  • I still have hope for the playoffs but if they don't get in I'm very happy with a few things. Crosby is still amazing and one of the nhl's best players. Doc is a beast and really showed more skill, determination and hustle than what most thought he could (he should be a solid part of this teams future), Bunting has been a great addition and hopefully helps to fix malkins line for all of next season. Jack St. Ivany seems to have proved he belongs in our line up and has played well and finally Ned battles for this team and has helped them stay relevant this late in the season. Hopefully the right moves are made this summer to infuse some more young and hungry talent.

  • You said what I was going to say about playing Zohorna or Jesse. Big Z has shown to be a career AHL player while Jesse has shown more promise and has a much higher pedigree. For those reasons alone, I’d opt for Pullijiarvi over Zohorna any day. Maybe they should’ve started Jarry in Boston, but they were so bad defensively in that game I’m not sure it would’ve changed the outcome. Jarry has a knack for not making the timely saves

  • We have to admit that this team is who they showed us they were all year long. Lack of consistency, giving up a goal w/i 60 seconds of when they score. 4-9 in OT (worst in the league in OT wins), PP thats never been better than 26th in the league and way too many short handed opportunities (1st). If i am being honest, i thought they were in the running for a top 10 draft pick. To be competing for a wild card in the last week of the season is better than i expected. Will they bring vellucci and reirdon back?

  • Sullivan probably should have given Jarry the start against Toronto to rest Ned for the more important games. It’s the same issues every time with this team. Goals given up after scoring, giving up goals late in periods. Dreadful PP. Rinse, repeat.

  • Actually Islanders not winning just makes it harder for the Pens. It's probably better if they don't have anything to play for in the last game. But sure, if the Islanders lose their next game in regulation, it's and extra out. It's also a reason for them to fight for their lives in the last game against the Pens though.

  • Do they deserve to be in the playoffs........two things (1) like last season, they squandered too many points throughout the season (2) You have to earn it. It's not a right. That said I hope they do for Sids sake. We've been blessed to watch him for almost 2 decades. Must be a group effort tonight. Yes, start Ned.

    • @moshtren22 how do you guys repeat the same factually incorrect nonsense? Is there like a handbook or something? My guess is you just don't actually follow the team. Ned has given up 5+ goals more times than Jarry this year in less starts - AND has less shutouts

  • Same problem every year that the Pens have . No Defense . Pens need to stop Drafting nothing but Forwards every year and start investing in Defense .

  • It's either going to be us or the Red Wings for the final spot. I have no clue how the Capitals are where they are. At the bottom of the league in shots per game and -40 goal differential. The Capitals will lose one of those games. Time to go out and by a Canadiens hat and say some prayers. Oh, and of course win our games. LOL

  • What a shock. What happened the last time they pulled Ned, for injury that time? Jarry gave up a goal on 3 shots and they lost in overtime. What happened this time? Jarry gives up the game winning goal on the first shot he sees. They have 2 games left. Ride Ned. Twice Ned left the game and twice Jarry cost them the game.

  • Nick, you sound like a band wagon fan. Where is the loyalty? I've been a fan longer than you've been alive. Don't be a Debbie Downer. All NHL teams go through this frustration. Some teams have never won. Be more positive. The Pens will come back. If not now, later. You sound negative. Minnesota, Buffalo, Columbus, etc have never won. The Pens have 5 cups. Their winning philosophy will return
