Sir, should i buy these for 112€ or the sennheiser hd 599 for 99€ + mod mic 50€ = 150€ ? (For Gaming) are the extra 50€ worth ?
I love my Cloud II and I was looking forward for a wireless headset from them. I think I would've been sold if the design is the same from Cloud II/Alpha but wireless. I think I'll wait for their new ones.
But they're Bluetooth so won't work as well on ps4, am I right? I'm far from being an expert
Got razer threshers for ps4 and I'm happy! Footsteps are a beaut!! And the sound in general but I'm an amateur 😂
BOMBheadDOM Iam thinking to buy them is the sound good and does it have detachable mic
earpads same like cloud alpha ?
A friend recommended these to me, let me test his out and I was sold. Went and got a pair the next day. Amazing headset, was playing escape from tarkov on pc with these and sounds were absolutely spot on, they’ve been great. I just cannot get them to work on my Xbox at all, the moment I plug it into my controller, I get no sound at all. No matter what I do. But even then, I bought them for my pc so that’s not even a big deal. Highly recommend.
they're not working on XBox
@@WesleyBtje they are only made for PC and ps4
@@WesleyBtje edit: i mean they only work on xbox if they're wired
But this headset can be connected to the hyperX external soundcard if you want 7.1 surround. Granted that they will then be on cable, but it's still an option.
Could you please help me with that? The Hyperx external soundcard?
can i play with them while im charging them?
I’ve tried these they’re pretty good except in the mic category! If you don’t play online w friends it’s a decent headset w a great look but I wouldn’t make them my main headset
I bought the Cloud Revolver S after you gave that so much praise...you think it's worth picking up these to replace those? Only had those for like 8 months though.
Adil honestly the only advantage to flights is wireless from revolver.
tks for review, Where I can buy this headphone? I am living in Vietnam
vậy đã mua được chưa bạn eey? >.
Amazon
Hi!! could you tell me if RF dongle work in MacOS? thanks!
You’re review style is pleasant. You should consider doing tech news. Your voice and style would also be great for that! Subbed! :)
I just watched your review on these and on the revolver s. im torn between the cloud flight's or the revolver s which sound better for fps games like pubg/cs:go?
i use the revolver s and I am really tempted to get a flight because its wireless and I dont like the revolver s Self adjusting headband
This is a very late comment but I hope you see this, I think you should do a comparison between the cloud flight and the cloud alpha so I can get an idea of what I should buy because I know I want one of the two
I love the design of these headphones but all the headphones I’ve bought have ended up having the head extensions snap, these were the stealth 500p, and px24 both turtle beach, will these snap too?
Demonspain my Hyper X cloud have dropped around 10 times in couple years, less than 5 years and still are good. I can't see if rotation connection is from metal, but holds good. Why dropped? Because i was charging and listening at the same time when it didn't last till the end of day. And my pc is at floor level, when i go pee sometimes forget that it is connected, charging, and end up dropping, dragging from my head. Already snapped 2 wires :) usb port still good on pc and headset. Plan to put pc on desk in future.
do these work on laptops
can you review steelseries arcitic pro with its gaming dac ? thanks for the great review
Hawk101 You probably got whatever you got by now but I just got the Arctis Pro Wireless and I gotta tell you...it’s horrible. Returning them tomorrow.
Why are you returning it?
Paradox No bass, no oomph, no surround at all. stereo or virtual surrond doesn not matter. No surrond whatsoever. and I'mm mostly comparing it to my old void pro wired which was 1000% better. I got the Cloud Flight and I love it.
Paradox Janos Molnar accound is also mine. Forgot to switch it before I replied you.
@@molnarjanos92 same man, i got them a few days ago. after trying to learn to love them, it has been the most uncomfortable experience in my life. i love everything about it except that i have to take a break from wearing them every 15 minutes. ITS NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL! :(
So if you were to pick a hyperx headset would you go with the flights or hyperx revolver s? Appreciate any reply in advance
I know this isn't really answering your question so I do apologize. But, Personally I just bought a pair of cloud stinger cores I've only had them for a few days so we'll see how they hold up long term. But so far they are awesome. For $59.99 CAD they are a freaking steal. They are well built, very comfortable and dont make your ears sore, and the sound is great, been playing apex legends with them lately and it's like freaking cheating man can hear people inside houses walking and stomping around from like 20+ feet away get the beat on EVERYBODY. So to answer your question go with whatever suits your needs man search up the features and such and see what most suits what you need them for. If my cheaper cloud stingers are as great as they are I can only imagine what a more expensive pair is gonna do for you. I personally went cheap to see if I liked this brand and I dont think I'll buy from anyone but hyperx from now on! Sorry for the long rambling though. Happy gaming friend!
@@tbc_castles782 thanks for the reply man. I ended up with the revolver S and absolutely love them. Been a hyperx fan since i bought the original clouds about a year and a half or so ago
Hey I need ur help with this. I like everything the only thing stopping me is the mic dosent work when wired with the cable provided. I wanna use these on phonecalls. Is there another cable i can use other than the one hyper x provides. Please let me know if this is possible. Thanks
It is because the cable is only a 3 pole cable, you need a 4 pole cable to use mic. (TRRS) You can get them on Amazon/eBay or wherever.
Bought these on Amazon for $80 nearly a month ago. Gotta say they are really good, sound pretty good look good. The part I have problems with is the battery life, idk if it's me not charging them all the way or it just doesn't feel like 30 hours. Another issue is that there isn't a battery life meter or a way you can tell how much life is in the headset
Kevin Neville There is battery charger meter, when you hold your mouse cursor over speakers icon on your bottom right corner. My headset lasted from 2-5 days when i bought it, depending on my usage. Now 1-3 days, couple years later. If you don't turn off lights on sides, it decreases your battery life. 2 things that i don't like about them. 1.) I want there would be 2 batteries, 1 in each ear, so when one in use, goes down, you can charge other at the same time. It would increase lithion battery lifetime. You can use it while it is plugged in charger, but not sure if it is charging while you listen at the same time... if it is then it lasts way less when i take off charger. 2.) I want it would come with 2 removable foam cushins, looks like this will last less than 5 years, and i would need to buy another foam. Ideally i would like that brands make foams last longer than battery, because they are cheaper to throw out than buy new foam couple years later. I bought Raycon headphones couple weeks ago, 1 gaming and 1 everyday use, because now at long sessions when i use Hyper x from wake up till sleep they don't hold all day, so i need 2 wireless headphones a day. But Raycon are over 100 euro, but more annoying, everytime when i turn it on, it sings Raycon name, sounds like ad :) and it says power on. Hyper X are more discrete, when i turn on, it only beeps for second. And Hyper X ear cups are big, good for my big ears, and glasses, i feel comfortable even after 12 hour sessions.
How long do they take to charge
I wasn’t sure whether to get these or the 7.1 Razer threshers but I’d rather get these, thanks for summing up the 2.0 sound
So they don't have the option to control the game chat? I thought they did.
For sound quality playing on ps4 wich would you choose cloud flight or cloud alpha looking to really hear footsteps and such
Whiskers 762 get the revolver s
I've had a pair of Steelseries Arctis 7 wireless since they came out and loved the simple design of how you adjust them with the velcro, anyways something finally went wrong with them but was able to get them replaced for free. While in the store was looking at what to buy, then return once I got a new pair of Arctis', i picked these up AND I AM INSANELY SURPRISED. I'm not even sure I want my Arctis back, only thing I havent tested is microphone quality.
Any updates?
I feel that it's stiff.. is it fully made of plastic?
the sound of this is equal or better than the alphas?
I got this headset and after little use it suddenly wouldn't even turn on or charge anymore with no apparent reason as to why. I don't game too often so I'd just leave it hanging up. I only had the pair for like a week or 2. Might be a faulty battery though.
there is no surround sound on this?
Need headset for PUBG Xbox one any suggestions under$150-175 thinking of getting this headset
The annoying thing about it is the auto shut down when it doesn't track sound after awhile. Sometimes it'll just do it even if there's sound and the mic is a bit problematic being too faint and it doesn't always track well in programs like Discord, even if it's close to your mouth. Other than that, this was my first wireless headsets and I've been on PC since Compaq was a thing so I have to give it around a 7 out of 10 for me.
The hyperx cloud flight does it go louder in wired mode compared to the hyperx cloud alpha and cloud 2?
Wanna destroy your ears ot what? :D
how do you know if the headset is done charging and also how do you put on the led in breathing mode?
young guru hi
Can you review the Rig 800 lx, please?
Great idea on doing a Golds 2 review. They are still the best for ps4
they're grea tim wearing them right now had them for a few motnhs. wireless and love the red leds, i make sure they flash though so they take u pless battery rathern than just leaving them static
Hi, would it be possible to use these plugged into an xbox controller, with a modmic?
Evan Ree hello, I believe in the packaging it comes with a double sided headphone cable so you can just plug that straight into the controller
7:44 can you see the dust falling down?
Harraz Dinie bruh that’s his hair i think 💀💀

They've released a CloudX Flight headset for Xbox. Looks like they added a chat mixer on the ear cups. Might be worth checking in to and seeing if they come off better than the Cloud Flight? Just bought a pair for myself and they were $129.99 which I thought was a solid price point.
4yrs later are they worth 80?
@@dakota1420 oh yeah $80 they’re worth it. HyperX makes good stuff for their prices. They’re not always the most rigid or offer the most bells and whistles but they’re solid no matter what.
These or Astro A20?
Hyperx cloud flight or astro a50 gen 3... with is the best? i'm playing on PC
I Bought the astro a50 but ended up returning them.. the sounds was good, but not much better than my old hyperx cloud 2's.. and the sounds insulation sucked!!! i could hear every keystroke.. so i bought the flight's and i'm loving them!!
@@mikaelm7900 Which one would you recommend at the same price, Cloud 2 or flight?
But, is it better than the Astro A50's disregarding the price seeing that I already own the A50's and looking for upgrades?
I have the A40s (same headset pretty much, if I'm correct the only difference is wireless). I wouldn't get Astros, the Cloud 1s I had were 100x more comfortable - the A40s slip around due to the velvety kind of soft material and they don't clamp enough. Don't know how similar they are but I'd pick Clouds over Astros any day
I want these since i PC and Ps4 game . Im curious tho can they be paired to a Iphone
Nah they can't they're not bluetooth. You can use them with a wire though to your iPhone.
How about testing the lucidsound ls40?
I’ve never really tried anything else but these and I love them..
hyperx cloud flight vs logitech g933 ?
HyperX
Only unfortunate part I found in these is that there is no mic when ur hooked up to an Xbox or phone.
