  • I’m just gonna say I think that Ned gets a lot of blame for the horrendous defence in front of him

    @pt93music@pt93music28 күн бұрын
    • Jars gets that same blame. Don't get me wrong, Ned was better than Jarry, but this fan base blames the goaltending INSTINCTIVELY, no matter who it is. The defense needs work.

    • @@ethanmcclelland4872 Jarry has years of demonstrated inability to ramp up during a playoff push. I think Ned with some proper coaching and given a season to figure it out would be a more solid option than people want to give him credit for.

    • @@pt93music what are these years? The COVID year he started one game, so I see it as unfair to blame a rookie Jarry for that. The Islanders series was HORRENDOUS, but he hasn't really had a shot since. The rangers series he couldn't play, last season was mediocre, but he wasn't given a chance to ramp up since the Islanders series in my opinion. The defense has been awful in front of both goaltenders, but giving Ned the benefit of the doubt and not giving any benefit to Jarry feels unfair.

  • Thank you guys (The two Nicks) for bringing the info and fun all season long. Its been a major disappointment to miss the playoffs two years in a row with the talent on this roster. I'm for and have been for a coaching change for years. I don't see this team turning it around for a full season under the current staff. The roster definitely needs a bit of a retool to add to the youth movement (doc and pusti) but I don't think they are as far off as they appeared most of this season. Hopefully it will be a good off season.

  • That was so gracious of the Islanders to do that and for Quick to be in attendance? Just great. Not letting him get off the ice, Sid going down the runway to get Carters family on the bench? Well done. Reirdon's contract should not be renewed. Vellucci? That PP has no excuses. As for the GM search, i think the job is more appealing now. I thought Spezza would take GM and Carter would backfill Spezza's current role.

  • I often wandered about the status of Doug Wilson. I know he has had some issues in the past. I was under the impression that he would be the next GM if he wanted the job. He brought the Sharks to the gates of the promised land more than once.

  • Unless they get Kucherov and MacKinnon, I don't think what Dubas does in the offseason matters with Sullivan still behind the bench.

    @AmoimanLives@AmoimanLives28 күн бұрын
    • Despite Sully this would have been a very successful team with a top 10 PP unit...no way Todd R is offered a new contact (it would be unbelievable) & the next PP coach will surely offer huge improvement. Add another 25-35 goal winger on the Malkin/Bunting line & we have two big lines. Dump Graves and R Smith (both brutally bad) and add 2 defenders. DOC is improving rapidly and may be a force by next season. Karlsson showed many signs the last month he's still the 100 point guy from San Jose. I like this team with or without Sully (preferably w/o). The coaching staff and GM failed to realize how huge a burden R Smith, Graves, Rakell and Todd R were (or they did and weren't in position to fix those problems this season).

  • Don't count on Dubas, he's a dummy. The worst decision Penguins upper brass made was hiring him. He thinks teams can win playing soft, ice capades hockey. In Toronto he unloaded big strong players for fast little guys who are ducking and afraid when the going gets tough. All they needed was a good corsi. He's a loser. I'm so happy Leafs got rid. When his ice capades corsi cronie Keefe is fired don't be surprised if Dubas hires him. He hasn't got a clue. Good luck Penguins you'll need it.
