In this video, I help Rosie, a dog looking for its forever home. Rosie, a Staffordshire bull terrier, has been showing signs of aggression towards other dogs at the shelter as well as other issues (separation anxiety). We go through several exercises together to learn the basic of dog psychology and dog training.

  • In 2005 I got a 9 week old staffordshire puppy. I was told she would turn on me when she got older. I turned to your show and binged watched everything. She died 8 days before her 17th birthday. I am proud to say, she was my world and thanks to you I learned to be a pack leader and we had mutual respect for each other. Thank you.

    • Before the English kennel club accepted this breed in the early 20th century. The people that were modifying this breed used to kill any dog that showed any aggression towards humans, be that adult or child. They did this for over 50 years beginning in the late 19th century. In Britain they are known as the “Nanny Dog” because of this inherent ability to not show aggression towards humans.

  • As soon as Rosie felt stable, calm and powerful leadership... You can see if she just became so thankful and calm. That's literally all any of us wanted as children. And that's all dogs want. Everything changes with healthy strong and confident leadership. Instead, we have upbringings by people who have not mastered themselves. They are foodaholics, shopaholics, alcoholics, even exercise and bodyimage addicts (thanks to the Kardashians and the like and social media). We have shelters run by people not in control of themselves. It's a pandemic if pitiful addictions. Rosie is giving everyone a message. Wake the heck up and get on top of your pitiful selves. Thank you, Rosie and CESAR!!

  • Our dog is a Staffy cross and looks very similar. She is very gentle in her manners especially with children, although she used to jump on people because she's very affectionate but I trained her to prefer a belly rub. She is very territorial and it's only there her aggression shows. If she gets out on her own she's only looking for affection or other dogs to play with. In the yard I'm sure she would attack an intruder without training, but she's fine with visitors unless they trigger her instincts, which is all dogs have to go on. She appears protective without unnecessary aggression.

  • NO LADY.. Rosie’s issues are clearly because of the rescue home because she hasn’t got a clue how to be around dogs.. the rescue home would be great if the woman actually learnt how to communicate with dogs. It saddens me to see rescue places who have people working there without any knowledge because the dogs end up being killed because the people don’t know how to rehabilitate dogs.. AND THEY COULD LEARN WATCHING CESAR.. ❤ For decades now I have adopted Cesar’s way and I have perfect dogs and help others to learn how to communicate and be with their own dogs. I wish The DOG Whisperer was still on tv because some people desperately need to change their attitudes towards dogs. I would give a kidney to my dogs 😂 because I adore them so damn much but I respect them for being dogs NOT HUMANS.. Once people understand and learn Cesar’s techniques it’s so damn easy.. and natural.. and creates an even stronger bond with dogs because you understand them completely.. I look at my dogs eyes and KNOW IMMEDIATELY what they are feeling..

  • I don't like pitbulls they are naturally aggressive by breed. takes a strong pack leader to control these dogs.

    @King_TuTT@King_TuTT2 ай бұрын
    • 😂 welcome Karen. That's an absolute false statement, that has been propagated by the media. Pitbulls are NOT more "naturally" aggressive, than any other dog. As a vet tech and certified dog trainer(specializing in behavioral issues), having worked and volunteered at shelters in 4 different states, I have the education AND experience to prove you wrong. Yes, the original pitbull line were bred, abused, and trained to kill rats and fight other dogs for only 25-30 years. Yet they would kill any pitbull who attacked a human. When dog fighting was banned, pitbulls still had desirable traits of strength, indurance, hard working, loyal, etc... So for the last 164 years, they have been bred for guarding and companionship, especially in family settings. Almost 200 years of being bred and trained for compassionate, gentle, loving, and loyal family dogs. If they are "naturally aggressive", then why does this breed always pass the tempermant test? Every year, 80-90% of this breed passes on the temperament tests. How is that possible? If they were "naturally aggressive", the majority would be FAILING these test every year.
