  • Two powerful breeds cooped up-without activities or mental stimulation, it’s not surprising they got in a scuffle. It mimics how siblings (or family) start to bicker when together too long in the car lol.

    • I understand the comparison that you are presenting but, actually with dogs it is different. In the wild, they are together 24/7 unless they go off separately to hunt but they are a pack animal and that pack mentality is super strong and they are able to be together unlike humans without all the chaos in between as long as they feel like they serve a purpose.

    • @@pittymama4500 Humans are also social animals. We have always lived together in social groups as we need each other for survival. Until, that is, something separated us from other. There are a lot of possible causes, but essentially when we got greedy and started wanting more for more's sake - having more than our neighbour - that we fell out of social harmony. Religion helped us along the way, but originally we lived in social groups peacefully, like all the other primates.

    • @@katestevens86 Right, I understand that. I was just being sarcastic about the current social culture of "I'm better than you" "cancel culture" and willingness to take it as far as they can just to win. It's not anything near a peaceful balance. Wild animals are still maintaining a balance within social circles for the most part and they don't choose to follow unstable leadership like we most certainly have proven to do so.

There are soo many pitbull type dogs and a lot of them are there for a long time. My shelter doesn’t euthanize which is great but I wish more people took a chance on shelter dogs. They just didn’t get good owners in the beginning. They can easily be great family pets if someone took a chance and did the right thing by being a good owner.

Kids copy and amplify what they witness from the parent’s behavior of Mom not listening to Dad because of false masculinity, feminism, and Fathers not listening to Mom because of genetic predisposition masculinity, which makes it appear that no one is in charge and everyone is fighting for their own selfish way as the kids learn to fight the parents from the parents. Since equal partnership debates or fights are only ended by a compromise, kids see debate compromise as love and respect, because that is all they know from the ones they love. So, when a parent wants obedience from their kid, the kid sees it as disrespect without love. Why? (Because the kid didn’t get a debate followed by a compromise) Parents don’t recognize this as the problem and think it’s the way it is and give up. Gov’t, Church, Army, Coaches, and Successful Businesses use 1 leader and not 2 equal leaders. Your family is a team. Who is the leader? Kids learn arguing from the parents until they turn parenting into a time consuming debate/compromise and not discipline, just as a bad behaved dog does, which leads kids to see bad behavior as a compromise and not a definite no.

  • I always hear people talk about how important it is to exercise big dogs, and having grown up around big dogs, I know how important lit is for these puppos to be stimulated through socialized play. But I want to argue that exercising little dogs is just as important. They might not have to exercise at the same levels as bigger breeds, But I know so many little agitated dogs that resort to violence out of anxiety and (probably) boredom because they're just sitting on the couch all day with their pet parents. That's why I love seeing Ceasar running with little puppos alongside big ones. A little dog should be trained with the same diligence as a big dog!

Everyone says some dogs are evil and aggressive with all that energy. Her dogs never had that problem. Yeah, they'll get excited and bark when someone comes to the door but they don't jump on the people, they're not all up in your space, and when she goes "shhh" they stop barking. All her dogs always been chill. They just want to lay in your lap and sleep and be loved on. Even her chihuahua was a very chill dog.

  • That rotty is an amazing dog with an amazing temperment. Even though it's obvious that Cypher has started fights over and over and over, thanos still is able to remain in a calm state around him. He holds no ill feelings about his pack mate even still. He has the appropriate level of confidence that enables him to forgive and move on. I wonder if this is a normal temperament for rotties? I've never been around one to be familiar with the breed tendencies.

    • They need a big yard, good socialization and a very firm hand during the teenage years. So...really not that different that a lot of breeds. They can be super chill, confident and it is one of the breeds who might defend your family. I am a cat person, but they are probably the only dog breed I would own.

  • I watched cesar since the 1st episodes of dog whisperer. He was wearing costco shirt, very simple place to rehab dogs with his 1st fav dog, Daddy. I learnt lotss from him. I used to have dogs in childhood but didn't know how to properly train and raised dog. When I watched his videos, I knew that I still need to learn. When finally I have place and enough financial to raise a dog, I did research what kind dog should I have then match it with my own energy level and life style together with my knowledge I got from Cesar videos. I do not disappointed 😊. Applied theory to reality is not easy but I love my journey raising my puppy. Failure and success are my adventure. Scratches bruises, leash pulling were including in my journey book 🤣 but I kept learning how to fix it and self introspection by seek trouble shooting in cesar videos. My dog is now 5 yrs old and he is perfect for me. I love my dog in a right way ❤️

I put a prong collar on him in a pet store. Within a minute I got eye contact and a calmer dog. It was my last resort, but it worked. He would bark and pull uncontrollably before I tried it. No matter what. There is a place for it in extreme cases. Never had to use one before. Guess it depends on the dog.

    • No one wants a spoiled dog or kid by coddling them to the point where they don’t respect you as a pack leader.

I dared not even consider Doberman, despite loving intelligent breeds, because their brain keeps growing within their skull for shorter lifespan & I would think becomes painful - may not be true, but I just couldn't put myself through that heartache. Having to male sibling GS, I need to learn how to handle male aggression between them before things escalate, visiting granddaughters to think about, so I will be paying close attention to this episode!!! I can't remember how it happened, but one of the dogs from the doberman gang was retiring from acting and i was offered the dog. • Also, I get that people r sometimes in love with a breed and want that dog, however they need to research the breed and understand the needs of that breed. Getting a Doberman or a Rottweiler just because you think they r beautiful or great guard dogs is not the best idea if you don't understand how to handle, exercise and manage that type of dog, especially when you have children. This is a big issue. Please think about your kids and the what the consequences might be with owning these large breed guard type dogs. I absolutely love rotties, but they need serious training and dobies even more as they tend to be a bit more nervous.
